The astrology of pilot and murderer Andreas Lubitz

Andreas Lubitz is the German born co-pilot who flew German Wings flight 9525 into the French Alps killing himself and 150 others aboard on March 24, 2015.

Lubitz was born December 18, 1987 in Montabaur Rhineland Palatinate, West Germany, making him 27 years old-his time of birth is unknown.

He was born with a stellium of planets in his first house in Sagittarius,  that include the Sun, Saturn, Mercury and Uranus and this gives him a type of natural arrogance and self assurance.

Mercury-Saturn (22-23 degrees Sagittarius) could give him critical thinking abilities, but could also lend itself toward negative thinking and depression.

Sun-Saturn transits can give a serious and responsible side to the personality but this is a difficult transit and can indicate early conflict with the Father, and puts a major damper on his self confidence.

Sun-Uranus transits indicate a rebel and this is opposed by his natal Chiron at 27 degrees of Gemini. Chiron is the asteroid known as the 'wounded healer,' and in this position can give a sense of something that is crippling. As Chiron is considered the wounded healer it would be imperative that he work through his pain and come out the other side to ever attain any degree of personal satisfaction in life.

The Sun opposing Chiron shows the following traits according to astrologer Liz Greene:
The Sun working against Chiron
Depression
Loss of confidence
Sense of permanent damage
Cynicism
Expectation of failure
Sense of victimization or scapegoating
Desire to victimize or scapegoat others
Projection of inferiority on others
Loss of the will to live

Chiron also squared his North Node at 27 Pisces, which shows our life purpose and lessons. Celeste Teal wrote about nodal aspects to Chiron: "They play the role of the wounded victim, the wounded healer, teacher, initiator, or the one who wounds. There is often some personal wounding that must be embraced, expanding personal consciousness, and using the understanding to help others." "Sometimes the personal wounding experience has a distorted effect in which the hurt and suffering they ultimately bring others far outweighs and good they do. Hitler had this aspect."

Uranus on one side of his Sun would make him desire freedom, spontaneity and a desire to break free and live life on his own terms. Saturn on the other hand, would weigh him down with insecurity which no doubt began in his childhood with his earliest relationships. He was likely crippled by these two extremes in thinking and feeling throughout his life.

Looking at his chart from his Sun,  his Moon is in Scorpio, along with Mars and Pluto, falling in the 12th house. The combination of this second stellium in his twelfth house would be considered very unfortunate, and karmic. This combination would make him an intensely private and secretive individual.

Wild horses could not drag out of him something he did not want to discuss, thus the fact that no one knew of his depressive issues, and he led a secretive personal life.

This shows a life with many struggles and relationship issues with women would be at the top of his issues. Mars-Moon combinations, especially in Scorpio, and in a man's chart, and show a personality that is frequently upset, overly intense, jealous and possessive and might never have a peaceful domestic life.

Add to the picture Pluto and you have a very difficult personality type as well. As a matter of fact this combination can show a 'killer instinct," type of individual, but the opposite side of this instinct is control. These individuals must learn that monsters live within, not on the outside and the key to survival is to control the monsters within. In the 12th house, it is likely he carried rage and anger all of his life and Pluto in Scorpio can be vindictive as well.

His sex life would have been a psychiatrist's notebook within itself.

Mars-Pluto combinations indicate rage, potential violence, vindictiveness, and a person who is continually struggling in life, and can at times have the potential to do violence to themselves or others. (or have it done to them).

This combination  can show a ruthless personality and a desire for control of others. That's not to say however that all of these individuals become violent. Most learn to curb their tendencies and use control and self-mastery.

His relationships with women, and this includes his earliest ones, would have been be volatile, manipulative and difficult at best. There was likely some type of abuse be it emotional, physical or both.

He would have experienced disapproval from his Father, or at least perceived it that way, thus setting the stage for things to come.

I would like to point out however, there are plenty of people walking around with these planets and worse, who don't kill 150 other people, who are looking to him as a figure who will see to their personal welfare. Many people have difficult parental relationships and don't kill the people they are sworn to protect.

2014 was a pivotal year for Lubitz, as Saturn in Scorpio conjuncted his Mars, Pluto and Moon. His relationship problems would have worsened and he would have experienced a great deal of depression and inner rage.

He was reported to have broken up with his girlfriend around the first part of this year. The Uranus-Pluto square fell on his Jupiter around that time, setting off this powerful planetary connection in his chart which was bound to create turmoil and change.

It is ironic that the crash of the plane and the death of 150 plus people would become part of the events of the Uranus-Pluto square of March 2015, and it is reported that he told a former girlfriend that, 'someday he would do something famous to make people remember him." This isn't the first time we have heard these comments from a mass murderer. (or seen these planetary combinations).

I have no doubt that Lubitz experienced mental issues, but I don't see his as being insane.

Had things been different somehow he would have learned to work through the pain, and control his inner urges. He would have learned that his own inner darkness would always be there, but it could be controlled, and he could have helped others. Scorpio planets generally gravitate to the light, or to the darkness. Which such a heavy combination, there is really nothing in between.

Lunar Eclipse in Libra: relationships, unexpected events and ultimate transformation

The full moon/lunar eclipse is at 14 degrees Libra and occurs April 4, at 8:05 A.M., EST. Prepare for several weeks of intense activity as the energy of the eclipse affects us both before and after the actual eclipse.

Libra rules the seventh house of marriage, partnerships of all types, courts and those considered, 'open enemies.' The planetary ruler of Libra is Venus.

For some of us, this eclipse will test the strength and validity of some of our most important relationships and they will become stronger or end. Libra is the sign most concerned with balance and harmony, but balance will be lacking in many respects. The result can be chaos and upheaval or deep seated transformation that changes your course. That which falls away at this time was meant to fall away, and this is perhaps the most important thing to remember about this full moon/eclipse. That which remains is meant to remain and could become stronger if it does.

A lunar eclipse is a time of change, endings and beginnings. The results are not always tied to actions or previous intent, but it brings with it enlightenment about the truth, and at times additional information is revealed. These changes can be drastic and connected with major endings of all types, or more simple, as in the case of a personal epiphany about something of significance that changes our course or gives us added information that becomes important.

This eclipse opposes Uranus, squares Pluto and sets off the Uranus-Pluto square making events that occur large in the world, and our own lives if it aspects your personal planets in your own natal chart.

This eclipse is all about relationships and partnerships of all types.

Relationships, especially romantic ones will be front and center, but any other type of relationship could be affected as well-that could include work, friendships, business associations or any other relationship.

The Moon opposes Uranus and we can expect unexpected events to occur.

Moon-Uranus transits are associated with freedom, and sudden breaks or changes that seem to come out of the blue. Most of the time however, tension has been building for some time, and this is a sudden release in a great burst of disruptive energy that may appear to come out of nowhere. Uranus transits are about freedom, and this is not the time to try and cling on to something that is unstable. Let this be a test, rather, to see if the situation has validity in your life. You cannot hang on to a person who wants to be free. You can however, change your own thinking, thus changing your own life.

The square to Pluto represents power struggles, and deep seated issues around sex, control and other buried personal issues and baggage. Jealousy, revenge, resentment, anger and other highly charged emotions can occur, and at times Pluto can signify the death or ending of a situation. Pluto rules death and regeneration, sex, control, manipulation, guilt and at times violence and obsessiveness. There is nothing light and airy about Pluto. Previously hidden issues can come out during this time and be confronted.

Some relationships will end, but the square to Pluto can at times have a transformational affect, allowing us to work through our issues and some will  have an ah ha moment and a desire to transform the situation into something better and stronger. Or we can suddenly realize something that changes our mind about a situation forever.

Relationships that are healthy may go through this period with little trouble, especially if this eclipse does not aspect your chart in a hard manner, but relationships that are uncommitted, troubled, new, uncertain,  on and off or continually troubled will be more likely to end at this time.

The effects of this eclipse will be powerful for a number of days, and events can occur both before the eclipse, during and the days following.

April 5 the Sun squares Pluto at 16 degrees of Aries-Capricorn setting off the Uranus-Pluto square. Sun-Pluto transits can bring compulsiveness, power struggles, control issues, issues around sex, joint finances and other important issues that can seem to concern life and death. It is best not to get too wrapped up in this energy in a negative way, but rather and search for the truth however difficult it may be to accept and move forward in a positive manner based on the new information.

April 6, the Sun conjuncts Uranus and we, or others can be prone to sudden and unexpected actions. We could hear or experience something unexpected, or be on the receiving end of such actions coming from someone else. We could experience other individuals as erratic, unpredictable and lacking in stability or we could feel this way. Edginess and irritation are common. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

April 7, Mercury squares Pluto and this is a negative transit for travel, and can be argumentative and obsessive. We can find out new information we did not previously know.

April 8, Mercury conjuncts Uranus and this can create mental changeability on the part of yourself or others. Situations can suddenly change or we can get unexpected communication, or make sudden and unanticipated decisions, or these decisions can come from others.

Also on April 8, Jupiter turns stationary direct and this is a significant movement as well. Typically Jupiter rules finance and expansion of all types, but it expands whatever it touches. If it is making a positive aspect it will expand the positive 'events' or energy for events and if it is in a negative chart placement it will do the same.

My advice is to leave for another day major issues in any type of relationships, if possible. If you push someone to far, they may be pushed right out of your life, or you may feel this way yourself. Either way, if this is the case, the Uranus-Pluto square is probably hitting your chart and it is time for change. Change is easiest for those who are able to gracefully accept it, and look forward to a brighter future. When one door closes, it only means another one will soon open. And the next door you walk through might be the best path for you, after all.

If you have been contemplating major changes in your life this is the time to move forward. All events connected to the eclipse and the Uranus-Pluto square are not negative. I have seen marriages, job changes and many transitions being made in people's lives that are long overdue, and have been positive. If you are contemplating change, this could be the time to take the bull by the horns, so to speak and move forward. this energy is conducive to change, and change works best if you are an active participant.

The Eclipse and the world
The theme of this eclipse is relationships and that extends to the relationships we have with others in the world. Courts, laws and those we consider our known enemies will come into focus at this time, and events in the world will be large and concern us all. We could see issues that involve women. Events that occur on this eclipse will be connected to the Uranus-Pluto square. Thus far, these events have concerned on been connected to the NSA, Edward Snowden, hacking and the internet, plane crashes, revolt and revolutions, political upheaval, earth changes and events such as earthquakes, wrecks, such as the S. Korean ferry disaster, political partisanship, and many other changes that will affect the collective.

This is a volatile eclipse, and I expect to see not one events such as the Plane Crash and the murder of 150 innocents in the French Alps.

As the eclipse squares Pluto, this typically relates to violence and those who want to be in control. It goes without saying we are looking at the situation in the Middle East with ISIS and the other terrorist organizations.

Uranus brings unexpected and sudden events that are likely to be explosive. Explosions are likely and Uranus rules aircraft, lightening, new inventions, electricity, electronic media, hacking, the internet and all forms of electronic communications.

Earth related events and catastrophes are also possible.

This eclipse is conjunct the fixed star Algorab at 13 Libra. Algorab has the negative influence of Mars/Saturn and has been described as scavenging, destructive, repulsive, malevolent, lies, greed, injuries and suicide. note-the GermanWings plane that went down over the French Alps was being flown by a suicidal pilot, who killed 150 others alongside himself.

The Astrology King website published the following concerning Algorab, "some young Croatian Astrologers I have chatted with noticed that Algorab was activated during the attacks and assassinations of Croatian War of Independence (1991 to 1995), and also attacks and assassinations on journalists and politicians since that war. They called this star “Kill or be Killed”. Robson says of Corvus that it “sometimes causes its natives to become agitators”. I have looked back at conjunctions to Algorab and there is definitely a link to terrorism."

This eclipse is also conjunct the fixed star Merga, which is associated with Guardians, ministers of state, custodians, treasurers, force behind the scenes, hidden masters, economists, architects, designers. It is considered fortunate and said to have the influence of Mercury and Saturn.

This eclipse falls on the Saturn of the US Chart, along with the Uranus-Pluto square. Saturn represents the legal system, civil service and restraining bodies, police, authority and tradition, law and order. It lies in the tenth house which rules government and we will see issues that will concern these matters.

This eclipse will affect the chart of Vladimir Putin in a significant way, and falls on Mercury, Saturn and Neptune in his twelfth house (situations that are secret and hidden), once again setting off the Uranus-Pluto square and bringing major events to the fore.

Mercury rules communication and young people, and Saturn rules structure. Uranus opposing Saturn shows sudden and unexpected events, and Pluto-Saturn shows stress, plots and dealing with circumstances of a sinister nature.

There can be danger from threats, blackmail, corrosion, financial concerns, struggle against perceived corruption, paranoia and fear of death, danger of death and ultimately damage to reputation around the world in the long run, if not already.

Yemen's chart is aspected as is the natal chart of Saudi Arabia. These are just a few of the national charts and one individual who is being affected by this eclipse. I name charts and individuals these because of their significance in world events as of late.

Lastly, I would like to point out that will this is a volatile eclipse setting off events connected to the great square we have been experiencing for some time. As the moon squares Pluto we have the possibility and in many cases, probability of transformation and change.  For example, with the crash of the GermanWings flight in the French Alps, the organizations that govern aircrafts and flight are going to have to take a deeper look at passenger safety, potentially saving lives in the future. The pilot is reported to be suffering from a mental illness and in the future this subject will be revisited once again in terms of society's responsibility toward taking these diseases more seriously.

Other significant days in the world are the ones mentioned in the first part of this blog, but I will repeat them:
April 5: Sun squares Pluto-power struggles, transformation, issues, bullies, Pluto rules absolute power, violence, transformation.
April 6: The Sun conjuncts Uranus-unexpected events, explosions. Uranus rules the internet, revolutions, weather and earth related events, new inventions, freedom.
April 7, Mercury squares Pluto-this is a transit involving propaganda, the news media, travel can be affected. Mercury rules young people, communications of all types, animals, vehicles and travel, obsession, news coming out into the open.
April 8, Mercury conjuncts Uranus-Mercury and Uranus can related to unexpected news, travel related events, aircraft, sudden news, not favorable for travel, agitation and discontent, changes in plans, explosive situations.
The Uranus-Pluto square is one of the 10 major cycles in human and world development that occurs every 31-50  years or so.

To think about this transit means looking at the big picture as this is a 127 year cycle in the world in its totality. The cycle begins in a conjunction (mid-1960's) and we are experiencing the first square after the 1960's conjunction. For example: the sixties saw the civil rights movement. Now, with this square, police killings of young black men have come to the forefront. So we are being shown the challenges of the 1960's have not yet been solved.

Astrologer Leyla Rael Rudhar divides the 10 major planetary cycles into three classes and stated: "She considers (the Uranus-Pluto cycle)  to sound the low frequency tones of evolutionary epochs, and develop their transformative themes."

March 2015: Change is upon us

As we begin the month of March, Mars and Venus are in the sign of Aries, which is the natural ruler of the 1st house of self. Now is the time to explore new ideas, plans and situations and put  them into place for new beginnings.

The Sun is in Pisces finishing up its tour of the twelfth house, and keeping our focus on matters that can be secret, or are embedded in our subconscious mind but by March 20, the Sun moves into Aries and spring is finally here, and we will be in the Aries season!

With three planets in Aries life will pick up its pace and the astrological New Year will begin anew in a big way.

Uranus is trine Jupiter, early in the month, becoming exact on March 3,  and this can be a positive influence for many things, depending on what it is aspecting in your chart. This can be good  for financial gain, new beginnings, travel, and new opportunities, and this positive influence should last a couple of weeks.

But, this is still the most tumultuous month of the year, and Uranus squares Pluto,  becoming exact for the final time March 16, at 9:50 P.M., EST at 15 degrees of Aries-Capricorn. While this is the last exact hit, the square will return again in January of 2016, aspecting at 16/15 degrees of Aries/Capricorn. After it moves on in 2016, we will finally be free of this tumultuous energy.  This square does not have to be exact for events to occur, and the energy will be prominent through the month and well into April.

The Uranus-Pluto square affects the charts of many people-about half or more of those I speak with, the United States chart, and the charts of many other countries and entities as well. So, we know this aspect will bring societal change in many respects to large masses of people who are going through their own changes. Changes will occur on two levels: change in the world or the collective, and change personally to individuals.

This is the most challenging aspect of the decade, perhaps this generation, and its effects have changed the world since 2011 and will continue to do so throughout early 2016. This square occurred in 1934, and it was conjunct Pluto in the mid-1960's. Both periods of time coincided with major change in society and the world as well as the lives of individuals.

If the Uranus-Pluto square affects your chart, not all events are negative. Uranus generally brings unexpected and shocking situations that are in fact, often the inevitable conclusion of a situation, and Pluto brings change and transformation, often change beyond our personal control. We generally have some idea of what the change is, even if we are not 100 per cent certain.

The outcome of this transit will also depend on what else is in your chart at this time.

If this transit affects you this year, it likely affected you in April 2014, and December 2014. Go back to these dates and try and remember what happened, although it may not be exactly the same. And if you do not have personal planets from 12-18 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer or Capricorn this transit will not personally affect you, but could well affect those you associate with, therefore affecting you, and you will feel the energy in some way.

If this transit aspects your chart my advice is to take the bull by the horns, so to speak. If you are in a job that you hate, make a move and go on a job search. If you are in a bad relationship, start to think about your life after the current relationship and reach out to new possibilities and situations. This way, we retain more control of our own lives and are at least making an effort to take a positive step forward, rather than waiting for the change to be made for us. Change is the most difficult to those who resist it, especially if you know you are in a negative situation that you are trying to hold on to. Many things will end during this period, but new things will begin as well. For many, this time will be a turning point, or a fork in the road in some way. You can depend that this will be an important time where clear thinking and good decision making will be important.

I have seen marriages and divorces, breakups and new relationships begin under this square. Job changes can be a major theme, start ups, or companies can close. This transit affects the first, fourth, tenth and seventh houses of personal development and desires, home and family, partnerships and marriage

Look for events in March to be similar in nature to April and December of 2014, and we may see many of the same types of situations: air crashes, threats of war, potential of terrorist attacks, police shooting and issues regarding race relations, revolutions, cyber attacks,  partisan politics and a very polarized US and for that matter, a polarized world, extreme weather conditions, disasters and in general sense some very angry/hostile individuals. If you want to know more about this square please read my blog-Uranus square Pluto: Rock our world again.

March 4, Venus conjuncts Uranus and opposes Pluto and this sets off the Uranus-Pluto square. Events in the world will be large this day, unsettling, and Venus rules love and money (as well as values). On this day some relationships will end, issues in relationships can crop up that include jealousy, possessiveness and obsessiveness. Venus-Uranus can coincide with major change, a desire for freedom and unexpected events. Venus-Pluto relates to obsessions, sex, and at its worst domestic violence and abuse against women. This is not a day to make a grand stand in a relationship.

March's full moon occurs at 14.50 degrees of Virgo on March 5, at 1:05 P.M., est. The occurs on the heels of the Venus-Uranus-Pluto square amping up the energy of this transit.

Virgo is the natural ruler of the sixth house of work and health and it's here many of us will be focused, and it's worth your attention to watch things here, and be careful about being exposed to something contagious. This could play out in the news as well.

Virgo is considered one of the most critical signs of the zodiac and with a full moon in this sign, there will be a great deal of criticism and discontent to spread around and some of it could come from you if you are not careful. Virgo's planetary ruler is Mercury, and Mercury is concerned with communication of all types, vehicles, children and young people. Virgo is also the sign of the auditor.

March 10, Mars trines Jupiter and this is a positive transit for money, finance and business, dealing with foreign people and socializing. Its effects will be in affect the night before.

March 11, Mars conjuncts Uranus and squares Pluto setting off the Uranus-Pluto square. This will likely be a difficult day for many and events in the world will be significant. This is explosive and combative energy and will affect everyone with a cardinal planet (Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn) at 14-17 degrees. This is a day to avoid confrontation, even if this is not your style. Mars-Uranus relates to sudden and unexpected events, and Mars-Pluto can be rage, anger and ego out  of control. Events in the world will be large, and prone to violence, extreme situations and danger. The US chart will be affected by this over the next few days and it would be best to be aware of your surroundings, both before and after this transit.

March 16, Uranus squares Pluto, exact at 9:50 P.M., est.

March 11, Mercury enters Pisces after a nearly two month stay in the sign Aquarius. While Aquarius was rational, Pisces is not and rules the dreamer. Miscommunication can be common with Mercury in this sign. As this is a creative sign, this will work well for psychics and metaphysicians of all types, as well as creative folks.

March 14, Saturn turns retrograde. Saturn retrograde can slow down activities so new methods can be better developed. This is the time to firm up commitments already made or back out. Saturn rules our structure, and the retrograde period gives us a greater chance to solidify our personal and business structures.

We could see issues relating to the foundation of business. It is best not to start a new company under this retrograde but if you do, make sure the foundation is solid.

Those born under a retrograde Saturn often suffer from insecurity and have difficulty accessing situations correctly at times.

March 16, Mercury squares Saturn and this can be a negative and tiring transit, adding additional stress to the Uranus-Pluto square. Communication can be difficult and you may be uninspired. Travel can be difficult and delays can occur.  For many this will be a stressful day, but it can provide the ability for critical analysis of a situation but better not to act on this day.

March 17, Venus enters Taurus Venus is the most sensual of signs and this will work well for Earth and Water signs especially. Great for Taurus, and you should look and feel better.

March 18, Mercury conjuncts Neptune, exact at 4:49 A.M., so its effects are mainly at night. Many people will have unique and vivid dreams. This is a confusing day, and there can be miscommunications and even lies floating around.

March's New Moon falls on March 20,  and this is a supermoon,  and a solar eclipse  at 29.27 degrees of Pisces. This is the first of four eclipses in 2015.

This will be a very powerful eclipse falling on the heels of the Uranus-Pluto square.  This eclipse falls at the last degree of the sign and this is considered the Anaretic degree, considered critical in astrology and is  crisis oriented. This degree can be associated with a sense of urgency, and poor decisions and vacillation can occur.

Pisces is the ruler of the 12th house of the unconscious mind. It rules dreams, creativity, and spirituality, but Neptune is considered the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion.

The eclipse peaks in Pisces and within minutes moves into the sign Aries, and this will set off the Uranus-Pluto square. Events will be large in the world between now and April 4, when the next eclipse occurs in Libra.

The Sun enters Aries at 6:45 P.M., est, and spring is here.

March 22, Mercury sextiles Pluto. This is a positive transit for getting things done, study, research and communications.

March 24, Venus sextiles Neptune. This is a positive transit for romance, creativity and purchasing beautiful things. Be certain you are clear in communication with yourself and others.

March 25, the Sun trines Saturn A positive transit for accomplishing practical work, and practical matters.

March 27, Venus squares Jupiter. Typically this is positive for your social life, but prone to over-indulgence.

March 30, Venus trines Pluto. Typically, this enhances the feelings, good or bad. Don't let it make you too intense.

March 31, Mars enters Taurus This places both Mars and Venus in the sign ruling the second house of income and possessions. Taurus is associated with the earth and sensuality.  This is a great period for Capricorn's who want to meet someone new, and Earth and Water signs in general. Good luck!
