March 2020: Saturn enters Aquarius

During March, Saturn enters Aquarius for the first time in 30 years and we will get to dip our toes into what life will look like in 2021 when Saturn finally leaves Capricorn for good at the end of the year. Saturn will return to Capricorn in July for another six months but this will be the beginning of some major changes. Saturn in Capricorn along with Pluto have created much stress and pressure in the world, the US, and many of our personal lives this year.
Mercury retrogrades back into the sign Aquarius, turns direct, and then starts over through Pisces again. The Sun enters Aries and Spring as well as the astrological New Year arrive this month.
Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto and Mars are all in Capricorn during March which will be very result oriented. Venus, the planet of love and values will leave Aries and enter Taurus which will be supported by all of the Capricorn energy. Now, let’s break it all down!

Mercury retrograde-A tale of two Mercurys
Mercury has been causing delays, miscommunication frustrations and breakdowns since it turned retrograde on February 17, in Pisces.
Mercury retrograde is not the time to get married, buy high ticket items, have plastic surgery or start new projects. During a Mercury retrograde we should re-do, re-access and look back over what we have accomplished already and make appropriate changes. This is simply part of the natural cycle of life, as maddening as it may seem in a world where all things operate on go 24/7. If you can follow the natural cycle of re-accessing rather than starting new projects, you will fare better in the end. Starting new projects on retrograde Mercury will inevitably end in some kind of change, or it may not even take off. Retrograde Mercury is a wild card!
This retrograde in particular has been confusing as Mercury has been traveling through the sign Pisces. Neptune ruled Pisces is not a good placement for Mercury and it is considered at its fall here. Pisces/Mercury is confusing and at times even discouraging.
On March 4, Mercury retrogrades back into the sign Aquarius. Mercurial energy will change again and our tempo in terms of communication and thinking will pick up. Mercury in Aquarius will be all about new ideas and ways of doing things. Aquarius is a far sighted sign, but it is important to remember the devil can be in the details, which may be lacking.
Mercury turns stationary direct just before midnight March 9th. Energy will start to change at this point, but things may seem even more confusing, or change direction again over the next 5 days. This is the nature of a stationary period which means the planet is either slowing its course to turn retrograde or turning direct.
Mercury turning direct can only be good news and things that have stalled will begin to resume moving forward again in a normal manner.
On March 16, Mercury moves back into the sign Pisces. It got about halfway through this sign when it turned retrograde in February. Mercurial energy shifts again, and conversation and thinking may be somewhat abstract or even confusing for some, but not nearly as confusing while Mercury was retrograde! We can now pick up where we left off in February. Mercury always goes through its ‘shadow period,’ where energy is still getting back to normal and this will last until March 30th. From here all systems are on go!

The Capricorn stellium
Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter and Mars are all in Capricorn this month. This forms what astrologers call a stellium, or a group of 3 or more planets in the same sign. This means we have a lot of Capricorn energy this month. Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter will remain in Capricorn throughout most of 2020, but Mars will change signs and enter Aquarius March 30.
Capricorn is about building things and is typically results oriented. Now is the time to lay down concrete plans for your future or future projects and begin the building process. Capricorn is the natural ruler of the 4th house, or the foundation, and the 4th house also rules the home. This much Capricorn is typically concerned with security and future stability. As spring is upon us now is the time to start your garden, prune your shrubs and enjoy the feel of the earth under your feet.
Capricorn can represent great privation, and at the same time great wealth. Saturn is at home in Capricorn, making it very powerful. For some, this is heavy and burdensome energy, and for others it works better. Capricorn is in sync with those born under earth signs or Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. That said, Capricorn is not having an easy go of things this year with Saturn and Pluto in their own sign. Jupiter however, is also in Capricorn and this should give our friends ruled by Saturn some help and support this year. Taurus and Virgo will fare well with these energies. Scorpio and Pisces should benefit from it as well. With Cancer, Capricorn forms an opposition which means this year is not the easiest for Cancer who will work hard just to keep up with what is considered normal. Aries and Libra receive some stress from Capricorn planets as well this year. All of this will change however before the end of this year.

The planet of love enters Taurus
Venus is considered the planet of love, values and is one of the two financial planets. Venus is at home in Taurus so it will be positioned and work well in this sign, which it enters on March 4th. Venus is leaving the sign Aries (ruled by Mars) where love energy is more assertive. Love and the way we approach love becomes much more laid back and sensual with Taurus. This will work especially well for Taurus, Capricorn and Virgo, along with Cancer.
Taurus rules the 2nd house of money so with Venus in this sign we will be prone to purchase beautiful objects, luxury items or things that make us feel good and get in touch with our senses. Taurus is a rich sign and likes quality over quantity. Enjoy!
If you were born under the sign Taurus this month is the one month out of the year Venus will be in your sign. You should look and feel your best, or be working toward this, so make the most of it!
Mars in Capricorn is a good match for Venus in Taurus. Earth signs especially should benefit in love or their social lives from this combination during March.
March 8thand 9th Venus joins Uranus and we can get a burst of excitement or try something new. These are days to change your normal routine and try something you haven’t done before. It may not last long, but could be worth remembering.

March’s full moon in Virgo
Many things happen on a full moon and this one is no exception This month’s lunar peak falls at 19 degrees of Virgo and this is considered a Supermoon.
A Supermoon appears closer and brighter to the earth and is associated with heightened intensity, as well as seismic activity and extreme weather changes.
This moon is in Virgo, an earth sign and it opposes Neptune. Virgo can give us a desire to dig into the details of any matter that may arise. Virgo has to do with health as well as healing, so for some health as well as diet and exercise may be on the front burner. On the other hand, we could be dealing with fear, or fearful issues that may not be as negative as they seem with the moon’s opposition to Neptune. With a transit like this, it may be hard to get or achieve clear information and you may have to wait a few days for clarity. Dreams could be vivid, and now is a time when compassion, given or received could become important in our lives and the world.
Sensitivities of all types are heightened with the opposition to Neptune and if you have food or other allergies you need to pay attention. This also includes emotional sensitivities so if you choose to relive an unhappy experience from the past in some way, question the value of doing this. You could also over idealize something or someone and the bubble could burst. Neptune can take you to the greatest highs or the lowest lows. It is important to keep your balance at this time. Sometimes with Neptune, new information can be revealed.
We can expect to hear about scandals, gaslighting and situations that are too unclear. In all likelihood we will hear more news of the Coronavirus and it will probably spread further at this time. We can also expect to see water related weather events.
While the moon opposes Neptune it also trines Mars and Jupiter giving us some positive support at this time. No is the time to choose faith over fear.

The astrological new year (and spring)
March 19, the Sun makes its entrance into Aries at 11:50 PM (EDT) and the new astrological year begins. Aries at 0 degrees is considered the worldpoint, and the start of the Sun’s travels through the entire zodiac which will take exactly one year. This also coincides with the Spring equinox-finally!

March New Moon in Aries
New Moons typically represent new beginnings and the first new moon of the year falls at 4 degrees of Aries, March 24. Aries is ruled by Mars, the planet of action and now is the time to reassess or reaffirm your direction for the New Year. Set your intentions for the rest of the year and make them happen.

Saturn enters Aquarius
March 21, Saturn enters Aquarius at 11:47PM, EDT. This will mark a significant change in our lives and the world for the next 100 or so days.
Saturn in Capricorn has had a powerful affect for the past two years. Capricorn is considered stodgy, conservative and restrictive although it is also associated with banks and big business. Many have felt restricted, held back and experienced significant change. The current political question of income inequality is no doubt a result of Saturn (and Pluto) in Capricorn which has been good for the top 1% and big business, but not the collective.
The shift into Aquarius will change up the energies in very significant ways. Aquarius is ruled by both Saturn and Uranus, the planet of unexpected change. Exactly how this change will play out depends on what Saturn aspects in your personal chart. Aquarius is considered the ruler of the 11th house of the collective and it is a far sighted and typically humanitarian sign. Capricorn is a heavy earth sign concerned with security. Aquarius is an air sign associated with advancements, unusual inventions, high minded and humanitarian thinking and shakeups.
As Saturn enters Aquarius it begins its square to Uranus in Taurus. Many things may change suddenly and unexpectedly over the next few months with this powerful transit that will dominate the skies in 2021.
We can look for change in the political world, some of it unexpected. Global issues will become more important as well as global solutions. We, the collective will demand a greater voice in all things that are of importance. We will see great advances with Saturn in Aquarius in medicine, robotics and technology.
Uranus is the planet of rebellions and coups, sudden and unexpected change, explosions and explosive circumstances. Uranus is currently in Taurus which rules money and finance, the earth, farming and the like.
When Saturn changes signs we typically see major world events at this time, and events in our own lives if Saturn aspects something in your personal chart.
Those most affected by Saturn’s change of signs this spring will be the early degree Aquarians, (January 21-23), Taurus (April 20-22), Leo (July 23-26) and Scorpio (October 24-27). If you were born on those dates it may be quite a ride with Sun-Saturn and Sun-Uranus shaking things up. Saturn shows us our limitations, and Uranus shakes us out of our ruts.
March 23, Mars leaves Capricorn to also enter Aquarius, creating a Mars-Pluto conjunction for the next several days. This will affect us all and we will see more world events at this time.
This will especially affect those birthdates listed above or anyone with fixed planets in their personal chart at 1-2 degrees. Saturn-Pluto is an intense aspect prone to anger, hard work and at times power struggles may surface. Obssessiveness is a trait of this transit and you may have to delve deeply into some subject or situation. This is not the day to start a confrontation, as you will likely be the loser. Use the energy of Saturn to find workable solutions and a clear path forward.
Happy March!

Venus squares Saturn-Pluto: Letting go of emotional baggage

Venus is approaching a square to Pluto and Saturn that will be exact on February 28thand March 3rd. We will feel the energies of these transits before they are exact and a few days after.

Venus rules money, women, love, our social lives and personal values. Its square to Pluto will end some relationships, but only if they are tottering on the edge anyway. It could bring up issues in many relationships but it will not end a relationship that is on solid footing. It can be a chance to clear out negative baggage in a relationship if you can steer clear of guilt, blame and manipulation, which this transit often lends itself toward. This may not be the time to bring up contentious issues.

Venus square Pluto tends to bring up deep seated issues, especially in relationships pertaining to sex, lack of trust, personal insecurities and money. It is obsessive in nature and at times previously unknown information can be revealed. Now is the time to take the high road in all matters pertaining to relationships, love and money, as the dark side if this transit can become very ugly.

Pluto deals with things that are dark and hidden in our own psyche, and if the energy is left unchecked fears, anxieties and compulsions can play out at this time. Remember this is just energy and it can be directed to more positive outlets.

At times like this we could hear from those connected with our past, or re-live traumatic events, breakups and other negative aspects of past relationships. Now is the time to make an effort to clear these thoughts and issues and it can be a chance to let go of negative emotional baggage for good.

This transit can be indicative of domestic violence as a worst case scenario.  Date rape, abuse and obsessive jealousy describes this transit at its worst.

Venus squares Saturn in Capricorn March 3, at 28 degrees of Aries. Venus-Saturn transits relate to issues and potential endings in relationships, money or other social relationships.

If you have been looking at a troubled relationship through rose colored glasses, they will likely come off at this time. Saturn is the planet of reality and it will clash with the planet of love.

Venus square Saturn can make us feel lonely, rejected or isolated. Sometimes this coincides with unpleasant circumstances we would prefer to avoid but can't, such as a loved one having surgery (or something else). In cases like this we just plug on and know the transit will pass shortly.

This is not a positive transit for financial matters, and it can also affect friendships, social circumstances and other matters depending on where it falls in your personal chart.

This transit will deal with some dark issues in the world. Venus-Pluto is indicative of sex, bullies and violence against women. It is a fitting transit descriptive of Harvey Weinstein’s guilty verdict and we will likely hear more. As Venus rules money, we have seen 2 days and nearly 2,000 points lost at the time of this post in the US Stock market, and there could be more. Expect more scandals, news concerning women, women’s health issues and finance. It is likely we will hear of more deaths connected to the Coronavirus.

Jupiter sextiles Neptune: Blinded by the light

Jupiter sextiles Neptune at 17 degrees of Pisces-Capricorn, and the transit is exact or at its peak February 20.
This is creative, pleasant energy that can be directed toward any type of venture but especially those involving creativity, spirituality and compassion. You could feel more in tune with yourself or even intuitive at this time and dreams could be vivid. You could feel inspired to follow a dream or pursue a cause. There is a compassionate and spiritual nature to this energy and things may seem to flow easily.
The down side of this energy believing in things that are not true, laziness, self deception or believing everything you hear. The propaganda campaigns that are rampant at this time may get a boost from this energy and convince people of things that are simply made up for political or divisive purposes. This will not be helped by Mercury’s retrograde in Pisces.
Pisces-Neptune rule contagious diseases and we will continue to see the spread of the corona virus, and this will be exacerbated with Mercury retrograde in Pisces as well.
We could also see water related weather conditions.
Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in solid Capricorn can help us keep our footing at this time. Mars is exalted in the sign Capricorn which gives added importance and making it very powerful.
Regardless of how you feel, very little will be clear at this time with Mercury’s retrograde in Pisces. Use this energy for re-doing, planning and re-accessing, not starting anything new, as true clarity is not there, especially with Mercury conjunct Neptune. Clarity will come, but this is about 3 weeks down the road when Mercury turns direct.

Lucky George, the Founding Father you never knew

George Washington, the first US President, leader of the American revolution and US Founding Father,  was born February 22, 1732, 10 a.m., Wakefield, Va, to Augustine and Mary Ball Washington.
Washington was actually born 20 years prior to the 1752 introduction of the Gregorian Calendar When the Julian Calendar was "corrected" to the Gregorian Calendar, February 11th became February 22nd.
His birth was somewhat unusual in that it almost never took place. According to Ripley's Believe it or Not TV series, shortly before Mary's pregnancy was known, she suffered from a sickness that was so intense it put her into a coma and she was buried while still alive. Just before her coffin was lowered into the ground Augustine heard sounds coming from the coffin and upon opening it discovered Mary had regained consciousness. Her pregnancy was discovered soon after, and George Washington was born the next year.
All his life George had a fear of being buried alive, which occurred often during his time. Just before his death he said to his secretary, ""I am just going. Have me decently buried; and don't let my body be put into the vault in less than three days after I am dead. Tis well"
George Washington was a three degree Pisces Sun with a 18 degree Taurus ascendant. Taurus rules the earth and both before and after his Presidency he was a planter, plantation owner, and in early life land surveyor. Pisces is the most sensitive of signs and often associated with those who have psychic qualities.
The Moon shows the wife, emotional life and the Mother in a man's chart, and Washington's moon lies at 16 degrees of Capricorn. Pluto square the moon can indicate a controlling or possessive female presence. Moon in Capricorn is cool emotionally and generally loyal once committed to a stand or cause.
Washington was reputed to have had a cool and distant relationship with his mother as an adult. During the Revolutionary War and her son's presidency, (Mary Ball Washington) is alleged to have never stated a word of praise about her son and was reputed to have  been a Tory. Late during the Revolutionary War, Mary Washington petitioned the Virginia legislature for financial relief, pleading poverty—and, by implication, neglect by her son. Washington, who was shown to have been very generous to his mother, was indignant over these claims.
Washington was born with a grand trine, considered the luckiest of formations, and a mystic rectangle pattern in his chart.
A Grand trine is a 3 sided triangle that encompasses three planets and is considered very lucky. The areas of life affected in the chart by the grand trine are said to operate with ease.
Grand trines must be worked to achieve success at and show an inborn talent capable of success utilizing the planets and their placements, and George made the most of it. His grand trine makes aspects to his first house (self), tenth house of career and reputation and sixth house of work.
His Grand trine in Air is considered highly intuitive, and involves Mercury and Jupiter, very positive for successful in business and communications. It also involves his Neptune in Gemini giving it an intuitive and quick edge. Jupiter in Libra gives him luck and was a contributing factor to his happy and lifelong marriage to Martha at age 27.
Martha Washington was a prominent widow whose husband died unexpectedly, and upon marriage George instantly became an extremely wealthy Va. planter as he inherited use of her wealth. (he already had family money) They were married until death and in one of his letters to Martha years after the marriage, he wrote, "Fort Cumberland, July 20, 1758, We have begun our march to the Ohio. A courier is starting for Williamsburg, and I embrace the opportunity to send a few words to one whose life is now inseparable from mine. Since that happy hour when we made our pledges to each other, my thoughts have been continually going to you as to another Self. That All-powerful Providence may keep us both in safety is the prayer of your faithful and ever affectionate friend, G. Washington."
Uranus and Mars lie in his seventh house of marriage (and enimies) and Uranus opposes Neptune, but is part of a kite pattern that has been described as 'a grand trine with backbone.'
In a kite pattern, all three planets in a grand trine are connected to a fourth planet, one by an opposition and the other two by sextiles. This is a combination of tense and harmonious in which the two planets connected by trines and sextiles provide outlets for the tension of the opposition.
Uranus in his seventh house shows an unusual marriage partner. Uranus is supported by Mercury on one end, and Jupiter on the other, showing a marriage where the pair would enjoy communication and information and Jupiter shows wealth, tolerance and good will, along with luck in a fortunate marriage.
Martha Washington was born June 2, 1731, and has a 17 degree Taurus moon which lies on George's ascendant, showing she would play a prominent role in his life, and they would have a strong emotional connection. Her Venus was at 2 degrees Taurus, sextiling his Sun showing love and compatibility. Theirs was a union meant to be, and Martha actually accompanied him on many of his military campaigns during the revolutionary War.
Mars also lies in his seventh house of marriage and partners at 23 degrees of Scorpio, but it trines his Venus showing a life that would include success, money and a compatible mate.
Mars in Scorpio individuals have little fear of treading into dark places others would avoid. George distinguished himself as a fearless leader in the military early on, and of course was Commander in Chief during the Revolutionary war. Mars in the placement would guarantee many enemies, but its trine to Venus would give him luck to overcome.
Mars in Scorpio individuals are not people to be messed with so to speak, and retaliation  can be swift and pack a punch. He was the perfect individual to lead America to freedom, and his chart speaks volumes about his destiny.
In men, Mars in Scorpio generates a great deal of sexual energy. These men seldom have a problem finding a partner and can come across as magnetic. They are usually passionate and sensitive, and generally love sex. In spite of the generic pictures we are accustomed to seeing of Washington in his later years, in his youth it is more likely George Washington was a 'hunk,' and his courtship and marriage to Martha very passionate.
The other prominent pattern in Washington's  chart is a mystic rectangle. Astrologer Dane Rudhyar calls the mystic rectangle, the “Harmonic” Rectangle and wrote, “One of the most practically constructive and spiritually harmonious possibilities of any rectangle is indicated when the 2 oppositions are linked by sextiles and trines.” Where fully active, this ‘Harmonic Rectangle’ points to the potential development of a character strongly organized in an attempt to take an important step in personal growth and/or spiritual development. The configuration tends to bring the polarized elements symbolized by the oppositions into a unity, because a strong sense of organization (sextile) and a cohesive, purposeful vision (Trine) are potential in the personality. Whatever tensions arise in the life or personality that are symbolized in the opposing planets (or opposition) don’t necessarily ‘go away.’ But, they can be “laid on the altar,” or channeled toward the concrete completion of a significant life-task."
Washington's mid-heaven shows his career, and falls at 29 degrees of Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, and is prominent in his chart.
Aquarius rules his tenth house of career and the ruler of Aquarius is Uranus (along with Saturn) located in his seventh house (marriage and known enemies). His Mercury lies in Aquarius in the tenth giving him a universal viewpoint, and an open mind and is sextile his natal Uranus at 10 degrees Sagittarius, showing an idealistic point of view and brilliance.
Uranus is associated with revolutions and rebellions and is always prominent in individuals who bring change to the world through rebellions, coups and takeovers, which the Revolutionary war was considered at the time.
Uranus opposes his Neptune (14 degrees Gemini, retrograde) showing he would develop many enemies over an idealistic cause-the American revolution.
Washington's other tenth house ruler is Saturn and his Saturn lies at 2 degrees of Aries in his twelfth house also sextile his Mercury, showing us he had deliberate and methodical thinking.
Several Presidents of the United States have been connected to psychic experiences including George Washington. Washington's link to the psychic world is shown in several places in his chart that include his Sun in Pisces, Neptune in his first house, opposing Uranus, and his North Node in his eighth house.
In 1859, an interview with Anthony Sherman who had fought alongside George Washington, appeared in newspapers. Anthony Sherman revealed that during the darkest hour of the Revolutionary War (when George Washington was forced to retreated to Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, in 1777), was when the vision occurred.
George Washington told in Anthony Sherman that a mysterious woman suddenly appeared in his personal tent. When challenged, the woman only stared at Washington and her stare seem to freeze him in place. The woman said ‘Son of the Republic, look and learn’ and began revealing the future of a new nation, the United States, and the challenges it would face. In brief, Washington was shown that the United States would eventually extend from the Atlantic ocean to the Pacific ocean. And, that the United States would become heavily populated with ‘villages and towns and cities springing up one after another until the whole land from the Atlantic to the Pacific was dotted with them’.
It was also revealed to Washington that the U.S. would face 3 significant challenges. Based on the descriptions, one challenge seems to indicate the Civil War, another might be interpreted as World Wars 1 and 2, and the last would seem to indicate some sort of invasion of the United States where the citizens nearly lose the fight if not for divine intervention. When the visions concluded Washington told Anthony Sherman, ‘… I started from my seat, and felt that I had seen a vision wherein had been shown me the birth, progress, and destiny of the United States.’
After his vision he found the will to hold his fighting force together. The French joined the Americans as allies, and the Spanish and Dutch had begun their own assault on England’s interested.
On a final note, compassion is shown in Washington's chart through his water planets and Neptune in the first house. While slavery was taken for granted during his day, he had grave reservations about it, especially as he grew older. In his will he ordered his slaves freed upon his death. Martha's slaves were considered property of her estate left to her by her first husband, and passed on to her children so by law he was forbidden to disperse of any 'property' belonging to her estate.
George had no children of his own but became step father and protector of Martha's children however, and by all accounts led a happy family life.
It is to this great man America owes its greatness, and his future as well as the 'experiment' called America is reflected in his chart.

The Mystical life of Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln, The Great Emancipator was born February 12, 1809, 6:54 a.m., in Hodgenville, KY. Ironically, he was born less than 100 miles from the birthplace of Jefferson Davis, perhaps his greatest adversary in life, the first and only President of the Confederate States of America.

While Lincoln's chart shows a man of high ideals with a spiritual bent, Davis' chart shows a man with very definite ideas, often fraught with misconceptions, unrealistic viewpoints and confused actions.  His view of slaves, or servants (6th house) shows strongly in his chart as an ideal he went to war with the US government over (and is similar to that of present day Edward Snowden). His chart however, is not without compassion and greatness and like Lincoln, he was said to have worked to avoid civil war and secession before the fact.
Lincoln is a 23 degree Aquarius Sun with a 22 degree Aquarius ascendant, the sign associated with a 'world view,' and people in general. Aquarius is a fixed air sign, that is often found in the natal charts of politicians.
Lincoln's moon is 27 degrees of Capricorn in the 12th house square Mars at 25 degrees of Libra in his 8th house. This configuration describes the loss of his Mother at age 9 to milk sickness:,she drank milk from a cow that had grazed on poisonous white snakeroot and the subsequent grief he suffered at her loss. It was said he never got over her death and was often quoted as saying, ' all that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to her.' Lincoln helped his Father make her coffin.
The moon also describes the wife in a man's chart, and as it squares Mars, this would represent friction in his domestic setting and upsets in his tempestuous relationship with Mary Todd Lincoln (who suffered from depression) which is well documented.
The 12th house is considered the house of the subconscious mind (and institutions), and those with planets placed here generally need a certain amount of solitude and reflection. It is the 12th house where our shadows play out, often fraught with pain and secrets we do not reveal to the public. Lincoln called himself the 'loneliest man in the world.' With a debilitated moon in Capricorn he would have sought to control his emotions, resulting in his often perceived somber appearance. Underneath, this would lend itself to much inner turmoil, many upsets and sorrows in life, and  secret passions, good or bad that he kept private.
Moon-Mars individuals lead lives fraught with upsets and  and this transit is far from lucky or conducive to harmony or personal happiness. Melancholy was a part of Lincoln's life and he suffered traumas and losses that began with his Mother, included siblings and eventually several of his own children. Death was a big part of his life before and during the Civil War.
The 12th house is considered the house of karma, and his Moon square Mars in the eighth house of death would point to a violent ending in a position as exposed and public as his.
The 12th house shows danger, clandestine affairs, and secret enemies while the 8th house has a Scorpio connotation and shows death.(the 8th house is also considered the house of transformation)
Mars (along with intercepted Uranus in Scorpio) in the 8th shows us an individual whose goal was to reform, or transform his surroundings and world. Mars  Libra tells us he was a people pleaser and someone who would prefer to avoid confrontations. His personal motivation toward conflict was expressed in the  Libran statement "Am I not destroying enemies when I make friends of them."  He was known as a story teller who often drew a crowd during nights when we was traveling as a circuit lawyer.
Four US Presidents have been assassinated in office beginning with Lincoln. Each of them had adverse configurations from their 8th house that include Mars the ruler of guns, and Uranus the planet signifying explosive situations and explosions, chaos and upheaval.
James Garfield and William McKinley both had Uranus in the 8th house square Mars, and JFK had a stellium of planets in his 8th house including Mars, Mercury and Jupiter, all square Uranus in the 4th house, that shows end of life conditions.
In our time Ronald Regan survived a assassins attempt, but he had no planets in his 8th house, nor did he have a Mars-Uranus aspect in his natal chart.
Lincoln's Neptune-Saturn conjunction  lies at the top of his chart next to his Sagittarius  midheaven at 6-3 degrees of Sagittarius in the ninth house, which is the realm of ideas, religion philosophies and worldviews. The midheaven describes your reputation, what you are known for in the world and career.
Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion, laws, government, big ideas, justice and fairness and this configuration shows us the driving force, and basic outlook or world view that drove his dreams and hopes of freeing the slaves, as it was just, and fair. There is a spiritual connotation to this transit that shows deeply held views and the belief his ideas can become practical reality.
Other well known figures we are familiar with who have this transit include Nelson Mandela (Saturn-Neptune in Leo) and the current Pope (Saturn opposing Neptune Pisces-Aries).
Lincoln's own Jupiter falls in his first house in Pisces, the sign of its dignity, increasing his luck, spirituality and compassion for others. It also makes him intuitive, psychic and an attractive figure who was elected President twice.
Both Neptune and Saturn trine Venus in Aries in his first house, giving him luck, an attractive appeal, and a major planetary boost that would help to achieve his goals, along with luck and brilliance.
Saturn-Neptune represents the law he studied, (Jupiter and Sagittarius rule lawyers, judges and politicians) passing the bar with less than a year of formal schoolroom training all told. He had a brilliant legal mind, and spend most of his life as a practicing attorney and was a 1 term US Representative before becoming President. He held many jobs in life but most dealt with politics and the law, which is exactly what his chart shows him suited for.
With Saturn-Neptune in Sagittarius he knew how to transform dreams and ideas into practical reality based on justice, and this was his life accomplishment as well as the reason for his assassination three months after the passage of the amendment abolishing slavery.
Abraham Lincoln never joined a church, but sometimes attended Protestant services with his wife and children. As a young man he was a skeptic, but after the deaths of his children he became concerned with God's plan for mankind. He was private about his beliefs and respectful of the beliefs of others. Lincoln's friend Jesse Fell stated, that the president "seldom communicated to anyone his views" on religion, and he went on to suggest that those views were not orthodox: "on the innate depravity of man, the character and office of the great head of the Church, the Atonement, the infallibility of the written revelation, the performance of miracles, the nature and design of...future rewards and punishments...and many other subjects, he held opinions utterly at variance with what are usually taught in the church."
While Saturn-Neptune gave him a broad world view, tolerance, and a career in the legal field,  the same transit lent itself toward depression, which he referred to as 'melancholy" in his lifetime. Saturn-Neptune individuals often suffer from depression and anxiety.
Three planets in his chart lie in Pisces, the sign ruling spirituality and 12th house matters showing mystical traits and abilities. Mercury, Pluto and Jupiter formed a stellium of planets at 10, 13 and 22 degrees of Pisces in his first house. Mercury-Pluto gave him an intense mind seeking ideas based in spirituality and compassion of course Jupiter, in Pisces,  in the sign of its rulership making this stellium of planets very powerful in his first house.
Pisces is the most mystical of signs and Lincoln is said to have been able to 'go to the other country, 'in meditation, and had significant dreams before big events in his life occurred. He attended at least one seance in the White House with his wife after his son died, but there are conflicting views as to what happened. One account stated he investigated the medium to discover he was a fraud.
In I would still be drowned in tears, author Michelle L. Hamilton wrote, "A product of their Kentucky childhood, the Lincolns shared a belief in dreams and omens which they incorporated in their Christian faith. The impressions of the spirit were not lost on Lincoln either, whose sensitive nature, eager mind, and depression-ravaged psyche made him tender to-even eager for-invisible realities. During his lifetime he experienced dreams, omens, visions, and revelatory occurrences of nearly every kind and they did not decrease with age."
The most famous of his dreams occurred just before he died. Mercury square Neptune can symbolize an intuitiveness and Neptune rules dreams. In his most famous dream that was recounted to friends days before the end of his life he stated that he heard mourning and crying in the White House. Upon hearing it he asked a soldier what was wrong, to be told the President had been killed by an assassins bullet. A few days later he was dead, killed by John Wilkes Booth, as he sat in the Presidential box and the Ford Theater on the night of April 14, 1865 as the Civil War was winding down, only 5 days after General Lee surrendered the Confederate Army.
April 14, 1865
Lincoln's chart clearly showed an attempt or attempts on his life, and subsequent death, and his chart played out as it was written, as all our charts do.
On the night of the shooting the main planetary influence aspecting his chart  was Saturn conjunct his 8th house (death) Mars at 27 degrees and square his moon in the 12th house(secret enemies), and this shows danger of death for an extended period of time. On April 14 however,  the Sun at 25 degrees Aries began an opposition to his Mars/Saturn in the 8th house square the moon in the 12th forming a powerful T-square- a transit involving 3 planets that would set off this catastrophic event aspect, resulting in death  as it showed in his natal chart.
Neptune was conjunct his Venus (at its detriment) at 7 degrees Aries, showing us a Venusian  pleasure (theater) and Aries is ruled by Mars, while Neptune is the planet of trickery, deception and theater and actors. Mars was at 7 degrees of Cancer square his Venus /Neptune where action would be expressed in an emotional-even patriotic manner, as James Wilkes Booth thought himself doing by killing Lincoln. Furthermore, he believed he would be celebrated as a result.
At 10: 15 PM, the time of the shooting, the moon was at 9 degrees Sagittarius conjunct his midheaven, having just crossed his Saturn-Neptune (ideals) becoming the final planet to set off the T-square between Saturn, Mars, his moon and the Sun and ending his life and aspirations.
The Mystic Rectangle of April 14
Casting a chart for April 14, 1865 at 10:15 p.m., Washington, DC, the planets were forming a rare celestial event called a mystic rectangle that is in the shape of a rectangle (a pattern of 'practical mysticism' according to astrologer Jude Cowell) that would remain until he passed away the next morning.
This unusual configuration is made up of 4 planets consisting of 2 trines and 2 sextile aspects interwoven with opposition angles. Looking at the most important transits in the mystic rectangle on April 14:
-the Sun was opposing Saturn at 27 degrees of Libra in the 11th house ruling the government and head of state.-the original plan was to kidnap or kill the VP and Secretary of State, along with Lincoln, but the plan failed and only Lincoln died.
-Mars was in the 7th house of open enemies (JWB made clear to others his disdain of Lincoln. Lincoln was alleged to have made an earlier attempt to meet JWB, but was refused ) square Neptune in Aries in the 4th. Neptune shows theatre/an actor and deceptive plan, and the 4th house rules the country or the people of the country-home. Mars-Neptune and can represent death, depression, despair and the country was thrown into mourning.
Jupiter opposed Uranus at 29-26 degrees of Sagittarius-Gemini showing a sudden event involving a known enemy in the signs that rule ideas, ideologies and governments. Jupiter stationed to go direct one hour 7 minutes before Lincoln passed away and Jupiter is the significator of the Republican Party.
Mercury and Pluto were conjunct at 12-14 degrees of Taurus in the 5th house of entertainment. Mercury-Pluto in Taurus shows a younger male with a determined intention. The planets in Taurus would signify wealth, attractiveness. JWB had recently made the equivalent of 500,000 a yr in today's money and was considered somewhat famous/attractive/wealthy by the time of the murder, and was a Taurus himself.
The moon at 9 degrees of Sagittarius, in the 12th house shows plots, plans, those who would disrupt society/government.
Venus conjunct Algol at 26 degrees of Taurus Venus was in the 6th house (ruling public servants) at 25.40 degrees of Taurus conjunct Algol, the most malefic fixed star in astrology that lies at 26 Taurus. Algol is associated with be-headings, or 'losing one's head.' The 16th President was shot in the back of the head, the bullet nearly protruding through the temple. He never regained consciousness.

February horoscopes by Sun sign

Aries-Venus enters your sign Aries, on February 7th, and for the rest of the month you should get a real boost as the planet of love and beauty moves through your first house and Sun sign. This only happens once a year, and when Venus is in your sign you come across well to others, feel more confident, and you are at your most attractive to the opposite sex, so make the most of this month.

Saturn has been difficult for many Aries, and if you were born April 15-17, Saturn will square your Sun this month creating obstacles and difficulties and you may have to worker harder to achieve what you want. This will change next month.

If you were born April 12-14, Pluto is squaring your Sun and Pluto brings personal change, ready or not. If you are a woman this can deal with the men in your life. If you are a man, it could signify issues with the Father, or some other male. There could also be changes in your work. Pluto breaks things down to re-build in a better way.
Mercury turns retrograde February 16, in your 12th house of endings, your subconscious mind and things that are secret and hidden. Mercury retrograde is not the time to start new projects or buy high ticket items. Things can be delayed or change courses. If you have to sign something make sure all I’s are dotted and T’s crossed so nothing comes back to bite you on down the road. In other words cover all bases as this is not the best time for signing documents, starting new projects, or getting married. Electronic and other equipment may break down, and meetings can get confused. This is time to re-think and re-do not start new important projects if you can avoid it.

As Mercury retrogrades February 16-March 9th, you could re-live situations from the past in your own mind. This can be disruptive to your thinking and cause confusion or irritation. As the 12th house rules endings some things may end now, or when Mercury turns direct next month. Dreams this month may also be more vivid.

Mars is the planet of action, and while in Sagittarius will inspire you to travel, further your education (it does not have to be formal) and re-thinking your own world view. When it enters Capricorn February 16, Mars moves into your career sector and you will be more focused on work over the next month and a half. Use care, as you could experience some clashes this month especially if you were born March 21-30. Action may seem to drag and slow down as Capricorn is not a natural match for Aries but this doesn’t mean it’s bad, just different from Mars in Sagittarius which is a natural match.
February 9, the full moon falls at 20 degrees of Leo, your 5th house of love, entertainment and fun. Make the most of it as it will be a big dramatic moon and time for a night out. Leo rules the stage, and drama so remember to steer clear of those who want to create personal drama! You could have interaction with children as well. This night could stand out for some time to come.

February 20, Jupiter sextiles Neptune and this energy will be powerful both before and after this date. This is spiritual creative, energy that could be put to work in many ways including acting on long held dreams. You should feel especially creative, and compassionate to others. You could feel intuitive and you will be very perceptive of yourself and others.
February 18, the Sun enters your 12th house, the end of the zodiac, and over the next month you may want to spend time alone, and some things could end or you could finish up some projects. Next month you will start anew as the Sun enters Aries.
The New Moon February 23 also falls in your 12th house stirring up your subconscious mind and bringing up issues up you may have thought finished. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as it can give you a chance to resolve old issues before moving on to next month.

February 28, Venus squares Pluto and this can bring up jealousies and intense interactions from you or someone else. This energy is fleeting but that does not make it any less powerful. Save contentious conversations for another day, and focus your energy on work and you should accomplish a great deal.

Taurus-If you were born on the 22nd or 23rd of April Uranus is conjunct your Sun this month, and things in your life may have become very changeable over the past year. Sun-Uranus transits deal with unexpected change, and making major life changes, sometimes without much notice. After February these changes will be complete and Uranus will never conjunct your Sun again. If you were born in the first few days of Taurus you have experienced these changes and know what I mean and if you were born after these dates mentioned Uranus will conjunct your Sun in the future.

Mercury turns retrograde February 16, in your 11th house of hopes and wishes, friends and groups and you could experience some confusion or slowdowns in these areas until March 10th when Mercury turns direct. Mercury retrograde is not a time to start new projects or buy high ticket items. Things can be delayed or change courses. If you have to sign something make sure all I’s are dotted and T’s crossed so nothing comes back to bite you on down the road. In other words cover all bases as this is not the best time for signing documents, starting new projects, or getting married. Electronic and other equipment may break down. This is a time to re-think and re-do, not start new ventures. If you do start something new it will change at some point in the future. This is simply part of the natural rhythm of things and time to take a step back.

Mars, the planet of action enters Capricorn or your 9th house February 16th and you could plan a trip, increase your education on some level, expand your world views, or be involved in some type of legal activity. This does not mean however, you should be expecting legal matters to arise if you are not already involved in something. Capricorn is a natural match for Taurus and you should flow well with the energy and get a lot done.

Venus the planet of love leaves Pisces, which has been a good match for Taurus. It enters Aries or your 12th house February 7th.  Venus in your 12th house can activate your imagination, but it is not necessarily associated with finding love if you are looking. If you are already in a relationship this should not cause a problem. With any planet transiting your 12th house you may wish to spend some time alone this month. In rare cases Venus in the 12th is associated with secret affairs, or situations that you do not want to see revealed for whatever reason. Next month, Venus will suit you much better as it enters Taurus.

The full moon in Leo should be an active one and falls in your 4th house of home. You could be concerned with the men in your life or start a home projects. Leo is an active and energetic sign, and you may want to entertain in your home. If you go out, it will be a good night as well. A word of warning though-some people can become overly dramatic and sensitive on a Leo moon. People will dress and act in a more dramatic way. If you can avoid the overly emotional downside this should be a night of fun, and maybe even romance.

February 18th, the Sun moves from Aquarius to Pisces and through your 11th house of groups and friends. You may want to spend time with friends or be more associated with groups this month.

February 20th, Jupiter sextiles Neptune and this energy will be at its peak on this day, and very powerful in the days before. This can be beautiful energy and for Taurus it falls in the 9th and 11th houses. This would be a perfect time for a trip, furthering your education in some way or enjoying friends. This is creative and compassionate energy that we will not see again until July. You could chose to study a new spiritual discipline, try a creative venture, help others or any other number of things so make the most of it.

The New Moon on February 23rd falls at 4 degrees of Pisces in your11th house of friends, groups and hopes and wishes. New moons usher in new beginnings and this new moon may seem cosmic. Some things may end, but if they do it is time for something new.

February 28th, you could experience a bump in the road in terms of love, social interaction or money. Venus-Pluto lends itself toward obsessive thinking and jealousy. Be mindful of this energy and you should have a positive day.

Gemini-Venus enters your 11th house of hopes and wishes this month, and this should increase your personal magnetism in terms of attracting friends, dealing well with groups and achieving those things you are striving to accomplish.
If you were born June 7th or 8th, Neptune has been squaring your Sun for the past year and a half. This may have caused confusion and unforeseen situations in work, lethargy and melancholy, changes in relationships, or being forced to remove your rose colored glasses for some reason. If you are a woman you may have suffered disappointment in love or a relationship that was not what you thought. Either way after February, Neptune will move away from your Sun and you will soon have far more clarity on matters for the rest of the year. If you were born before these dates this significant transit has already occurred, and if you were born after these dates it will occur at some point in the future.
Mercury retrogrades this month in your 10th house of career and reputation. This is simply part of the natural rhythm of things and time to take a step back, look at what you have accomplished and re-think or plan for the future in about three weeks. Mercury typically retrogrades about three times a year.
Mars, the planet of action leaves your 7th house of partners February 16. Your 8th house deals with sex, death, other people’s money and taxes. You may do your taxes, re-do wills and other financial documents or change insurance companies during the next month and a half. It is possible you could hear of a death, but unless there is a significant major transit in your chart this is nothing to really fear.
As the 8th house also rules sex, things can take a turn here for the better, or worse, but typically it is for the better.
The 8th house is deep, and it is also considered the house of mysteries, so you may have more of an interest in metaphysical activities, life after death, and subjects like this.
February’s full moon on February 9th falls at 20 degrees of Leo in your 3rd house. This relates to immediate family, neighbors, and co-workers as well as your neighborhood. Something could change in your neighborhood; you could communicate with family or take a short trip. This is a favorable full moon for Gemini, and the overall theme will be communication.

Jupiter and Neptune are in a positive sextile this month which will affect your sector of other people’s money and work. This is creative energy that can produce opportunities for work and money, or it could be an investment of some type. Creativity may come from nowhere or seem to so, pay attention to February 20, and the days before this as you could benefit in some way at this time. You will have another opportunity in July. If nothing else, you will feel compassion toward others, extra creativity, or feel a strong connection with the universe. Make the most of it.
The New Moon on February 23, falls in your 10th house of career. You could make some kind of change in your work or something new may be presented to you. Pisces is a cosmic sign and connects us with the unconscious energies so you could experience some type of déjà vu or have some very intense dreams.

February 28, could bring some type of intense interaction with others, or you could be concerned over a financial matter. Either way the energy will pass quickly.

Cancer-Cancer has not had the easiest time over the past several years with both Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn creating an opposition to Cancer’s Sun.

If you were born July 17-20 Saturn will oppose your Sun t
his month, bring up issues with partners, or those from your past. You could experience relationship or other issues and it may seem difficult to move forward. Your stamina will not be as strong as it generally is so you should watch your health. If you were born before these dates, Saturn has already opposed your Sun, and if you were born after these dates, Saturn will oppose your Sun in March.
If you were born January 17-18th Pluto will oppose your Sun this month. Relationships could change significantly at this time. You may feel ambitious but you should guard against getting into power struggles with others as you might not win. Pick and choose your battles carefully.

Mercury turns retrograde February 16-March March 9, in your 9th house of travel, education, world view and things and people at a distance. Your view of the world could change in some way during this retrograde.

Venus, the planet of love and money transits through your 10th house of career this month giving you an added boost at work. You should communicate and relate well to others this month, so make the most of it. If you are not in a relationship, you could meet someone at work you take an interest in.
This month’s full moon falls on February 9th, in your 2nd house of money and income. You will be focused on money one way or another. You could be presented with another way to make money, or concerned over a financial situation, but this does not mean you will have a significant problem, only that your attention will be here.

This is a full moon for connecting with others and enjoying friends. This could be a positive weekend for enjoying friends, or even meeting new people. Leo is the most dramatic of signs and you may feel a need to express yourself through clothes, glamour or some other way. Just remember that Leo can get overly dramatic and some people may feel very sensitive, but this should not be a problem as Cancer has an ability to sense other’s moods.

Mars, the planet of action, leaves your 6th house of work, and enters your 7th house of partners this month. This will place more of a focus on those we consider partners, both in a personal and professional manner. If you were born June 21-July 8, you could experience conflict with a partner during the latter part of February.  Also guard your health and be careful of accidents the last two weeks of the month.
The Sun enters your 9th house on February 18, and wherever the Sun goes, the spotlight shines. You may be dreaming of a trip, far-a-way places or people in places at a distance. You could consider some new educational activity. As the Sun is in the 12th sign of the zodiac you may finish up certain projects this month or some could come to an end.
Jupiter and Neptune meet up in a powerful sextile this month bringing creative opportunities and opportunities for meeting new partners or working with new people. This is very positive energy for a Cancer, and you could meet or work with someone at a distance, or they could be closer by. This will be a dreamy and intuitive time for Cancer, so be aware of opportunities that could present themselves in a very subtle manner. It could also manifest as spiritual, healing and creative energy. You will have another opportunity to work with this energy in July.

The New Moon on February 23, should appeal to you as Pisces is a natural match for Cancer. If you are planning a trip this month it would probably be close to this date. You should feel in your element at this time as Pisces is typically a cosmic sign that you can relate to. Dreams and intuition should be vivid now.

Guard against jealousies, over thinking and over-reacting on February 28, as the planet of love and money clashes with Pluto. As feeling can become more intense at this time watch how you approach others and if the energy is too intense wait for another time to bring up any deep seated issues. Depending on how you handle the energy things could end badly, or be transformed into a more positive situation but you must use caution in the way you communicate your feelings to others.

Leo-Leo should have a pretty good month, but if you were born July 25-26th, Uranus is square your Sun. If you were born before these dates, you have already experienced this powerful transit and if you were born after these dates it will occur at a later time.

Uranus square Sun can result in many changes over the course of its year and a half transit, and some of them could be unexpected. You could experience any of the following: job change, relationship changes, changes with the men in your life, Father, or other male family members. Uranus shakes things up, especially when we have been too rigid in our thinking.  Now is the time for dramatic change and things seldom go on as they have been. This energy needs to be handled carefully and if you end something, it is important to remember that its time had simply come.
Mercury retrogrades in your 8th house from February 16-through month’s end. In March it will retrograde into your house of partners. Be careful in all money matters this month, and you could change something in terms of insurance, taxes, investments or mortgages. The 8th house also rules sex, partner’s money, and major changes and transformations. Now is the time to take a look at your finances and make sure everything is on track as you think. Now would not really be a great time to send in your taxes, better to wait until Mercury is direct on or after March 9. Mercury retrograde can cause breakdowns, glitches delays and it’s is best not to start new projects or get married.  This is a better time to re-think and re-do. The time for new projects will come in about three weeks.
Venus enters Aries February 7, and will transit through your 9th house of education, travel and world view. Venus is the planet that rules, love, money, beauty and social affairs. You may consider a trip or some type of additional education or you could meet with or have dealings with someone at a distance. Venus in Aries will work well for Leo as it is a Fire sign like you, so.

February’s full moon falls in your sign Leo, on February 9, so this will relate to you and your relationships with others. With the full moon in your own sign the spotlight will be on you, and now is the time to seek the attention of those you are interested in, have a fun night out with your significant other, or friends. This moon makes no negative aspects, so it should be a fortuitous time for you.
Jupiter sextiles Neptune on February 20th and this compassionate, cosmic and creative energy will fall in your house of work and health as well as finances, or other people’s money. Now is the time to get on track with your fitness plan, work or financial matters. This energy is subtle but it should seem obvious that luck is one your side in dealing with these matters. The closer we get to February 20th, the stronger this energy will become. There is also a powerful healing aspect to this so, now I a good time to correct or solve any issues that have arisen between you and anyone else. Make the most of it.

This month Mars leaves your 5th house of love and entertainment to enter your 6th house of health and work on February 16th. You have probably spent more time with friends, lovers and those you enjoy for the past 6 weeks, and now it is time to focus on work, and/or health and fitness or both. When the 6th house is activated it is a positive time to lose weight, start a fitness plan and watch your health. The 6th house also rules pets, as well as work, and you will simply find you must focus more energy in this area for the next month and a half. Mars in Capricorn can seem to drag along, but it will be a very positive time to accomplish a great deal. If you are looking for a job, you could fine one.
The Sun enters Pisces February 18, along with Mercury placing more focus on sex, secrets, financial and tax matters and other people’s money. You may make some changes this month in financial matters, or start to review your tax situation. As Pisces rules the 12th house, some situations or projects may wrap up now or come to an end.

The month’s new moon also falls in Pisces February 23rd, placing even more of a focus on the above mentioned matters. You could experience vivid dreams or psychic connections with others around this time.
February 28, you could experience a situation that causes you to over think something or feelings of jealousy could arise within you or someone else. A problem at work could arise, but if so this will give you a chance to transform it into a more positive situation. Be aware other people may be on edge as well, and channel your energy accordingly.

Virgo-This should be a great month for most Virgo’s. If you were born September 9-11, Neptune has been opposing your Sun for some time now and will do so again this month. You may have felt others have been hiding things from you, not telling the truth, or your relationships may have been confusing or even come to an end. After this month you will begin to experience far more clarity especially in your dealings with others. It is possible you will have to take your rose colored glass off though, before this transit is over. If you were born before these date this transit has already occurred and if you were born after these dates it will occur in the future.

Virgo should have an overall good year in terms of meeting new people, new relationships and dealing with children this year, as Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter are all in your 5th house. It should be especially good for those who are ‘looking for love,’ or desire children in their life.

Mars the planet of action enters your 5th house February 16. This increases your opportunities for love, friendships and entertainment or even dealings with children.
If you are already in a relationship and do not have an interest in dealing with children expect to spend more time with friends or socializing. Either way, its all good.
Venus, the planet of love, values and beauty enters Aries or your 8th house on February 7. This will give you a boost in terms of sex, corporate or partner’s money, or you could get a tax refund, loan or mortgage this month if you are looking for one.

The full moon on February 9th falls in Leo, or your 12th house. You may want to spend time alone, or find yourself in a place of seclusion such as visiting a friend at a hospital or somewhere else that would be considered secluded. With a full moon in the 12th certain things can come to light or be revealed over the few days surrounding this moon. Things in your subconscious mind may come to light and you could let go of things, habits or people who no longer serve your interest.

Mercury retrogrades this month February 16-March 9, in your 7th house of partners. During this time some of your relationships may change, or you could review important relationships or even your marriage to determine if they are serving your needs. This is not limited to romantic relationships, but can extend to business relationships or those who are in your life on a day to day basis. Problems may come out or occur at this time, and some relationships may end, but this is only if they are tottering on the edge anyway. At times, those from your past may return at this time, or you may re-connect with them.

Mercury retrograde can cause breakdowns, glitches delays and it’s is best not to start new projects or get married on this transit. This is a better time to re-think and re-do. Part of the natural cycle includes stepping back to review what we have done or accomplished and now is the time. The time for new projects will come in about three weeks.

The Sun enters Pisces February 18, along with Neptune and Mercury. As the spotlight shines wherever the Sun goes, this month it will be on your partners. You will spend more of your time with others and concerned with others.
The New moon falls on February 23, and it is also in Pisces, or your 7th house of partners. You could begin a new venture with someone, or otherwise your focus will be on your partner or those you deal with on a daily basis.

February 28, issues can arise with your partners and something may cause you to question a relationship. This should not end a relationship unless there are serious problems anyway. If you handle the energy without placing blame or making accusations, the relationship can end up stronger and better in the end.

Libra- If you were born October 18-20, Saturn will square your Sun, causing obstacles, delays and making it harder to accomplish what you would normally do. If you were born before these dates this has already occurred and if you were born after these dates and toward the end of Libra, your Saturn transit will occur next month.

You could experience slowdowns, issues in the home or with family. If you are a woman, it could take the form of issues with the men in your life. Either way, this transit will pass next month and things will be lighter.

If you were born October 17-18, Pluto is square your Sun this month, and this will create many personal changes. Relationships could end, or change; you could change a job, home or have issues with home and/or family. This is part of a year and a half long cycle that will bring about many changes in your home, family and personal relationships over the next year.
Venus enters Aries February 7th and this places the planet of love and gain in your 7th house of partnerships and relationships. You could meet someone who interests you, or you could spend more time with an existing relationship if you have one. This can also give you a boost in dealing with people on a day to day basis in your professional life.

The Leo full moon on February 7th falls in your 11th house of friends, hopes and wishes. You could achieve something you have hoped for at this time, spend time with friends, or be more involved with groups. This Moon should be an overall positive time for you unless something else is blocking it in your personal chart. Your greatest focus will be on friends or co-workers and relationships. Make the most of it.

Jupiter and Neptune meet up on February 20, but you will feel this energy in the weeks before. This should have a positive effect in terms of your home life, or work. If other things in your chart are cooperating at this time, you could achieve some type of success at work or even in terms of your home or environment. If the results are not this drastic it should still be a pleasant time, and you should feel the positive energies of Jupiter and Neptune in these areas. If you have experienced issues with family members or those you are associated with this could be a time of re-connecting or healing.

Mercury turns retrograde February 16-March 9. This is not a time to buy high ticket items, get married or engaged or start new projects. Mercury retrograde is a time to re-do, re-flect and re-consider over the next three weeks. Sometimes previously unknown information can come to the forefront or things can change course.
Mercury will retrograde in your 6th house of health and work. You are probably fine, but this is a time to guard your health. Work can seem stressful or problems could arise. This does not mean your will face obstacles you cannot overcome, but it can be a more frustrating period in terms of delays and mis-communication especially. Computers and electronic equipment can go haywire. Things will return to normal in about three weeks and you will begin to move forward again.

Mars is the planet of action and on February 16, it leaves your third house and enters your fourth house which rules the home, and basic foundation. During this time you could move, make changes in the home, visit or see family and spend more time at home. Capricorn is not a natural match for Libra and you could experience some frustrations during this time, but this does not mean a negative experience. You will be surprised at how much you may accomplish over the next month and a half.

February 18, the Sun enters your house of work and health along with Neptune and Mercury. The Sun illuminates whatever part of your chart it is transiting through, and after February 18th it’s your work sector along with health. Now is the time to start a new diet or workout. If you do, it should turn out well, especially if you begin before Mercury retrogrades.

The New moon this month also falls in Pisces on February 23, placing a focus on work projects, pets and health. A Pisces new moon is a positive time to release any bad habit, emotion, or anything of the like, and setting your intention for the next month.

February 28, may be an emotional stretch in terms of relationships or family. Obsessiveness and over thinking by you or others can create friction. The opposite side of this is that you can delve deeply into an issue that can be transformed, making your relationship stronger.

Scorpio-If you were born November 12-13, Uranus is opposing your Sun, creating issues in relationships and unexpected change. If you are in a relationship it could end, or you or your partner may need to re-access how much freedom you need, or it could affect a different relationship in your life. Uranus transits tend to shake things up unexpectedly and you have been experiencing the affects of this for at least a year now. This will however, be the last pass of this jolting planet and things will level out next month. If you were born before these dates your transit has already occurred, and if you were born after these dates, it will occur sometime in the future.

If you are a Scorpio, Venus the planet of love and money leaves your 5th house of love and enters Aries, your 6th house of work on February 7th. This should give you a boost in your working life and you should interact well with those around you. You could even get some type of new opportunity or meet someone through work you are interested in. You could begin a new health regime, diet or exercise and if you do it should work out well.

The full moon falls in your 10th house of work and career on February 9th. Your focus will be here, or whatever you consider your priorities to be. There could be an obstacle, but if so, this does not look like a major issue and things will soon return to normal. Leo is in a clash with Scorpio. This full moon could be a little more stressful or intense than some, but the key is to be aware of the energy. The Leo moon creates a square to your Scorpio Sun, and this means things don’t always go smoothly. The new moon will be more your cup of tea.

Mercury retrogrades February 16-March 9, in your 5th house of friends and love. At this time you could end a friendship or relationship but it may or may not be permanent. You could experience a misunderstanding or miscommunication and if you do, try and roll with the tide, as this is what retrograde Mercury does, or can do. You could also re-connect with someone from the past as well over the next three weeks. There could also be a focus on children in some way if you are so inclined.

This is not a time to buy high ticket items, get married or engaged or start new projects. Mercury retrograde is a time to re-do, re-flect and re-consider over the next three weeks.
Sometimes previously unknown information can come to the forefront or things can change course. If you begin something new at this time, something about it will change in the future or it may not be what you hoped. Energies will shift again in three weeks, and we will move forward, and things will return to normal again.

February 20, and the days surrounding this date should be pleasant and uplifting as Jupiter and Neptune meet up in a positive angle. In your case you could connect with immediate family members, friends or neighbors, or even meet someone new. Don’t wear rose colored glasses if you do, but this could be someone you consider very special. You may take a short trip at this time, expand your mind in some way or experience a jolt of creativity. Either way you should have some enjoyable days so make the most of it as your imagination will be operating in overdrive.

Mars, the planet of action leaves your second house of money and finances and enters your house that rules short trips, co-workers, your neighborhood and your immediate family members. Don’t be surprised if you don’t take at least a short trip over the next six weeks, meet up with family members, neighbors or have something going on in your own neighborhood. What this is may be hard to say but it could be anything from construction, changes in neighbors or a neighborhood bar-b-que. You could have more communication with siblings, Aunts or Uncle’s, or even those you work with. You will get a lot done over the next six weeks with Mars in Capricorn, and this is a good match for Scorpio.

On February 18, the Sun enters Pisces or you 5th house of friends and love. As Pisces is a water sign, this should work well for you. You may put a greater focus on friends, children, or love. You could even meet someone new if single over the next month.
The New moon will fall in your fifth house as well. This will be an intuitive and cosmic moon, and your focus at this time will be on those you love. Children could play a part in this moon and you will feel intuitive and creative. This is a new moon made for Scorpio!
Watch your emotions on February 28, as things could get a little intense, especially at work. But you have the ability to turn a problem into a solution on this day.

Sagittarius-If you were born December 9th-10th Neptune has been square your Sun for over a year. You may have noticed more creativity and intuitiveness, but also vagueness, confusion, lack of clarity or a general lack of direction. Some relationships and situations may have been clouded. After February things will start to become much clearer and you should begin to regain your clarity.
Venus is Aries was made for Sagittarius this puts the planet of love and beauty in your 5th house of love and friends. The 5th house also rules children and you could have more of a focus here as well. Venus leaves Pisces for Aries on February 7th. You will be more likely to spend time with friends, those you love and socialize more this month. If you are single and looking for love, you may meet someone special over the next month.

The February 9th, full moon also works very well for Sagittarius as Leo is the other fire sign, and this places this upbeat full moon in your 9th house of travel and education. You may take a trip this month, or plan for a trip later. You could further your education in some way-it does not have to be formal education, or you could have dealings with someone from afar. Either way this should be glorious moon made for fun and laughter so make the most of it.
Mercury retrogrades February 16-March 9, in your 4th house of home. This also rules your basic foundation in life. You could experience home repairs or problems, have concern with family members, or be making some type of change in your basic foundation during this time.
Mercury retrograde is not the time to start new projects or buy high ticket items. Things can be delayed or change course. Things will change again when Mercury moves forward in three weeks.

You have some added luck in the financial realm and with work, as Jupiter and Neptune meet up in your 2nd and 6th house of work bringing new opportunities that may seem ideal. This is no guarantee they will turn out to be ideal, but then again, they may. This is creative cosmic energy that can bring about some long held hope over the few weeks surrounding February 20th. If nothing else, you should notice an upbeat and hopeful attitude that will help you attain what you are working toward. This energy will return again in July, but make the most of it this month.

Mars leaves your sign on February 16, and enters Capricorn. Mars entered your sign Sagittarius January 4th of this year. Since then you have no doubt been very busy. When Mars enters your sign about once every two years you begin a new two year Mars cycle. You typically become very busy and start many new things that will be important in the coming few years. Now Mars is entering your second house of money and finance and for the next month and a half you will be focused more on finances, and no doubt will accomplish a great deal.
The Sun enters your 4th house February 18, shifting the spotlight to your basic foundation, home and family. Home will become more important over the next month and you could spend more time there, or with family. You attention will be focused on those things you deem most important.
The New Moon in Pisces falls in your 4th house of home and family as well on February 23. At this time you may spend time there or with the ones closest to you as you set your intentions for the month ahead.
February 28th don’t let things get blown out of proportion with friends or lovers, Issues may arise that need to be dealt and patience may be called for on this day.

Capricorn-In many instances Capricorn may feel as though they have been put through the ringer over the past several years with both Saturn and Pluto, the two planets considered the most malefic in the sign Capricorn. Capricorn will get some help this year though, as Jupiter the planet of gain and expansion is also in Capricorn.

If you were born January 16-18, Saturn is conjunct your Sun this month: a once every 30 year occurrence. I typically tell my clients that when Saturn is conjunct your Sun you may re-create yourself in some way. If you are old enough to remember think about 1990, as this was the last time Saturn was conjunct your Sun. You probably made some big changes then, and now it is time to change again. You will be aided this year by Jupiter.

If you were born January 14-16 Pluto is conjunct your Sun this month. This is a major transit of change that could only occur once in a lifetime if at all. Pluto-Sun transits can increase the desire for change on some very personal levels and it can drive your ambition. With Pluto it is important to remember that an all or nothing attitude can be defeatist, and it can turn others against you as well.
Mars leaves your 12th house which represents the end of some matters and enters Capricorn February 16th. This marks the beginning of a two year Mars cycle. When Mars is transiting through your sign, typically you get very busy and start many new projects. Mars will now transit through each sector of your chart before coming back to Capricorn again in about two years. Make the most of it.
The full moon on February 9th falls in your 8th house, or Leo. This is a time of change and transformation. You could be concerned with money, finances, taxes, insurance policies, mortgages or the like. You could review some type of financial matter at this time. By the way, the 8th house also concerns sex, and secrets!

Capricorn is always a hard worker, and now may be a good time to take a break and do something fun. This full moon will be just the time for it.
Mercury retrogrades from February 16-March 9th in your third house. At this time communications can go awry and you need to watch your thinking as clarity could be a problem at some point, even if only for a minute. It could turn into a bigger deal if you forget an appointment! You may have more dealings with immediate family members, co-workers or those who live in your neighborhood.
Things will change again when Mercury moves forward in three weeks.

Capricorn will get a lift in February as the planet of expansion meets up with the planet of dreams.  Jupiter sextile Neptune is beautiful, dreamy energy which is not typically on the menu for realistic Capricorn. These two planets meet up on February 20th, but you will feel the energy several weeks before this date. This is a chance to expand out of your normal comfort zone and relax some. Use your intuition and imagination at this time and you may be able to come up with creative solutions to problems or a new way of looking at things. You could give or receive assistance. This will benefit all who were born under Capricorn but even more so if you were born from the 6th-10th of January.

The Sun moves into your third house or Pisces February 18th, and you will be more apt to take a short trip, visit immediate family members or even friends over the next month. Your mind will be working overtime, but you may notice is not in the absolutely direct way that Capricorn is used to. This is the Pisces season and you too are allowed to dream.
The New moon also falls in your 3rd house of trips and immediate family February 23rd.  Set your intentions now for the month ahead and dream a little more.
Family issues or issues with those close to you may arise on

February 28th. If this is the case you may have to use your own natural logic to straighten out the situation. I have all the faith in the world you will be able to do this.

Aquarius-If you were born January 22-23, Uranus is square your Sun this month. Uranus shakes us out of our rut and we often make changes at this time. It could be job change, relationships or family or something else as with Uranus, it’s hard to say. Either way, you already have experience with this transit over the past year and this will be the last pass of Uranus square your Sun. After February things should level out and become more stable, and you can look back at the changes you have made.
If you were born before these dates, this transit has already occurred, and if you were born after these dates it will occur in the future.

Venus, the planet of love, money and values moves from your financial house to your 3rd house on February 7th, or the sector in your chart that rules your thinking, short trips and immediate family members. You should get a boost in these areas, and it will help with your communication as well. Venus in Aries will work well for Aquarius.

The full moon of February 9th falls in your 7th house of partners and it is here you will be focused. Any full moon falling on the 1st-7th house axis deals with relationships of a close nature, and at times it begs the question, ‘are you getting and giving,’ what is appropriate. If you are woman you will certainly be concerned with the men in your life at this time. This does not mean the full moon ends badly however. You may well spend time with your partner if you have one, and have a great time as Leo rules the 5th house of fun and entertainment.
Some relationships will end at this time, but only if other aspects in your chart support this and the relationship is unstable anyway.

Mercury retrogrades February 16-March 9, in your second house of money and finance. If you have overspent you may have to pay the piper at this time. Otherwise money could come in a little slower or be delayed. Alternatively, you could just review your finances and make minor changes-or not.

Things will change again when Mercury moves forward in three weeks.

February 20th and the several weeks before, you get a boost as the planet of gain and expansion meets the planet of dreams. This could be an unusual time of creativity, helping those less fortunate or spiritual revelations. You could feel more psychic and inspired as Jupiter meets Saturn in your 12th house. Something that happens at this time may be karmic in nature.

With Saturn in your 12th house many things may be ending as the 12th house is the final sector of your chart. This can be mentally heavy so Jupiter should give you a psychological boost. Many more things will change in your life when Saturn leaves your 12th house in about a year or so.
The planet of action moves from your money sector into your third house on February 16th. As the 3rd house rules short trips you could go somewhere for a weekend trip or for business over the next month and a half. You may spend more time with immediate family, co-workers or neighbors. Your mind will be very active, and you will probably be on the road more than normal.

February 18, the Sun moves into your second house of finances joining Neptune and Mercury. This means you now have three planets in this sector of your chart so there will be a great deal of focus on money this month.

The New Moon also falls in your second house bringing you some type of new beginning as far as money is concerned. This does not mean it will be a major event, it could be as simple as paying a bill, or it could represent something larger. As the moon sextile Uranus you may well come up with some very creative ideas.

January 28, is a day to be aware of concerning conflicts that could arise with immediate family or co-workers. But, with Aquarius’s ability to detach you should be the cool one in the crowd who can help others approach things more logically than emotionally and dispel any deep seated upset that could affect the situation.

Pisces- Happy birthday Pisces! Neptune has moved halfway through the sign of Pisces now, so if you were born March 8th-9th, Neptune will conjunct your Sun this month. You have already been under Neptune’s spell for some time now and this period will change and you will have more clarity shortly.
Neptune can be a beautiful planet and bring creativity, spirituality and romantic images to mind, but it is also the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion. The most important thing you can do this month is to try and remain clear in your own thinking and in terms of expectations of others. If you don’t do this you may be disappointed later.
If you were born before these dates your Neptune-Sun period has passed and if you were born after these dates it is yet to come in the future.

Venus is the planet of love and beauty and it leaves your sign February 7th. This should have given you a personal boost over the past month and it now enters your house of finances for the next month. Venus in the 2nd house can help in terms of money, but you could also end up buying something that you cannot afford. Be careful!

The full moon on February 9th falls in Leo or your 6th house of work and health. This is where your focus will lie at this time. You could enter into a new health regime, job or job change; it does not have to be negative. As Leo rules drama you could experience this at work, or some people may feel they have not received enough attention. Leo is the most dramatic of signs and the people around you will want to express themselves one way or another and so will you. It’s a great time for socializing and this could occur with friends or you could take along some co-workers.
Mercury retrogrades February 16-March 9th in your sign. This means you may be more forgetful, experience delays or this may occur through other people. The 1st house represents you, and this is why this retrograde may be something you want to pay attention to. Be especially careful on the road, as there may be some times you zone out this month.

Things will change again when Mercury moves forward in three weeks.
Mars enters Capricorn February 16th, or your house of friends, hopes and wishes and groups. You action and activities may pick up dealing with groups or friends over the next month and a half. Mars rules our action, and when it enters a certain segment of our chart, activity generally picks up.

The Sun enters your sign February 18, and we are in the Pisces season. When the Sun is in your personal sign the spotlight is on you, and I tend to find that people feel more themselves at this time.

The New Moon brings you a gift with a special new moon that falls in your sign February 23rd. This is a positive if not cosmic moon for you this month as it makes no negative aspects. It will sextile Uranus, creating opportunities for excitement and a new way of doing or looking at things. This is your birthday moon, so set your intentions for the year and enjoy!

February 28, the planet of love and money squares Pluto. This could be an intense day, especially where money, love and friends are concerned. Keep a cool head, and I’m sure you will sail through this day as well as the rest of the month.
