Venus in Gemini: A return to reason and chivalry

Venus entered Gemini July 4, where it will remain until July 31.

This is a great placement for Gemini, or those born under other air signs, or those who have a Venus compatible with Gemini.

Venus in Gemini is concerned with conversation, ideas, truths, and it doesn't like to be too staid or bored. Venus in Gemini can be as sensual as any other sign, but you must bring conversation, adventure and fun to the picture.

Manners count as does intelligence and ideas, most of all.
If you were born with Venus in Gemini, the first thing you will look for in a partner is intelligence and the ability to communicate and reason well. You can be talkative and romance can begin with an interesting conversation. After all, Gemini's planetary ruler is Mercury, the planet of communication.

Venus in Gemini enjoys many different types of people and can flit from one group to another with little notice, and often expect their partner to be able to travel with them at the speed of light if necessary. Routine situations can be quite dull and boring, as are dogmatic, predictable people.

Venus here is light and airy, and there is no greater turn off for those with Venus in this sign than people who are emotionally heavy and limiting, or jealous and possessive.

Most Venus in Gemini women respond to a certain type of polite chivalry, not the heavy he-man type of approach.
Chivalry is defined as: the combination of qualities expected of an ideal knight, especially courage, honor, courtesy, justice, and a readiness to help the weak. Courteous behavior, especially that of a man toward a woman.

Many Venus Gemini's are good at writing, communication, storytelling and fashion, or some other kind of art, or anything that stimulates the imagination and the mind.

Gemini is associated with the third house of the zodiac which rules communications, sales, writing ability, media, advertising, publicity, short journeys, neighbors, and siblings. The third house is also associated with the active search for knowledge, mental energy and telepathy.

Venus in Gemini is drawn to charismatic people who have interesting things to say. Unless something else in the chart shows it, you would never be attracted to a handsome (or pretty) but dumb individual for more than a fleeting moment. You like someone who can suggest interesting, if not adventuresome dates and places to go and always has their own thoughts about what is going on.

You have a light and friendly approach which puts most people at ease. Typically, you look for friends first, and aren't going to jump into an exclusive relationship overnight. And you will typically not be committed to one person unless there is an understanding between both parties. You are not the type to have three dates with someone and consider yourself 'committed,' or stop dating others. Nor would a Venus in Gemini typically 'wait for someone to get their act together,' especially for a long period of time, unless something else in the chart dictates this. This is too heavy, and there are far more interesting things to do.

Gemini is a mutable sign, so it's subject to change. Venus in Gemini has a bad rap astrologically for being fickle. As Gemini is a changeable sign, she (or he) can change her mind, but who can't? The dark side of Venus in Gemini has the potential to leave lovers in the lurch suddenly, but in all my experience reading charts, I don't think there is any Venus that could be exempt from this, especially if there is a good reason. Gemini can be more changeable than some, especially if things become too intense or dull. This could of course leave some people feeling duped, which again contributes to Venus's placement here being considered fickle. Venus's partner may never know where they really stand due to Gemini's changeable nature. If they aren't careful Venus in Gemini can spread themselves too thin, as they generally socialize with many different people.

Venus is Gemini is forever in love with the idea of love, chivalry, lightness and the fact there are so many interesting things and people in the world. Venus/Gemini isn't just looking for a partner, they are looking for their ideal partner.

Most specifically, they are looking for a partner who can keep up with them, and not become routine. Remember, Gemini is Mercurial and the Roman/Greek God Mercury could travel just under the speed of light. He was the God of messages (communication), eloquence and trade. He was known for his preserving and protecting nature to mankind, communication, wit and cleverness.
