Full Moon in Virgo: to hold or to fold

Many are experiencing some sense of loss, confusion, or feelings of unclarity as the stellium of planets in Pisces aspects Neptune, then Mars.

Mercury squares Mars along with Venus as we move through the first part of the last week of February. Venus peaked in its square to Mars February 23-26, and is still within an orb of influence. This transit can cause sparks to  fly one way or another in relationships. This can also affect any social relationship or money.
For some this has been a time of stress and friction, and yet for others this energy has been used to liven up the social or romantic life.
Mercury is square Mars, and the transit is exact February 26, but its influence will be felt before and after.
Mercury-Mars transits can be a time of high mental energy, communication and friction, anger or upset. Heated arguments can occur, impulsive decisions can be made, disagreements, irritation or upset can be common and some may lash out at others. You should use caution with driving and transportation at this time as it is accident prone. If you are feeling angry or frustrated it is best to let this energy pass before striking out at something or someone you may later regret. Then again, some may be relieved to finally speak their mind.
All of this is setting the stage for the full moon in Virgo that occurs March 1.
Virgo rules the 6th house of health and work, and it is here many of us will be focused at this time.
A Virgo full Moon can be discerning, but the other side of this is criticism. We could face self-criticism, or feel critical of others.
While Virgo is typically a sign connected with groundedness and clarity the opposite may hold true this time as this Moon opposes Neptune, and this may prove to be a challenging time for many.
Moon-Neptune transits tend to increase the subconscious drives that are already there. As Neptune is the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion, clarity will not be easy to come by. We can experience withdrawal of ourselves or others, hypersensitivity, confusion and indecisiveness, impractical ideas, deception or self deception or overindulgence in alcohol or substances if that tendency exists already.
The other side of this transit can be creativity, psychic awareness, spiritual awakenings and compassion for others.
By March 4, the Sun will conjunct Neptune at 13 degrees of Pisces. Many events connected to the full moon will play out at or around this time. This can be a time of creativity, spirituality and compassion, or it can be a time fraught with confusion, sadness and lack of clarity or even betrayal. Or it can be a combination of both.
If you experienced issues when Mercury conjuncted Neptune February 25, or when Mars was square Neptune you could see a replay of these or similar issues at this time.
As Pisces rules the 12th house some situations may relate to endings in some way or secret information can be revealed at this time.
Either way, the powerful stellium ( 4 planets in the same sign=Pisces) will end soon as Mercury and Venus enter Aries in about 10 days and we begin the journey toward spring and the astrological New year!

Venus squars Mars: friction!

Venus is building toward its square to Mars which becomes exact February 25-26. The energy of this transit will be felt before and after it is exact.
Venus and Mars pit the male and female planets against each other, but it can involve friction in other areas as well.
Typically we think of Venus transits involving relationships between men and women, but Venus also rules values, our social lives and money. It is in these realms the conflict will lie.
There can be a tendency to act in aggressive ways and without allowing for mutual consideration. Some involved in relationships may become jealous or overly demanding.
On February 25, Mercury is also conjunct Neptune. Illusion, confusion and delusion are themes with a transit like this, and clarity will be a much needed commodity. Venus was conjunct Neptune February 21.
Act on impulse and you may well come to realize your information was incorrect.
Mercury-Neptune can be psychic and perceptive, but in some cases it creates paranoia and misleading or depressive thinking or communication. It can also represent lies and deception.
Mars-Venus transits can create an interest in the opposite sex and there will be a great deal of interaction on this day. At its best if aggression doesn't enter the picture it could be a day of fun and excitement. This transit can go either way.
This energy will play out in the world, and more scandals would not be surprising. Mercury-Neptune transits, especially in Pisces place a focus on those who are repressed and downtrodden. Expect major news.

Can you see a gossip in astrology?

It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool, than to talk and remove all doubt of it - Maurice Switzer

Can you see someone who would be considered a true gossip in astrology? Absolutely.

Mercury rules our communication, so this is the first thing to look at.  Jupiter expands whatever it touches, so Jupiter is typically part of the equation, especially in a square or opposition with Jupiter.

And if Mercury is retrograde this could add to the tendency as well as retrograde planets can misbehave.

Add Neptune to the mix and the stories could get more distorted and bizarre each time they are told. Add Pluto and they could get more intense with a touch of revenge added.

The signs the planets are in make a difference as well.  For example planets in Cancer could make the gossip more emotional. Sagittarius could make the stories bigger and wilder.

Of course we are all born with a brain and get to choose when we open our mouths. This is where free will enters the picture. And some people were raised to believe gossip is wrong. Conditioning factors can influence the equasion as well. So these people don't have to gossip even if they have this tendency. But, the conditioning not to gossip would show in the chart as well.

All human idiosyncrasies show up in the natal chart.

Transcendental love or bad dream?

The Sun, Mercury and Venus are all in Pisces now along with Neptune. This means all of these fast moving planets will conjunct Neptune, and square Mars in Sagittarius. Our sense of clarity may be challenged and it will be important to pay attention.  As these planets conjunct or square each other major events can occur in the world and in our personal lives, in some cases.

Neptune is the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion. Be careful about falling into the trap of thinking something (or someone) is perfect, and also be careful about forming opinions, good or bad at this time, as it can be hard to see reality. Neptune transit can seem tiring or discouraging and sometimes situations are revealed for what they are. It can bring out addictive tendencies in those who suffer from this anyway.

Neptune can seem dreamy, and is associated with dreams. It can mean unconditional love, but this is rare. It can also make things seem ideal, which must stand the test of time, however. Neptune rules religion, spirituality and creativity, compassion  and the imagination. Keep your focus in these realms and you might find a way to soar.

Squares to Mars are associated with conflict. Mars in Sagittarius is ready to act in bold and impulsive ways and stretch the normal boundaries. Mars in any sign can bring aggravation, accidents and stress.

Here is a rundown of these aspects. You might want to keep this information as there are quite a few.
February 21, Venus conjuncts Neptune. Venus is the planet of love and money and this conjunction can create a lot of confusion in relationships, especially. Some people may project a false image.

Money can be affected, and this could be a transit of theft. This could be credit theft, having belongings stolen or any other kind of theft. You can find your resources evaporating if you are not aware.

February 25, Venus squares Mars. This places the male-female planets in conflict, and it create a period of tension. It can create or increase an interest in the opposite sex, but there is a tendency to act in aggressive ways, and jealousy can occur. It's important to find mutual understanding at this time.

Also on February 25, Mercury conjuncts Neptune, amping up the Neptunian energy. This transit can lead to melancholy and confusion and all things may not be as they appear. Misinformation can be the result either through direct conversation with someone else or our own thinking. Do not make important or irrevocable decisions at this time-let the Neptunian fog pass.

February 28, Mercury squares Mars. Arguments will abound under this transit. This can be a combative day in the world and compromises may be hard to come by. People will be compelled and driven to express their viewpoints and they may be critical and abrupt. This is the perfect transit for an accident so be careful while driving or undertaking other activities. There will be a lot of mental activity and communication. It can go well if you don't let aggression and agitation rule the day.

March 3, the Sun conjuncts Neptune. The Sun rules men and our egos to name a few. This can be a day of melancholy and misguided or misdirected information, or it can be a day where you may feel you have touched the sublime presence. Double check all information you receive and remember that Neptune is prone to distort facts.
On the other hand, you can reach the heights of creativity, spiritual pursuits and compassion can be given and received.

These will be significant days in the world. Neptune is associated with scandals, lies and deception. Issues related to water, gasses or contaminants could play out. We could also hear of issues relating to theft and/or propaganda meant to mislead.

An eclipse, then a stellium in Pisces

The solar eclipse falls at 27 degrees of Aquarius, the sign ruling the 11th house of the collective. This eclipse is the in the opposite sign of the Great American eclipse that occurred in August 2017, and themes that began at that time, may re-occur in your life now.

Aquarius is surprising, brings unexpected events and can be about detachment, as it is ruled by Uranus (and Saturn). Under an Aquarius moon people may act in unexpected ways, and some may even wish to disconnect for a while, as this is the nature of Uranus=freedom is the theme. The wise individual will give their partner all the space they need, knowing this.

As the Moon leaves Aquarius it enters Pisces Thursday night, joining the Moon and Venus. By Saturday, February 17, Mercury enters Pisces and on February 18, the Sun enters Pisces. This makes four planets, and asteroid Chiron all in the sign ruling the 12th house, (Pisces) and we are in the Pisces season!

This is a huge planetary-energy shift. First of all, Pisces marks the end of winter, just before spring (Aries). Pisces is ruled by Jupiter and Neptune and things/situations may seem less clear than while in other signs.

Pisces and Neptune rule creativity, spirituality, psychics, dreams, visions and religion to name a few. The sign of Pisces is two fish swimming in opposite directions, and the other side of Neptune/Pisces is delusion, illusion, lies and unclarity, drugs and the seamy side of life.

It's always interesting that while the planets are in Pisces we always hear something about the Pope or the Vatican. I noticed the other day, a new series about to start airing called Rome.

The Aquarius eclipse peaks at 4:05 EST, today, February 15. Happy eclipsing!

Mars squares Neptune: Intrigues, secrets and scandals

Mars is building in its square to Neptune all week, and becomes exact in the early morning of February 17, making this transit part of the eclipse energies.

Mars square Neptune can be tiring and discouraging. Neptune rules things that are secret and hidden, and as Mars makes contact, things can be revealed that were previously unknown.

We may become aware of inner tensions at this time that can become overwhelming if we allow ourselves to become overly susceptible to this energy.

Neptune is escapist, dreamy, spiritual and creative, and Mars is action oriented. There is a clash between these two energies as Neptune is ego-less and Mars can often rule the ego.

This aspect is susceptible to drugs and alcohol and those tendencies may manifest themselves if they are present in an individual. Drug or food allergies can manifest, and it is sensitive to chemicals of all types.

This transit is prone to uncovering secrets, scandals, and Neptune is the planet of illusion, confusion, delusion and lack of clarity. This includes self delusion as well as being deluded by other people, of just lack of clarity regarding the issues.

This is not the week to take everyone at their word or face value, sign contracts or be involved in serious money transactions. Even at its best, there can be confusion over communication. What is left unsaid can often become the source of the problem.

This transit can lend itself to spirituality and creativity, and this may be the best focus during this transit.

It is important not to allow our minds to be consumed with thoughts that are not grounded in reality.

It is important to keep ourselves grounded in reality at this time, and protect your own mind and thoughts.

Otherwise, in the world, expect scandals to play out, water related weather conditions to be prominent, lies to be uncovered and Mars-Neptune relates to chemicals and chemical weapons.

How astrology can help you find love

Astrology can help you find love in more ways than one:

Timing-Astrology can show you when the optimal time to meet someone new will occur. Opportunities for meeting new romantic partners clearly shows in a chart.

Synastry-Astrology shows the strengths and weaknesses between any two people, and how well you will get along. In other words you can recognize a compatible partner.

Karmic partners-Astrology can show if this is a karmic relationship, that is, one you were destined to meet. Which of course does not guarantee compatibility or longevity, in and of itself.

Your own patterns that may need to change-We all have patterns that can become habit. In other words, we have blind spots, that can keep us from attaining true love.

For example, I have a friend with Saturn square Neptune from her 5th house of love that also involved her Moon. After years of watching her hang on to dead relationships, (being an astrologer I wondered) I asked about her parents. They had been in a marriage for 50 years or more and she finally admitted that her Mother (the Moon in her chart) had been unhappy most of her married life, but hung in there for dear life no matter what.

I told her that I thought this contributed to her early conditioning about marriage and love, and that looking at her chart, I felt she associated love with unhappiness and hanging on no matter what, even in relationships where the man was long gone.

A few days later she admitted I was right. With this knowledge she changed her pattern. If a man didn't call back after a certain period of time she began to Move On with a vengeance. I am happy to say she is now in a reciprocal relationship that is going well.

Is he capable of fidelity? This is an important question to most women and one worthy of looking into. While we all have a brain, some men (and women) are capable of monogamy and some are high risk.

What kind of a partner is he looking for? Heads and hearts sometimes clash, but the chart shows what a man (or woman) is looking for and ultimately what kind of partner they will have.

What will the future look like and when do obstacles occur? This is an important question to prepare for the future. Most people who call would rather know what their chances of success are than to be in the dark.

Astrology clearly shows the future, and knowledge is always power!
These are just a few of the things astrology can answer regarding love.
What does your chart show?

Eclipse in Aquarius: Brave new world

The next eclipse is a solar eclipse that falls at 27 degrees of Aquarius on February 15. The peak of this eclipse is at 4:05 PM, EST. The eclipse will not be visible in the US.

Eclipses are like wildcards, and one of the ways we learn how and what we need to change and evolve. An eclipse can seem good or bad, depending on what it aspects in your personal chart, and often an eclipse is dramatic, or reveals important information if it aspects a significant point in your own chart/life, OR if some other transit is exact in your chart at the same time.  An eclipse often brings news pertaining to life's biggest events. The energy of an eclipse can go for months and in some cases years.
With an eclipse we have both endings and beginnings. A solar eclipse is more like a new beginning, and it is always a new moon. A lunar eclipse can being more news of endings and it is associated with a full moon.
Almost always unexpected information comes to light and at this time something may be eclipsed completely out of your life, or into your life. Eclipses can bring positive or negative events depending on what it aspects in your personal chart.
This eclipse is in Aquarius which rules the 11th house of the collective, friends, groups, as well as hopes and wishes. The collective will come into play and events can occur that pertain to us as a whole, or within your personal collective group or organization.
An eclipse like this one last occurred in February of 1999. If you are old enough to remember what happened then, you may have some idea of what this eclipse may bring you on a personal level.
An Aquarius eclipse is time to reach out and try something new. Aquarius is about trying new and different situations which can attain different results: You may break away from the old in some way.
The planetary rulers of Aquarius are Saturn and Uranus. Uranus is known to bring the unexpected.
Mercury will sextile Uranus, and this transit is mentally stimulating and positive allowing us to think outside the box. It could be a day of innovative thinking to find new and adventurous ways of doing things.
Venus sextiles Saturn, becoming part of the eclipse energy as well and this is positive for re-connecting with others, friendship, money and even love, although it could take on a pragmatic tone-that doesn't mean negative!
But, Mars is square Neptune, and this becomes exact February 16, the next day, which means we will be under the affects of this transit as well.
Mars square Neptune is tiring, discouraging, and Neptune is the planet of illusion, delusion, lack of clarity and even lies.
While things may seem exciting on one hand and opportunities may seem to be present, make sure everything is as it seems before committing on any level, and jump to no conclusions.
Mars-Neptune transits have a way of revealing information you were not previously aware of, so just make sure all is what it appears to be. Letting some time pass if there is something you are unsure of is not a bad idea.
Mars-Neptune also rules water related weather conditions, flooding and mold.
Be especially wary of people making promises, and if it seems too good to be true...(it probably is).
The best and highest use of this energy is creativity, spiritual pursuits of all types, and compassion may be given or received at this time.
While eclipses reveal all sorts of things, some things are within our control and some aren't. My advice is always to go with the most positive energy.
As always this transit will play out in the world and in the collective.
Mars-Neptune transits can be connected with chemical weapons, disease, water related weather conditions, lies and deception and scandals, as well as same sex relationships.
Aquarius is often connected with coups and unexpected change in governments.
In the US, this eclipse falls on the Moon in the US natal chart-the common people, or all of us. You can rest assured will see upheaval in the political world-the new normal in the United States.

Stock Market tanks-what's happening?

Dow Jones was down nearly 1600 points today making this day the biggest single day loss in history.

This drop can clearly be seen us the US natal chart as Saturn in Capricorn opposes Jupiter. The two financial planets are Jupiter and Venus, and I wrote about this strong probability atthe start of the 2018.

Additionally, Uranus has just moved forward by one degree, and it is in a square to Mercury in the 8th house (other people's money) of the US chart.

The market began its fast decline as the Moon opposes Uranus February 5, and this has been associated with market drops in the past.

Saturn opposing Jupiter is never positive for money, finance and this transit will occur several more times this year: late June-early July and early November. Saturn-Venus transits can affect money as well and this will occur late July-August and October.

I look for the markets to have some wild swings this year. I personally believe the market has been artificially inflated for some time, and I believe this year will bring a correction if not several. Many aspects factor into this including Saturn in Capricorn which is more restrictive than expansive.
