Eclipse in Aquarius: Brave new world

The next eclipse is a solar eclipse that falls at 27 degrees of Aquarius on February 15. The peak of this eclipse is at 4:05 PM, EST. The eclipse will not be visible in the US.

Eclipses are like wildcards, and one of the ways we learn how and what we need to change and evolve. An eclipse can seem good or bad, depending on what it aspects in your personal chart, and often an eclipse is dramatic, or reveals important information if it aspects a significant point in your own chart/life, OR if some other transit is exact in your chart at the same time.  An eclipse often brings news pertaining to life's biggest events. The energy of an eclipse can go for months and in some cases years.
With an eclipse we have both endings and beginnings. A solar eclipse is more like a new beginning, and it is always a new moon. A lunar eclipse can being more news of endings and it is associated with a full moon.
Almost always unexpected information comes to light and at this time something may be eclipsed completely out of your life, or into your life. Eclipses can bring positive or negative events depending on what it aspects in your personal chart.
This eclipse is in Aquarius which rules the 11th house of the collective, friends, groups, as well as hopes and wishes. The collective will come into play and events can occur that pertain to us as a whole, or within your personal collective group or organization.
An eclipse like this one last occurred in February of 1999. If you are old enough to remember what happened then, you may have some idea of what this eclipse may bring you on a personal level.
An Aquarius eclipse is time to reach out and try something new. Aquarius is about trying new and different situations which can attain different results: You may break away from the old in some way.
The planetary rulers of Aquarius are Saturn and Uranus. Uranus is known to bring the unexpected.
Mercury will sextile Uranus, and this transit is mentally stimulating and positive allowing us to think outside the box. It could be a day of innovative thinking to find new and adventurous ways of doing things.
Venus sextiles Saturn, becoming part of the eclipse energy as well and this is positive for re-connecting with others, friendship, money and even love, although it could take on a pragmatic tone-that doesn't mean negative!
But, Mars is square Neptune, and this becomes exact February 16, the next day, which means we will be under the affects of this transit as well.
Mars square Neptune is tiring, discouraging, and Neptune is the planet of illusion, delusion, lack of clarity and even lies.
While things may seem exciting on one hand and opportunities may seem to be present, make sure everything is as it seems before committing on any level, and jump to no conclusions.
Mars-Neptune transits have a way of revealing information you were not previously aware of, so just make sure all is what it appears to be. Letting some time pass if there is something you are unsure of is not a bad idea.
Mars-Neptune also rules water related weather conditions, flooding and mold.
Be especially wary of people making promises, and if it seems too good to be true...(it probably is).
The best and highest use of this energy is creativity, spiritual pursuits of all types, and compassion may be given or received at this time.
While eclipses reveal all sorts of things, some things are within our control and some aren't. My advice is always to go with the most positive energy.
As always this transit will play out in the world and in the collective.
Mars-Neptune transits can be connected with chemical weapons, disease, water related weather conditions, lies and deception and scandals, as well as same sex relationships.
Aquarius is often connected with coups and unexpected change in governments.
In the US, this eclipse falls on the Moon in the US natal chart-the common people, or all of us. You can rest assured will see upheaval in the political world-the new normal in the United States.
