Full Moon in Sagittarius: High aspirations

This month's full Moon falls at 29.33 degrees of Sagittarius, peaking June 20, at 7:02 AM, EST. The 29th degree of any sign is considered a critical degree and crisis/action oriented. Some things can come to a close, an end or a conclusion on this moon.

Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter the planet of expansion and gain. Sagittarius rules the ninth house of education, outlook, travel and situations connected to foreign people and situations. Sagittarius is concerned with justice, truth, philosophy and religion. It is the sign ruling the law and legal issues, along with quests, adventures and gambles. Perhaps it is time to seek your higher truth, whatever it may be.

This is actually the second full moon in this sign in the past month. The last one was May 21, and it was at 1 degree of Sagittarius. This is rare, but not unheard of. This Moon also falls on the summer solstice as the Sun moves into Cancer June 20, at 6:24 PM, EST.

On the positive end, for some this can be a full moon concerned with expansion (Jupiter), new ideas, and potential opportunity. As this Moon trines Uranus we can be interested in a new opportunity or new ways of looking at or doing things, and the air may feel electric.

My advice is to go with this theme as best you can. As always, how this moon plays out for you personally depends on what it aspects in your personal chart.

The Mutable t-square has been with us for some time, and will continue on through the summer, and this too will play a role in this full Moon. This is difficult energy, and brings change to the world and to our lives yet again. The US Presidential election is the perfect example of the type of energy we are dealing with, and it is one of the ugliest ones we have seen in decades. The recent terrorist attack in Orlando is another example, as well as the attack in San Bernardino last year. Situations are convoluted, and the energy can be harsh.

In our personal lives things are changing, especially if you have mutable planets-Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces at 10-16 degrees. Mutable planets are changeable, and as

Neptune just turned stationary retrograde, this amps up the energy of the t-square that dominates the skies at this time.

This energy reminds me of the phrase, 'can't see the forest for the trees.' Many things in our lives are dissolving, as one reality morphs into another. As the old reality fades and our structures dissolve, the new reality may not yet be clear to us and herein lies the problem.

Neptune clouds the issue, Jupiter calls for expansion, yet Saturn shows us delays and restrictions. This is a tough line to walk, and yet it is only for the time and we must walk this path. We must keep moving forward and as the t-square separates in the fall, we will see our realities more clearly and what they have evolved into.

Mercury plays a role in this Full Moon as it opposes Saturn, and squares Neptune, setting off the t-square and forming a grand cross. While a t-square involves the energies of three planets, a grand cross involves four and we can expect to be pulled in many different directions at this time. This will affect your personal chart if you have planets in Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces at 10-12 degrees.

Mercury-Saturn is negative and depressing, and sometimes co-insides with bad news or just plain negative thinking. It can be analytical and help with critical thinking skills which will be much needed at this time. Be careful with driving or travel and watch your children and pets!

Mercury-Neptune can cloud the issue, confuse matters, or it can relate to lies and deception. This transit can be discouraging and self defeating if you let it.

Don't believe everything you hear, and don't lie to yourself either, and don't play mind games. You could be confused by other peoples actions, and nothing will be crystal clear. Dreams can be prominent.

This transit is so convoluted, it may be best to wait a few days before making any decisions that have long term consequences.

But, with the Moon in Sagittarius there is always the possibility of a better outcome than it may appear. If nothing else, tune into the expansive energy of Jupiter-Sagittarius, and Uranus and expand your mind and your thinking, and its times like this a new solution may come to you. Uranus can represent sudden, intuitive flashes of brilliance. Be sure to write them down as they can leave as quickly as they come.

As the mutable t-square will be set off we will see large events in the world. Sagittarius rules justice, laws and governments, and it is likely we will hear news of foreign people and situations.

Mercury and Saturn relate to young people, bad news, and negative communication. Add Neptune to the mix and we have lack of clarity, lies, and unclear situations, along with a major clash of ideas and philosophies. And I'm not just talking about the Presidential election. This energy will be prominent for a few days
