Venus re-enters Libra-things get nicer

Venus will remain retrograde until November 16, when it turns direct at 25 degrees of Libra.

Venus has been retrograde in Scorpio Since October 5, and it re-enters Libra October 31, at 3: 42 PM, EST.

Venus is Scorpio is considered at its detriment, which means it is weak. I have found planets at their detriment misbehave, or cause us to act in ways we might do differently at another time. They can however serve a purpose. Venus (retrograde) in Scorpio can be secretive, jealous and even revengeful as it is ruled by Mars and Pluto. During this time we have heard a great deal about the #MeToo movement and Bill Cosby was sentenced to prison for sexual abuse.

Venus in Libra is considered at home, and Libra is ruled by Venus. Venus here is lighter and more prone to compromise and a desire for peace and harmony. Libra rules the 7th house of marriage and commitments.

Retrograde Venus is not the time to get married or make a major commitment. If you start a new relationship, things could change or end when Venus turns direct. Retrograde Venus is associated with people from the past. Some relationships end on a Venus retrograde and retrograde planets in general reveal previously unknown information.

Venus remains in Libra until December 2. December 3, it re-enters Scorpio where it will remain until early next year.

Venus opposes Uranus: Expect the unexpected

Venus is opposing Uranus and this transit becomes exact October 30/31.

Venus is retrograde in Scorpio and this can relate to money, love and  it can even have a touch of revenge in some cases.

People from the past can suddenly resurface and issues with love and money can take sudden twists and turns.

Some relationships can end at this time if they are unstable anyway.

The other side of this transit is a few days where you do something totally unexpected or unpredictable, and it can work out well.

Astrologers call Uranus unpredictable for a reason, and this transit can go either way.

We will see this transit play out in the collective as well, with more unexpected events and Uranus in mundane astrology is an explosive force, hence the situation we have recently seen with pipe bombs being mailed to two former Presidents and others.

Money could be interrupted again, and we could see large swings in the financial markets.

November 2018: Jupiter into Sagittarius, Uranus last stand in Aries

November is a pivotal month as Jupiter enters Sagittarius, Uranus retrogrades back into Aries one final time, not to return for 80 plus years, Venus turns direct, and Mercury retrogrades.

Uranus re-enters Aries for the next four months on November 6, mid-term election day in the US. Every time Uranus changes signs we can expect some sort of shake up, often unexpected. The 29th degree of Uranus or any other planet is called the anaretic degree, and it is considered a critical degree and is often crisis-oriented.

Since May 16, Uranus has been in Taurus and we have seen a number of changes in the world and in our lives. Uranus in Aries is ruled by Mars (action, aggression, assertion) and we have seen many geo-political changes over the last 7 years. Aries rules the first house of self, and self interests and many people around the globe have promoted their own self-interests in the past 7 years.

While Uranus spends its last 4 months in Aries we will likely see many crisis situations emerge around the globe and have the feeling that we only have so much time to accomplish something.

Uranus will square the North Node at 29 degrees of Cancer, and (retrograde) Venus in Libra creating a t-square or a clash. This symbolizes the past and past actions coming to a head in the present moment, collectively.  As Uranus is in Aries (self interests) this is in conflict with the N. Node in Cancer (homeland) and Venus in Libra (women, money and values), and these are the deep issues we will be dealing with during this last transit of Uranus. With the North Node in Cancer (ruled by the moon) women, in particular will make their voices heard at this time, along with their values.

Uranus turns direct January 6, and this will be another pivotal point in its last transit through Aries and look for significant events at this time, especially as it coincides with a powerful solar eclipse in Capricorn. Uranus will remain in Aries until March 6, 2019, when it will re-enter Taurus for the next seven years. During these years our lives and the world will change dramatically, and we will  be focused more on the outside world, money and finance and the Earth itself, as we will see more Earth changes and potential disasters.

As we begin the month Venus retrogrades back into the sign Libra, where it is considered at home and very powerful. Over the past eight weeks Venus has been in Scorpio, where it is considered to be at its detriment, making Venus related issues more difficult. Venus rules love, finance and values.

In Scorpio, Venus was secretive and at times even vengeful as Scorpio is ruled by Mars and Pluto.

Venus related issues will become lighter, and Libra relates to fairness and likes harmony.

But, the planet of love, beauty and values is still retrograde until November 16.

This is not the time to marry, get engaged, buy expensive items or have plastic surgery. If you begin a new relationship on a Venus retrograde its future is questionable and they say the love energy is never fully expressed.

As Uranus retrogrades back into Aries November 6, it forms an opposition with Venus. Venus opposed Uranus October 23-31 and we saw a large drop in the stock markets. This could happen again, along with other unexpected events. Some relationships could end.

Venus turns direct November 16, at 25 degrees of Libra in the early morning hours. If this aspects something in a positive way in your personal chart, you could see good results. You could meet someone new, or something else of a positive nature could happen. Venus stationing direct in a harmonious transit to any planet would being positive results.

Venus will remain in its shadow period until December 17. On December third it will make another pass through Scorpio that will last until the first week of January, 2019.

Jupiter leaves the sign of Scorpio for the next 12 years and enters Sagittarius on November 8 at 7:38 AM, EST. It will remain here until December 2, 2019.

Jupiter in Scorpio has had an enormous effect in our lives collectively and individually. Jupiter here has been a benefit to all water signs and has played a major role in the collective world.
Wherever Jupiter goes we see luck and gain.
Jupiter in Scorpio is ruled by Mars and Pluto, giving it an eighth house connotation. The eighth house rules sex, drugs, other people's money and change and transformation.
While in Jupiter the focus has been on the ongoing opioid  crisis in America and we have seen a resurgence of the #MeToo movement, and issues relating to sexual violence and inappropriateness.
Also, as the US is a Cancer nation, Jupiter in Scorpio has helped the economy. This won't be the case with Jupiter in Sagittarius.
Jupiter in Sagittarius is a Fire sign and all fire and some air signs will be helped with its placement here. Sagittarius rules the 9th house of world view, education, travel and foreign relations. Sagittarius is the luckiest of signs.
Jupiter effects in this sign will be to expand our consciousness, knowledge and understanding. Growth, generosity and abundance, and fairness are the trademarks of Jupiter in Sagittarius.
It will urge us to expand our higher minds, cultural and spiritual awareness and broaden our minds. At the same time we must not slip into an arrogant know-it-all attitude as this can be the downside of expansive Sagittarius
During its transit through Sagittarius, Jupiter will square Neptune three times. This will occur January 13-16, June 15-22, and September 15-21. While these are the periods Jupiter and Neptune will exact within 1 degree, they periods actually last much longer as Jupiter has an orb of 10 degrees.
When this occurs occur we can expect to see scandals, lies, untruths and will have to discern what is real and what is an illusion, both in our personal lives and our collective lives. This is also a transit relating to theft, and it can be theft of property, internet hacking, personal theft, or theft of the heart.
I liken this to the Saturn/Neptune square that occurred in 2016. We have since learned Russia made a concerted effort through social media to influence the US election. We also saw 8 major cyber attacks.
While the negative side of this will be manifested, the positive side will be creativity, psychic awareness and sudden understandings of the universe.
However, Neptune is a double edged sword and what may seem real, may only be an illusion and it may be hard to discern. Dreams will be vivid among many people.
Religion will come into play, real, or made up. We could see scandals related to religion, the Vatican and other entities.
The key will be to stay grounded at these times, and perhaps take the attitude, 'if it seems too good to be real, it probably isn't real.'
Sagittarius is known to be overzealous. It can expand the more negative qualities of the sign as well as the positive just as Saturn in Sagittarius did when it squared Neptune in 2016. Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter is connected to the law, politics, religion, creating wealth, and foreign interests.  Many people will have opinions on the world and politics, just as they did in 2015/ 2016 when Saturn was in Sagittarius.
Jupiter in this sign should work especially well for Sagittarians, who will reap significant benefit of Jupiter's placement here. Jupiter transits our personal signs once every 12 years.
As Venus turns direct November 16, Mercury turns retrograde the same day. It will remain retrograde until December 6.
Mercury will be stationary retrograde at 13 degrees of Sagittarius November 17-19. This is the point Mercurial energy changes, and delays, glitches and other unexpected situations occur.
Mercury has retrograded this year in fire signs, and this is the final retrograde of the year.
Now is not the time to marry, get engaged, start new projects, jobs, or buy high ticket items. Do so, and you will find that when Mercury turns direct some type of change occurs or you are not satisfied with what you started.
If you have to start a job on a retrograde Mercury, do so, but understand something will change or most likely it will not be your last job.
The bigger picture with this retrograde is Mercury's square to Neptune from  November 15-19, at 13 degrees of Sagittarius/Pisces.
Mercury-Neptune transits relate to lies, lack of clarity, untruths and an inability to see the big picture clearly. Be careful what you put in writing and check your email before you hit send. It may be hard for some to think clearly, and some previously unknown situations may be revealed at this time.
Other significant transits in November include:
November 7, the New Moon falls at 15 degrees of Scorpio. Scorpio rules the eighth house of taxes, debt, change, and other people's money. It creates a beautiful trine to Neptune and for some this may be a very idealistic time.
November 15, Mars enters Pisces. Pisces is a water sign that will work well with other water signs. It rules the 12th house of the zodiac, the subconscious mind and many things will be wrapping up between now and the end of the year. Mars here rules our action, and is not so aggressive in this sign. Planets in Pisces tend to flow rather than anything else. People will seem less aggressive and we may see new creative ventures, and things relating to psychic awareness. Action can seem more confused than direct.
November 19, Mars squares Jupiter and many things may be blown out of proportion. We could hear news of politics, law, or foreign connections. This is not inherently unlucky, and some people may gain luck on this day.  But, be cautious in what you promise others or what is promised to you.
November 22, the Sun enters Sagittarius and this is the mutable sign of fall when the weather begins to change toward winter. This creates a stellium of three planets in Sagittarius and we are officially in the Sagittarius season.
November 23, the full moon falls at 0 degrees of Gemini.  Gemini rules the third house of communication, ideas and immediate family members. It is associated with Mercury the planet of communication, travel and young people.
This moon forms a t-square or a clash with Jupiter and Mars. Moon square Mars is angry, volatile and prone to disharmony or even violence. things can get blown out of proportion quickly. I would not be surprised if we don't see violence in the collective. This is a full moon to be respected and tread carefully.
November 24, Neptune turns stationary direct. Neptune is the planet of mystics, religion, creativity and art, spirituality, and inspiration.  It is also the planet associated with illusion, confusion and delusion, addictions, lies and deception, self-deception, and the seamy side of life just to name a few things this powerful planet rules.
As this powerful planet goes direct confusion may increase for the time, and events will start to be revealed if it is aspecting other planets in your chart. Neptunian events have a tendency to appear as surprising, but in actuality the basis of Neptune related events was generally there all along, just hidden in a fog of confusion, lies or lack of clarity.  Such events tend to creep up on you and seem surprising at first, but the basis of the event was generally there, just obscured from recognition.
Surprises/events may occur for some individuals with Neptune in hard aspect in their natal charts.  If Neptune is good aspect to your personal planets it can come as a pleasant experience.
As with all retrograding planets, as Neptune turns around it will lead to confusion and misdirection as we get used to its new direction.
November 30, Venus opposes Uranus again for the third time in several months. Love may take a sudden or unexpected turn, unexpected events may occur and as with past Venus/Uranus oppositions we could see a change or drop in financial markets.

Uranus in Aries: Last Dance, November 6, 2018-March 6, 2019

Uranus (retrograde) re-enters Aries for the last time November 6, 2018-March 6, 2019. During this time it will remain at 29/29 degrees. It turns direct January 6, 2019 at 28 degrees, then re-enters Taurus for the next 7 years March 6, 2019.

While retrograde Uranian energies are more bottled up, and the individual becomes aware of the need for change  When Uranus turns direct those energies can be acted upon, seemingly in an unexpected manner. Events involving Uranus are often the inevitable result of a situation, and wake us up to what is really occurring in our lives, bringing sudden and sometimes shocking change.
This will be the last time the majority reading this will experience Uranus in the sign ruled by Mars as it takes approximately 84 years to circle the zodiac. Uranus affects us personally in a big way, if it aspects our personal astrology charts, and always changes things globally.

Uranus in Aries has been quite a ride. It entered this sign for a few months in 2010. Then March 11, 2011 as Uranus entered Aries again  hitting the 0 degree or the world point, Japan was struck by an earthquake and tsunami, that threatened to destabilize nuclear reactors.

Spring/Summer 2010 saw a meltdown in the economy of numerous European countries and the BP oil spill was an event that garnered international attention.  We saw travel problems with a huge volcanic ash cloud over Europe, China had an oil spill and we heard news of significant developments in medicine such as AIDs drugs that lower the chance of HIV infection.

Other major world events that  have occurred include a devastating earthquake in Haiti, Arab Spring, scientists trapped anti-matter, speech to speech translation became common in phones, the death of Osama bin Laden, the Diamond jubilee of Queen Elizabeth 11, the Mayan calendar reached its end, the first creation of human embryonic stem cells by cloning, gene therapy, Cannabis legalized in some countries along with gay marriage in US, genome sequencing, the #MeToo movement, Brexit, mass migrations from war zones, mass hackings, internet theft, and the US became more divided politically since the Civil war. Massive flood, fire and hurricane damage, Crimean annexation by Russia, US Presidential accusations of collusion with Russia, and these represent only a few of the changes that have occurred.

Aries rules the first house-the self, and during these years we have seen ourselves and many groups of people fighting for their own self interests around the world.

Uranus in Aries has been about us, and what we want as individuals and groups of individuals. Uranus in Taurus is ruled by Venus, one of the financial planets that rules the second house of money, and it also concerns values.

Global finances will be affected, along with earth changes and impending climate change. Mars is considered at its fall, or debilitated in Taurus. In other words, it does not operate smoothly and is not very happy here. Unlike Uranus in Aries, while in Taurus change will be resisted.
When Uranus reaches the 29th degree of Aries it is considered the Anaretic degree.

The 29th degree is obviously the last degree before Uranus enters Taurus. There can be a feeling of urgency, such as we only have so much time left to accomplish or must have something. It's like the final shopping days before Christmas.

As Uranus bounced between Taurus-Aries in 2018, and Aries to Taurus early 2019, it represents a difficult shift between a focus on the self, versus the external environment.

In a way we are in between two worlds at this time-the end of the era of self, self interests or self empowerment, and on the precipice of a new world where will not be able to ignore the outside environment we must live with and the Earth itself.

This shift from Aries to Taurus last occurred in April of 1935. At that time we were in the Great recession and on the eve of an oncoming World War, where we saw rationing of material goods. The dust bowl in the Western States created severe Earth related challenges.

A planet at the 29th degree is prone to crisis and reversal, predetermined events and breaking molds.

When Uranus was in its last two degrees of Pisces, about to shift into Aries, we saw the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill April 20, 2010. This was considered the largest marine oil spill of modern history, and Pisces rules oceans and salt water.

As Uranus completes its last four month journey in this sign we can expect to see important Mars related situations in our own lives and the world. Mars rules action, war, men, and aggressive tendencies.

We may feel an urgency to complete things began as Uranus entered this sign again, and feel as though we have only so much time left to do it. This will occur both on the individual level and the collective.

If you are a 28-29 degree Aries, Libra, Cancer or Capricorn this will have a powerful affect on your life. Many things are likely to change or end suddenly during this time, and you could feel you are at some sort of crisis or significant turning point.

Major political and geo-political changes will occur as Uranus is a transcendental planet that affects global change and human evolution.

Over the next several years Saturn and Pluto will be in Capricorn, another Earth sign, and we will experience a great shift from Fire to Earth energies or a desire for grounding.

Expect to feel as though you must complete something as Uranus moves through its last four months of Aries, and we will see worldwide changes again.

Asserting the self and individual rights has been the domain of Uranus in Aries. What can be lacking in the desire to assert the rights of the individual, is the illusion we are not dependent on the eternal world for self survival.

Jupiter ends its tour through Scorpio

Jupiter is now traveling through its last three degrees of Scorpio, and moves into the sign of Sagittarius November 8.

Jupiter in Sagittarius will be far different from Scorpio, and rules the ninth house of world view, education and travel. It's planetary ruler is Jupiter, and it will be at home in this sign.

We now have a stellium in Scorpio that includes the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter. As Scorpio is ruled by Mars and Pluto, this is enormously volatile energy in the sky. Mars rules aggression and anger, men, police matters, action and war. Pluto rules bullies, corruption, raw power and extreme change.

Jupiter in Scorpio has worked well for the water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces), as well as Virgo and Capricorn.

Jupiter in Sagittarius will bring positive benefit to the fire signs or those with planets in fire or air.

Enjoy the last days of Jupiter in Scorpio as it will not return to this sign until September 2029.

Rapid buildup to explosive October full moon

The Moon has entered Aries by the time you read this post, and October 22, is the last day the Sun is in the sign of Libra for another year.

By tomorrow, October 23, the Moon squares Pluto and tension will begin to mount as we head into the explosive full moon this week.

October 23, the Sun enters Scorpio and begins its  opposition to Uranus which will shake things up over the next few days.

Sun (and Venus) oppositions to Uranus have to do with sudden and unexpected events, especially involving love and money.

The full Moon of October 24, falls at 1 degree of Taurus and this holds the potential to bring about unexpected situations especially involving love and money. Many people will want to break free of circumstances in their lives, and relationships on the edge may well end during this period. It won't be a dull full moon, especially for those with fixed planets-Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius at 0-3 degrees in their personal charts.

Full Moon in Taurus: Disruptive, unexpected events

The full moon in Taurus falls on October 24, at one degree of the sign. It conjuncts Uranus and this will be a heck of a Moon.

Uranus transits are known to upset the status quo: in other words, while Taurus is generally associated with stability, this Moon will be anything but, (I hate to say).

If you like constant change, upheaval and not knowing what comes next, this moon is for you. If you are looking to make a sudden break from something, now is your time.

The day before, October 23, The Sun enters Scorpio and opposes Uranus and this will be the start of this energy.

The Moon opposes Venus (at its detriment in Scorpio and retrograde) as well. We can expect sudden changes in some relationships between this moon and October 31, as Venus will oppose Uranus exact October 30-31.

Restlessness, changeability,  and nervous energy is to be expected.
The unexpected can happen on a moon like this, and it can come from the most unlikely quarter. Sometimes the unexpected can be good, but I look for it to be disruptive, including on an emotional level for many.

The bigger picture is the second and eighth houses, which is where this Moon falls. Taurus rules the second house of money and possessions and Scorpio rules the eighth house of other people's money.

This means we could see financial disruption in our lives, or on a bigger scale on the world stage. We could see fortunes lost, or fortunes made at this time.

Uranus rules earthquakes, explosions, airplane crashes, weather related incidents, coups, sudden change, and it can indicate violent and unexpected events in the populous.

We are basically looking at about a three day period, October 22-24, for the Moon to play out.

If you have fixed planets in your chart-Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius at 0-3 degrees look to be affected more so than others.

Mercury squares Mars: watch your communication!

Mercury squares Mars and Saturn over the next few days and we can expect irritation and the potential of arguments of all types, including written communication. We may have to work harder to maintain harmony in communication, travel, thinking and interaction with others.

The square from Mars to Mercury is exact in mid-day October 19, but the closer we get, the more the energy builds.

When the planet of communication clashes with Mars we can expect frustration, back biting, sarcastic speech, difficulties in communication, irritation over work problems, transportation and travel problems, issues with children or young people, verbal attacks, and in some cases issues with relatives, neighbors and immediate family members. Diplomacy is needed.

In some instances infectious diseases could be spread such as colds and flus.  At its best there could be a great burst of mental energy on the positive side.

Mercury rules travel, communication of all types, children and young people. This is not a good day to present important ideas. As always we will see this energy play out in the world with a great many angry people and the potential of accidents or volatility.

Avoiding trainwrecks is good

The Moon and Mercury have entered Scorpio, and Venus is stationary retrograde in Scorpio at 10 degrees as well. This will create a clash today between Mars/Venus and the Moon.

This will make many people feel uncomfortable at some point. It could be issues with money, relationships, or some other situation, depending on where this hits your personal chart.

Today is a good day to remain calm, rather than acting on this potentially volatile energy. To avoid conflict, I would advise giving space to those who seem to be on the verge of agitation, and today is not the day to push ultimatums.

In addition, the Moon and Mercury are opposing Uranus in Taurus. This can bring sudden and unexpected news and events, and cautions should be used in travel. We will see some adverse weather conditions play out in the world as well.

While the Mars-Venus energy will not end overnight, as the Moon moves past Mars tomorrow, things should be calmer.

New Moon in Libra: A potpourri of emotions

Today's new moon in Libra is typically a pleasant moon, but I say typically, because it will square Pluto, before it is over and this can bring up some deep seated issues. Pluto rules the dark and hidden undercurrent.

This week may not be the calmest as Mars is still in a square, or clash with retrograde Venus. Issues relating to relationships and/or money can come up at this time, and we will see some type of scandal in the world, if not more.

This square will not peak until late Wednesday, and this does not mean the energy is completely gone.

On the same day, Mercury opposes Uranus and this can create nervous, tense energy and bring unexpected events. In the collective this could represent another extreme weather related situation.

By Friday, the Sun squares Pluto at 18 degrees of Libra/Capricorn and this is a difficult transit, that can bring hidden issues to the surface, things into the open, and power struggles. Libra does not do well with this sort of thing. This transit will play out in the world as well, as situations being revealed and potential abuses of power.

Those with Cardinal planets (Cancer, Libra, Aries and Capricorn) at 17-19 degrees will be affected to a greater degree.
