June astrology: The potent skies

                Image result for flower pics

During June the rare Saturn-Pluto conjunction continues to dominate the skies, and Jupiter will square Neptune for the second time this year creating confusion and uncertainty.
Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter are all retrograde, working beneath the surface motivating us to do the work necessary to accomplish our goals in life.

The Saturn-Pluto conjunction is not easy to understand as Pluto deals with that which is deeply hidden, and Saturn relates to structures, time and limitations. When combined with Pluto,  Saturn becomes very demanding and many things must be transformed during this period. Saturn-Pluto will test things in our lives for resilience just as earthquake will tests a building's structure. A building that is structurally sound is much more likely to withstand the earthquake but a house built of cards will be eliminated. We are being put in a position to defend our positions on many matters that can include work, relationships, financial preparedness, and other areas of our lives. On a larger scale, society itself is being tested, and that which is not working will be eliminated altogether or transformed into something different. By mid-June we will be under a powerful Cardinal square involving Mars in Cancer and the Saturn-Pluto conjunction. This will be powerful and volatile energy that will create upheaval and volatility in the world. As Saturn and Pluto are conjunct this time will give us a powerful preview of what we can expect when these major planets clash in January 2020.

Jupiter is square Neptune all month and become exact June  15-22. During this time we can be easily mislead by others or our own unrealistic expectations. We can be subjected to or participate in situations that become disillusioning  or false. This is a time to keep our feet firmly on the ground. Spiritual inspiration is a strong potential as is creativity and intuition. Saturn is sextile Neptune as well,  giving us the ability to see that which is untrue or false and this combination can help us deal with and turn our inspirations into practical reality.

Love forecast for June
Mars, the planet of action and men is in Cancer, a nurturing and sensitive sign placing our focus on home entertaining more so than going out.

Venus, the planet of love and values is in Taurus through June 8, when it moves into Gemini. Venus rules women and Mars rules men. When Mars is ahead of Venus women chase the men and when Venus is ahead, men chase women, so this month the women chase the men!

Venus in Taurus works well for all Earth and Water signs the first week of June. A new moon is associated with new beginnings and this is a day to set your intentions for the upcoming month.

The Full Moon this month occurs June 17, at 25 degrees of Sagittarius. The peak is in the early morning hours. (EDT)
Sagittarius rules the 9th house of world view, travel and education. Its planetary ruler is Jupiter, the planet of gain and expansion, and Jupiter can expand whatever it touches, good or bad.

Mercury is conjunct Mars in Cancer, and this lends itself to emotional agitation, arguments and accidents. Mars opposes Saturn and Pluto, setting off the Saturn-Pluto conjunction. Mars-Saturn relates to frustration, anger and blockages and Mars-Pluto transits lends itself toward anger and a powerful desire to transform something. We can turn our ideals into realities but not without significant blocks at this time.
Now is not the time to force contentious issues, and it may be hard to keep anger under control.
This will be a significant full moon in terms of the collective You will be strongly affected if you have Cardinal planets (Cancer, Capricorn, Aires and Libra) at 17-22 degrees in your personal chart.

Other significant transits in June
June 4, Mercury enters Cancer and for the next 3 weeks communication/thinking becomes more emotional.

Mercury square Neptune: Distortions of truth and the mind

Mercury is square Neptune this week.  While the energy peaks in the evening of May 29, will be under the influence of the transit all week. You will be affected to a greater degree than others is you have a mutable planet in your personal chart (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) at 16-19 degrees.

This transit can affect your mind in a strange way and you may not see things clearly. Often under this transit our clarity is distorted and reaching factual conclusions may not be easy. It is important to not jump to conclusions one way or another. This can affect relationships through miscommunication and lack of understanding.

This can also be a very low energy if not depressing transit. At times insecurities and nervousness can rise to the top but this is not enough to create these problems if they do not normally exist.

Things can be revealed at this time, and the imagination and daydreaming can be prevalent. Dreams may seem unusually vivid. You may give or receive compassion and your intuition may seem higher than normal.

We will see and hear of water related weather conditions and this transit is prone to hearing lies and distortions of truth at the very least on the world stage.

Full Moon in Scorpio: Intense situations

This month's full moon falls at 27 degrees of Scorpio May 18, and this moon demands substance and depth, good or bad.  The lunar peak occurs at 5: 11 PM, EST. Now is the time to get to the bottom of deeply felt issues and problems. It clashes with Uranus mid-day on Friday which could bring some unexpected developments, and some full moon events may play out at this time.

The energy of this full moon will last for the next 2 weeks until the new moon, and the energy will be dominant a week before this full moon occurs.

Emotions will be stirred up with this Moon and its planetary rulers are Pluto and Mars. Pluto rules the 8th house of sex, other people's money and inheritance, and Mars sign is Aries and rules the first house of self and self interests. Pluto is all about regeneration.

The opposite sign of Scorpio is Taurus and we have a stellium of planets in this sign including Venus which is conjunct Uranus at 3-4 degrees. Taurus is about connecting with the earth, security and staying power. Venus-Uranus can bring a jolt of energy that can change some  things or set you on a different path than expected. You or someone else could do something unexpected.

This Moon highlights the 8th/2ond house axis which relates to money, other people's money, drugs, sex, and change and transformation of all kinds.

It is opposite Sun/Mercury which can mean communication that can lead to disagreements. Sun-Moon is willful.  Mercury in Taurus can be like meeting up with an immovable object so watch your communication. This may not be the time to speak of contumacious issues.

When a full moon occurs the Sun is opposite the moon highlighting opposing forces in your life such as what you want versus what you have. Emotions peak on a full moon and some things can blow up, or be blown out of proportion.

The good news is that Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn as well as Neptune support the Sun/Mercury giving us an opportunity to work through issues that may come up.

The Sun at 26 degrees of Taurus is conjunct fixed star Algol, and the Moon opposes it.  Algol teaches us to stand up for ourselves and fight for the underdog when a injustice occurs.

Algol is associated with violence, beheading, accidents to the head and losing one's head, literally and metaphorically. Look for issues to play out in the world that fit the description of this star, as well as issues concerning women.

The population in the U.S. will be stirred up and this moon squares the Moon(people, especially women) in the U.S. natal chart. Scorpio rules money, and the Venus-Uranus conjunction can bring market fluctuations as well as news pertaining to women.

The Full moon falls in the 12th house of the US chart and in mundane (world) astrology this relates to conditions that mitigate against public welfare, labor disturbances, epidemics, prisons, hospitals, organizations devoted to control of people, secret enemies, spies, crimes and criminals, and actions being taken in secret.

Meghan and Prince Harry have a Royal Baby!

Meghan, the (American) Duchess of Sussex, who is married to Prince Harry (UK), gave birth to a baby boy born May 6, 2019 at 5:26 AM at Windsor. Congratulations and welcome Baby Sussex.

The Baby has been named Archie Harrison Mountbaten-Windsor, and he is now 7th in line to the British throne.

Baby Sussex is a double Taurus

Baby Sussex is a 15 degree Taurus with a Taurus ascendant at 12 degrees, and Uranus in Taurus. With both the Sun and ascendant in the same sign what you see is what you get. Taurus energy is powerful with the Windsors, after all Queen Elizabeth is a Taurus (April 21), Prince Charles has a Taurus Moon as does Prince Harry. Princess Diana had a Taurus Venus, as does Prince William.

Taurus qualities include staying power

Taurus has staying power and is in things for the long haul. Taureans are Earth signs, who typically are imbibed with the patience to see things through. Stubbornness is the other side of Taurus and once a Taurus makes up his (or her) mind about something important little can change it. Taurus is ruled by the Sign Venus, the planet of love and beauty and those born under this sign typically like their luxuries, and fine things but they also typically like to get value for their money.

12th house planets are prominent

Uranus is the planet of unexpected events and disruptions, and with Uranus in this sign he will be part of a new generation born with the planet of unexpected events in this sign. The last time Uranus was in Taurus was the 1930's so baby Sussex is born into a time when they world will once again be grappling with issues of a Taurus nature, notably climate change, food production, and financial matters such as income inequality and other concerns that will occur before Uranus leaves this sign. Uranus falls in his 12th house, along with Mercury, Venus and Neptune and he will be a very private person, possibly reclusive later in life. With these placements he could be a deeply spiritual person, and/or interested in metaphysics, even astrology!

A moon in Gemini

The Moon describes our emotional lives as well as family, and Baby Sussex's Moon is in Gemini at 0 degrees. A moon in Gemini in the first house manifests as curiosity, changeability and a deep need to communicate and exchange ideas. He will have an instinctive talent with words. He will have a quick and adaptable mind and be aware of what is happening around him. Family will be of primary importance. The Moon makes no aspects to other planets and this can manifest as a feeling of disconnection in outer relationships or a feeling that one is not understood by the world. Unaspected planets can function either as strong talents or excessive, over compensatory habits. He may have a need to express caring or nurturing or even educational behavior to connect with the world. His Moon also points to his Mother, who as a former American actress, but is still an outsider in the Royal family. He will be very close to his Mother.

Mercury in Aries

His Mercury falls at 28 degrees of Aries also in his 12th house. He will think fast and act accordingly. He will keep many of his thoughts to himself. Mercury in this placement can indicate an interest in the spirit world or other worldly interests, or even some form of healing. He could spend a lot of time working behind the scenes.

His Venus squares Saturn

His Venus falls at 18 degrees of Aries, also in the 12th house and squares Saturn. Venus square Saturn individuals often have a more difficult time with love than others, but it also deals with responsibilities and obligations. Venus in aspect to Saturn can mean he will place responsibilities over personal happiness when he gets older. Venus also squares his Pluto. Venus-Pluto individuals have very deep feelings, and when they love there is nothing shallow about it. Their feelings can be intense and overly extreme. At times these individuals may wonder if they are really loved for themselves as Pluto can denote suspicion.

The Kingmaker transit

His Mars falls at 23 degrees of Gemini in the 8th house and opposes Jupiter. Mars-Jupiter is known as the 'kingmaker,' transit, and generally falls in the charts of those born into royalty.
Mars in the 8th concerns other people's money, and at times those born with planets here become caretakers of others money. As Mars opposes Jupiter in the 2nd house he will be financially fortunate, but could overspend. He will be strong willed, impulsive and daring much like his Father. He will be daring and tend to overdo things, and have great impulsiveness. He will crave exciting adventures and experiences.

Saturn conjunct Pluto

Saturn and Pluto fall in Baby Sussex's tenth house and they are both retrograde (along with Jupiter) which means the qualities of these planets are expressed inwardly to a greater degree. Pluto in the 10th denotes power and Saturn denotes responsibility. Anyone born with Pluto in the 10th will have a lifelong lesson in using power wisely. The 10th house rules the Father who often has a position of power or a government position. Natives with this placement receive help from powerful people and they are typically accepted by such.

People born with Saturn in the 10th are aware of having big shoes to fill. Their rise is not particularly easy and they can have a heavy sense the world is watching. Those born with Saturn here are typically in a position where they have to care what people think. Saturn conjunct Pluto in Capricorn generates a theme of power and the abuse of power, which he will be confronted with as he ages.

The Saturn/Pluto conjunction is in the chart of anyone born during this time. Pluto rules the collective and this combination is indicative of a group of people who will be affected by and learn from the issues we are dealing with today, as it will remain in their psyche as they age: income inequality, concerns about big business, authoritarian leadership around the world, and other issues that will surface in the next several years. The last group of people born with a Saturn-Pluto conjunction were born in the early 1980's (Libra) and before that 1946-47 (Leo).

Venus squares Saturn/Pluto: Relationships

Venus, the planet of love and values is the star of the show this week. Venus in Aries will square Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn and trine Jupiter. The energy is evident at the time of this post, and this week will be difficult for many.

Venus squares Saturn, and this is exact in the early morning (EST) of May 7, so it's energy is apparent May 6. Venus square Saturn can create feelings of loneliness, feeling unloved, a need to streamline financial issues, and at times it can create a negative focus on relationships. You could be in a position of having to do something for a loved one that requires a sense of duty or obligation. In some cases relationships may end, but it would take more than this transit to bring it about. It is important not to blow negative feelings out of proportion and create a problem where one does not exist.

Venus trines Jupiter about 1 PM, May 9 (EST) and this is positive for our love lives, social lives and money, and the impact of this will be greater the evening before or the night of May 8. Make the most of this upbeat transit because less than an hour later, Venus squares Pluto May 9, as well. The energies will be intermingled.
Venus square Pluto is the most intense of these transits as Pluto deals with obsession, and if left unchecked can lead us down some dark rabbit holes.  Venus-Pluto can deal with many situations including 3 way love triangles,  relationships that are fatally flawed in some way to begin with, a return of past loves or thought processes in this direction, attractions that should not be or are inappropriate in some way, manipulative actions or jealousy. At worst it represents violence against women and we may hear this in the news.

At best this could bring about a change (either way) in a relationship and a look at where you are in your relationship and if it is fitting your needs.

It will be an intense week and as Uranus is conjunct Mercury May 7, there could be unexpected news.

These transits will have a greater affect on those born with Cardinal planets-Aries, Libra, Cancer or Capricorn at 20-24 degrees.
