June astrology: Jupiter enters Cancer!

 

Jupiter, the planet of luck, gain and expansion leaves Gemini for Cancer June 9^th where it will remain for the next year or until June 30^th 2026.

The Sun transits from Gemini into Cancer and the summer solstice occurs on June 20^th. Mercury transits through 3 signs; Gemini, Cancer and Leo. Venus moves from Aries into Taurus and Mars moves into Virgo. Saturn completes its first full month in Aries and squares Jupiter and conjuncts Neptune.  

I would love to say things in the world will calm down this month but this won’t be the case for June.

Jupiter enters Cancer

Jupiter enters Cancer June 9^th where it remains until June 30, 2026.

Jupiter is considered the greater benefic by astrologers and the planet of gain and expansion. Wherever Jupiter goes in your personal chart is where you will see gain each year through Jupiter on a personal level.

Cancer is about home, family, and getting in touch with our emotions. Cancer also rules the home and the homeland and many will regard themselves as more patriotic.  Of course what is patriotic for you, may not be patriotic to me or to Joe down the street and herein will lie the clash in the collective with the emotionality of the sign of Cancer which rules not only the home but the ‘homeland.’

When Jupiter is in this sign many people buy real estate, move or re-decorate the home. Family get togethers will be more frequent and there will be more entertaining at home. Of course this is a great placement for Water and Earth signs, especially Cancer who should have a great year unless something else very significant interferes with the transit.

Jupiter takes 12 years to go through the entire zodiac and transited through Cancer the following dates/ years;

Jupiter squares Saturn

As soon as Jupiter enters Cancer it begins a square with Saturn which moved into Aries May 24th. In the strictest sense of the word this aspect will continue through the end of July (Jupiter square Saturn) but is at its most powerful during June.

This will affect us globally and is generally thought of as bad for the financial markets. In 2024 Jupiter squares Saturn twice; In August and the result was a large drop in the stock market, and then again in December with the same results.

Saturn square Jupiter has been known to be associated with problems in Europe.

On a personal and global level this aspect can seem restrictive financially or otherwise, especially if it hits something in your personal chart. If this aspect is going to affect your chart you would have Cardinal planets (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) at 0-3 degrees. This transit is exact June 15^th.

The week of June 15^th looks like a difficult period. In addition to Jupiter’s exact square to Saturn we will experience the following transits all pointing to a week of serious or important global events:

Venus squares Pluto June 9th-This affects us globally in terms of finance/money, scandals and power. In our personal lives it can coincide with obsessive thinking and behavior, domestic upheaval, revelations that can seem shocking, money issues and relationships.

Mercury squares Saturn June 9^th-This can seem tiring, negative and we can experience blocks and negative feelings and news.

Mercury squares Neptune June 9^th-This is indicative of lies, deception and unclarity. At times it deals with water related events.

Mars squares Uranus June 15^th-No doubt this will coincide with volatile world events or even violence. It is prone toward unexpected events, unexpected change and in some cases separations and is indicative of upheaval.

Jupiter squares Neptune in Cancer/Aries

On June 18^th, Jupiter squares Neptune but we will feel the energy before and after this transit is exact. It will be in a tight orb which means the energy is powerful from June 9^th-at least mid July.

Neptune is the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion, as well as creativity, psychic abilities, drugs and alcohol to name just a few. The symbol representing Neptune is two fish swimming in opposite directions. Neptune is frequently associated with lies, deception, lack of clarity and self deception. That said it rules the artistic world, psychics, religion and spirituality, compassion and sacrifice.

As Jupiter clashes with Neptune issues and situations can become muddled. Things may not be what they appear and we can be deceived into believing things are one way when in fact they are another. As Jupiter expands whatever it touches deceptions can get larger along with personal self deception.

Gas lighting, smoke and mirrors, unclear scenarios and self delusion will be common during this transit. Confusion and lack of clarity or being mislead in terms of the facts will be the hallmark of this time. This can be a transit of lies and theft. My advice would be to pay attention to the fact that anyone can get scammed these days.

On the other hand, this can be beautiful, spiritual and creative energy. Compassion can be given or received, creativity may be at a high, as can psychic abilities, and dreams can be vivid. The last time Jupiter squared Neptune Pope Francis visited the US and Congress. I have found that Neptune and planets in Pisces typically deal with news of the Vatican.

Love can seem ideal at this time. A relationship that seems this way should be given the test of time because only when these planets move apart or separate and we are no longer under the 'Neptunian spell,' can we gauge accurately whether or not we feel the same way as we do under this transit. As the two planets separate things and situations can be revealed to be different from what we may have thought.

Saturn conjuncts Neptune

As soon as Saturn enters Aries, it conjuncts Neptune. While the conjunction will not be exact, it is nevertheless still conjunct for the entire period Saturn is in Aries this year and will continue in to next year.

This is not the easiest of transits and it is global in nature. While this will affect all of is, it is associated with major events on a global level and has been connected with Russia. The Russian Revolution and other significant junctures have occurred on this transit in the past but it is not limited to Russia. It has also been connected with significant changes in the British Royal family.

Saturn represents our structures and Neptune has a dissolving affect. Many things will change during this time and many things that we are familiar with will fade away.

This aspect can be confusing or even depressing. What you thought was real may not be and what you thought was not real may be real. Dissolving realities might be a good phrase to describe this transit. Propaganda will be a problem.

Of course Saturn and Neptune are in Aries, the first sign of the zodiac and represent newness. While one reality may dissolve it will morph into something new and this would be the most important things to focus on.

This transit has a lot of global implications and collectively we are in a time of great change; perhaps more change than we have ever seen in our lifetimes. We can expect social uprisings and geo-political changes over the next few years. There have been times this aspect has denoted viruses and pandemics.  

A planet in Aries at 0 degrees is considered the ‘world point’. It is considered a critical degree and events can occur that on some level affect us all.

While Neptune and Saturn have a dissolving affect, all of the outer planets along with Saturn and Jupiter will be making positive transits with each other in the coming months and years. For example;

-Pluto sextiles Saturn and Neptune and trines Uranus

-Neptune and Saturn sextile Uranus

-Uranus sextiles Saturn and Neptune and trines Pluto

-Saturn and Neptune sextile Uranus and Pluto

-In 2026 Jupiter in Leo will join several of the outer planets as well.

All of this points to a societal dissolution and breakdowns that are replaced by new concepts, ideas and ways of doing things with an emphasis on the new. Technology and medicine will boom among other industries or inventions we may not be able to discern at this time.

Some of this begins this summer but 2026 will be pivotal. This has been referred to as a ‘reset for humanity.’ We have not seen transits like this in our lifetimes and I cannot find a time in history this has occurred.

Venus enters Taurus June 6-July 3^rd

Venus in Taurus will be a significant change from self oriented Venus in Aries. Over the next few weeks there will be a greater focus on love, money, luxury items or beauty, beautiful things, relationships and personal as well as collective values. Venus is happy and lavish in this sign and you may feel a desire to surround yourself with richness on many different levels whether it is art, clothes, jewelry, calming music or rich food. Go ahead and enjoy the most basic of comforts: touch, smell, sensuality, beauty, comfort, relaxation and food. Venus in Taurus takes us back to the basics of life and we can indulge and luxuriate in the simpler things that make us the happiest on an inner level.

Now is the time to focus on relationships, and putting your emotions and feelings first, ahead of work or other heavy demands. This can be a relaxed time where we are focused most of all on the physical, the beautiful, and we can connected to the earth and outdoors and the beauty of spring as Taurus is an Earth sign. Plan a walk or hike, and get grounded by Mother Earth. Typically this is a great time for planting and getting your garden under control if you are inclined in this way. Taurus is typically considered fruitful and the best sign for planting whether it is a large country or urban garden or houseplants on a balcony or in a window.

Mercury enters Cancer June 8-26th

Mercury is the planet that rules all of our speech and communication whether it is writing, talking with others, making a sales pitch or talking with loved ones. Mercurial energy will change from fact oriented Gemini to the most emotional and sensitive of signs, and our communication will become much more emotionally driven.  Those who are born with Mercury in Cancer are typically able to sway others through their ability to emotionally inspire, convince or speak to another’s emotions.

When Mercury is in Cancer we intuit our feelings and conversation much more than during other times. The keyword for Mercury in Cancer is “I feel” as opposed to “I think.” Cancer is ruled by the Moon, the luminary that governs our inner emotions so while Mercury is in Cancer, it is in the Moon’s natural sign. During this time we will be more concerned with our emotional life and the emotions as well being of family members and those closest to us.

The emotionality of Mercury in Cancer will be something we will need to watch as this can lead to extreme emotional displays, reactions, and feelings that can get deeply hurt. Mars enters Virgo June 17-August 7^th

Virgo is the sign that rules the 6^th house of work and health so it is here much of our attention will be focused over the next six weeks. Now will be the time to start new health regimes, work out or exercise plans or to get any health issue of concern checked by a Dr. as Virgo is a sign that is strongly connected to healing, medicine and natural medicine. As the 6^th house also rules work, we will be much more focused on this area of our life than we were with Mars in energetic, freewheeling and fiery Leo, so expect a major energy shift as Mars changes signs.

For the past 7 weeks Mars in Leo has stirred up drama and a lot of grandstanding, passion and desire for fun. Things will change in a significant way as Mars enters the more subdued and stable earth sign Virgo. Virgo is one of the mutable signs along with Gemini, Sagittarius and Pisces. When a planet enters a mutable sign we are subject to change and our actions and approach toward what we are doing will alter with Mars in this sign.

Virgo is ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication so while in Virgo our action will be connected to our minds, thinking and speaking.  In other words, we will use our brains to a greater degree and be much more determined to get things done, and done correctly.

Mars is a hot, fiery and aggressive, passionate planet by nature. While it is in Virgo these qualities will be tempered and Mars becomes a fact seeking, detail oriented and sometimes perfectionist, albeit hard working and concentrated type of energy to work with.

Now is the time to get all the things you have put off this year done. Not only will you get them done, they will in all likelihood be done correctly, perhaps even the first time.

Virgo is the most detail oriented sign of the zodiac and when planets go into Virgo they mean business. With Mars in this sign you will be determined to be productive, take care of you affairs, and not make mistakes. Full moon in Sagittarius June 11th

This month’s full moon falls in the sign ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion. This moon will oppose the Sun which every full moon does and this can ramp up our emotions for better or worse.

Mercury sextiles Venus today and this is positive for communication, social activities or any type of business meeting.

All in all this should be a fairly positive full moon for most!

June 20^th the Sun enters Cancer or summer solstice is here

The Sun will remain in Cancer until July 22^ndand this is the Summer Solstice, which is the longest day of the year.

Whatever your age, this marks the start of the short 3 month season of warm beaches, outdoor events and gatherings, sunshine and romantic summer nights.

Cancer’s planet is the Moon which rules women, our emotions, feelings and family or those who are like family.  The Cancer season is all about summer, family get-togethers, family vacations and getting in touch with what we really need on an inner level to feel happy and secure. 

Look for a huge energetic shift as the Sun in Cancer is much more about our feelings and what really lies in our hearts as opposed to our intellect and ideas when it was in Gemini. Cancer is the most sensitive sign in the zodiac, and like the Moon, feelings are always shifting and changing. The Moon changes signs every 2 and a half days and those born under Cancer are dramatically affected by the changes. The moon represents our instincts and feelings that are not bound up in logic or reason.

Cancer is part of the water element and not only are water signs more sensitive and emotional than others they are typically in touch for their deepest feelings and inner psyche. Cancer can come across as moodier than others but they are also intuitive and perceptive.  Cancer is a caring and giving sign typically, and you may find yourself feeling more protective and comforting toward loved ones during this time, or spending time with a friend over a cup of coffee talking about their concerns. 

Cancer can come across as having a hard edge at times, but you have to remember that the crab is protected by a hard shell to fend off predators. To get to the innermost feelings of a Cancer, trust has to be built and they seldom read like an open book unless you have earned their trust.

While Cancer is a loving and warm sign, moodiness and too many ups and downs can sometimes get in the way of saying or accomplishing what you want to achieve. We will be operating from more of an emotional place than logical, and our feelings and judgment may be colored by our inner emotional reactions to things.

Cancer does not let others close until they feel a sense of trust toward the other person so don’t be surprised if some seem to back off a bit this month. In the end however, if you really connect there is no sign more loyal and protective than the crab, and their intuition about what is happening is generally spot on.

June 22^nd, the Sun squares Saturn. This is typically a tiring and draining day and you may feel blocked in some way. This is not a light and frivolous transit and many of us will be focused on work. Typically, this transits deals with world events that involve leaders; Presidents, Prime ministers, etc.

The new moon in Cancer or the ‘Cancer birthday moon’ falls on May 25^th at 4 degrees of Cancer. Since this moon squares Saturn and Neptune it won’t be the easiest of new moons. We may be focused on serious matters and in some cases we could experience endings.

Mercury enters Leo

Mercury in Leo is more expressive, playful and dramatic than any other sign. While Mercury is in Leo the way we speak or even write can be designed to get others attention or simply get some type of rise out of someone else. Our communication takes on leonine qualities and the way we present ourselves and our ideas will be far more bold, expressive and direct. At best self expression can manifest itself in a creative and dramatic manner meant to draw in those who are most significant whether in love, friendship or business.

At worst communication can be too dramatic in nature and lean toward emotional outbursts rather than a creative expression of what we want. Take care not to let your conversation become too over bearing, demanding or provocative toward others. They same goes for being overly exuberant in your expression of emotions. Think about what you really wish to convey before expressing it. As Leo is a fire sign it may be hard to tone things down and come across in a manner that doesn’t overwhelm others. We can also expect a certain amount of gas-lighting and attention grabbing maneuvers with Mercury in this sign. But, all in all communication should tend toward being positive, upbeat and a little more playful if not enjoyable. That’s not bad in these overly serious times.

 

 

Saturn enters Aries May24th and squares Saturn/Neptune

 

Saturn enters Aries May 24^th-September 1^st for the first time in nearly 30 years at 0 degrees of Aries. Typically, when Saturn changes signs it dips its toes into the next sign for a few months giving us a preview of what’s to come. On September 1^st it returns to Pisces for one final stretch before entering Aries again February 14^th, 2024 where it will remain for the next several years.

Aries rules the 1^st house of the zodiac; Pisces rules the 12^th house or last house of the zodiac.  This means we are entering into new territory with Saturn in Aries and individually and collectively we will be focused on new approaches to life. We will all experience many changes personally and in the world over the next few years. As a matter of fact when Aries leaves Saturn nothing will be the same.

Aries is ruled by Mars the planet of action and aggression Aries can be connected with courage and responsibility, leadership and major efforts to move forward but it also rules aggression and anger, hence its name, ‘the god of war.’

Aries represents new beginnings being the first sign of the zodiac We will see many advances but will need to watch out for impatience, fear of failure, authority issues and burnout.

We experienced WW11, Vietnam and the US was involved in ‘operation desert strike’ during Saturn’s last 3 transits. There was also the Kosovo conflict to name only several events during the last cycle. War is necessarily imminent but when Saturn changes signs it typically coincides with major change in the world as well as our lives.

Saturn is called the ‘taskmaster’ and is always about learning and improving ourselves in some way. It creates stability and grounding but sometimes it is not easy to come by.

Saturn will make many aspects in the US chart which tells us this is not necessarily an easy time in the US. Saturn joins Neptune in Aries so it is conjunct Neptune. Neptune dissolves our structures (Saturn). So we can look for many things we may have depended on to not be there in the future.  Human nature is to replace the old with the new so this will certainly happen as well.

Saturn squares Jupiter

When Saturn enters Aries it begins to square Jupiter on June 9^th when the planet of gain enters Cancer. We could say that things certainly aren’t off to a great start with this. This can affect us personally and globally and could concern money/finances or even tariffs.

This transit might be compared to trying to paddling a canoe upstream or trying to drive with the brakes on. While Jupiter is the planet of expansion, Saturn represents restriction and delays, and this is a collision of these two principals.

Money issues may come to the surface, or depending on what is in your chart you may feel the restriction coming from some other area of life. For some, relationships may end at this time, but only if they are not working out already. Any relationship can be affected but if the partnership is basically sound it should withstand the stress.

Many things may slow down during this time, or you may lack inner conviction, or your timing can be off.  It is important to consider these factors.

This transit can represent legal, financial and business problems, and there could be a lack of support, especially if this aspects your personal chart. There could be issues with higher education, moral issues, or indifference. Frustration may build up to the point where something has to give and change occurs at this point.

For some this might represent a culmination of business affairs of some type, but Saturn can delay, and restrict.  There could be added responsibilities and pressures in your job during this period, or you could make some kind of change in your job or work.  Saturn squared in August and December 2024 in Gemini/Pisces. The stock market went down substantially both times.

This time the square will be in Cancer/Aries. The peak of this energy is through June but it continues to a lesser degree through July.

May astrology; Saturn enters Aries!

 

This is a year of major astrological changes which will change our lives and  the world. This month Saturn enters Aries for the first time in 30 years. Saturn will leave Pisces for Aries on May 25-September 1^st. When Saturn and the outer planets change signs they typically ingress into the next sign for a few months before returning to the old sign for one last pass. From September 1st-February 14^th 2025/26 Saturn will remain in Pisces. February 14^th 2026 it returns to Aries and begins its 2 and a half year cycle which will last until April 13^th, 2028. During its first pass in Aries, Saturn will conjunct Neptune.

Other planetary changes this month include the Sun’s ingress from Taurus to Gemini, Mercury transits through Aries, Taurus and Gemini and Pluto retrogrades. Mars continues its transit through Leo and Venus transits through Aries for the 2^nd time due to the retrograde. We have a full moon in Scorpio and a new moon in Gemini. Now, the details.

Saturn enters Aries May 25

There could not be 2 signs any more different than Aries and Pisces. Aries rules the 1^st house of the zodiac; Pisces rules the 12^th house or last house of the zodiac. Like the 29^th degree, the 0 degree of any sign is also considered critical, especially Aries. The 0 degree of Aries is considered the ‘world point’ and not only does the zodiac begin here, we may all be concerned with events that can affect the world with a planet in Aries at this degree. Saturn in Aries will move from 0-1 degrees this year.

Aries is ruled by Mars the planet of action and aggression. With Saturn in this sign we may take more initiative.  Aries can be connected with courage and responsibility along with leadership but some may develop a short fuse.

We will need to watch for impatience, fear of failure, authority issues and burnout.

When Saturn changes signs our lives change along with the world and we will need to watch for more aggressive behavior which includes war; personally and globally.

Saturn in Aries is unfavorably placed as it is considered at its fall in astrology. This means it is at its weakest state and is not comfortable with the energy.

Most of all we have to remember that Aries is a new start or the baby of the zodiac so many new things will begin during this cycle globally and personally.

Saturn conjuncts Neptune in Aries

When Saturn enters Aries it will conjunct Neptune in Aries the entire time it is in this sign in 2025. When Saturn and Neptune return to Aries in 2026 they will conjunct again and this period will last for approximately 3 years.

Saturn-Neptune transits have a confusing and dissolving affect at the same time. Saturn represents structure and Neptune dissolves our existing reality.  Saturn squared Neptune in 2015-16.

An aspect like this is rare and not only does it affect us, it has a global affect and we will see many changes over the next few years as 0 degrees is considered the world axis.

Saturn last conjuncted Neptune in Aries in 1702-1703. Prior to this it was 1380, so this is a rare occurrence for these planets to co-mingle in the sign that rules the 1^st house.

In 1702 St. Petersburg in Russia was founded. This transit is associated with Russia so in some way Russia will be redefined or undergo major changes over the next few years. Past Saturn-Neptune transits were involved in the Russian revolution, Stalin and Vladimir Putin was born with a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Libra. The opposition of Saturn/Neptune in Aries will oppose his natal conjunction in Libra which will be a prominent transit that  could signal the end of his control of Russia if not his death at some point.

It is likely this period will usher in social unrest. Information will be foggy, misinformation will be rampant and we will need to be able to think clearly and check and recheck the information we absorb which will be vital.

At best we could see some compassionate leadership in the world. Abraham Lincoln, FDR and JFK were all born with a Saturn-Neptune conjunction and were involved in changes that affected the world. Compare these leaders to Putin and you can see both the worst case as well as best case outcomes of this aspect. Xi JinPing of China was also born with the same Saturn/Neptune transit so this aspect will change both Chinese leadership and Russia in some major ways.

Saturn-Neptune historical events

1989 saw Saturn and Neptune conjunct in the sign of Capricorn. During this time the Berlin wall came down and we saw the fall of communism in Eastern Europe, the Romanian Revolution, the Tiananmen Square Protests, and the ‘Velvet revolution in Czechoslovakia. George H Bush was inaugurated; the World Wide Web was introduced and a major earthquake struck in Loma Pieta, Ca.

Saturn and Neptune conjoined in 1952 in the sign Libra. During this period Putin and Jinping were born and  a polio epidemic occurred along  with The Great Smog in London which alerted the world of the dangers of the use of coal.

In 1917 Saturn and Neptune were conjunct in Leo and America entered WW1, the Russian revolution occurred and we saw the Spanish Flu that killed between 17-100 million deaths worldwide.

Disease can be a problem during this cycle and if so it would be airborne. This is something we need to pay attention to and use vigilance.

Everything that occurs under this transit is not negative, but it is a confusing period and we will have to shift through what is accurate and what is not to move forward. A new world will be born over these years and we will have to make many changes along with it. While it may not be the easiest of transits it will be an exciting if not interesting time to be alive.

Pluto retrogrades May 4^th-October 14th

For some, this retrograde could go unnoticed unless it is making a significant aspect in your own personal chart as its affects occur on a very subtle but deep level.

Issues relating to money, joint finances, investments, lawsuits, partnerships and sex will become more internalized during this period allowing us to look at things from a different viewpoint. Pluto is about making deep change over time that can alter our lives in significant ways. One way of looking at Pluto’s retrograde is the discovery of that which is no longer working, which will become obvious as the powerful planet retrogrades. Pluto wants to uncover things and bring them from the darkness and into the light so positive change may occur. This works on a collective as well as personal level. Pluto is about fixing all things that are worn out or have outlived their purpose in your life, or been left to decay. This can include projects, relationships, ideas and even real estate to name only a few. Pluto tears down to rebuild in a stronger way.

Issues involving control, money, sex or power may appear to lose steam during this time, but these issues are not really going away, they are just going beneath the surface, where activity is still occurring on an inner level. In a sense we are backing up so we may reconsider important ideas and new information.  We are being given an opportunity to delve into the deepest parts of our subconscious mind to understand how we really feel, and what we would like to change.

When Pluto turns direct again in October any issues we have failed to deal with will surface again both in our personal lives and on the world stage. But, as Pluto retrogrades we have the opportunity to look at things differently and effect transformative change that can be permanent and make our lives stronger than what they were.

The Sun enters Gemini May 20-June 21st

Gemini is an intellectual Air sign ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication, travel, young people and pets. The Gemini season will inspire social activity, conversation, new ideas and a focus of our energies outwardly and into the world.

Air signs are typically full of ideas and plans and while the Sun is in Gemini our energies will be directed much more toward others. Air signs are full of mental energy that can sometimes seem to move at the speed of light, activities and communication pick up and you may feel that ideas come so rapidly you can hardly remember everything. This will be especially true while Mercury transits Gemini.

Gemini is observant of the world and all surroundings. At times this sign can be considered ‘airheaded’ or duplicitous but much of the time this can be attributed to the fact that Gemini is changeable and always looking for the better solution and all sides of the problem. Gemini can often take a neutral approach to problems as they search for a logical as opposed to emotional answer. Never underestimate Gemini’s remarkable ability to see all sides of an equation.

Sometimes this energy can seem unpredictable and restless. You may find your time is split in many different directions and your curiosity piqued on different levels. Enjoy the natural curiosity and desire to interact with others during the Gemini season. Use this time to express all sides of yourself and enjoy things that are a little offbeat rest assured, it won’t be boring!

Mercury enters Taurus May 10^th-May 26

Mercury is the planet that is associated with speech, thinking and all types of communication, and as it changes signs our thinking and style of communication change along with it. Mercury also rules our intellect, ability to analyze, pets, travel, siblings and immediate family members. 

While Mercury was in Aries we felt inspired and full of new ideas, and now is the time to turn these ideas into concrete reality. Mercury in Taurus can give our communication and thinking a practical type of style and determination.

Taurus rules the 2^nd house in astrology or income and possessions. Venus is the ruler of the sign Taurus and Venus represents money, values, love and our social lives so our thoughts will turn to these matters as well. Taurus is a rich and sensual sign and we will be more interested in material possessions, land and perhaps the earth itself. Our interests could turn to investments, property, food, art and jewelry, beauty products, clothes and items that beautify our surroundings. As Venus is the ruler of Taurus she becomes the star of the show, and of course, Venus rules love. Expect to feel more expressive and expansive in your feelings and communication, and others will be the same. Now is the time to communicate with your partner and those you love and express the way you truly feel. This type of communication will come easier, and be much more natural during this time.

Taurus also rules the voice. Mercury in Taurus is a great time for those who are musically inclined and sing, do podcasts or anything involving the voice. Mercury in Taurus could indicate sales, trade, and profit as well.

The downside of Mercury/Taurus can have to do with a stubborn unwillingness toward creative change. As Taurus is a fixed sign, change comes slowly with Mercury in this sign, and once a decision is made it is often irrevocable.

Mercury enters Gemini May 26-June 8th

Gemini is all about communication and thought, and it is an Air sign ruled by Mercury. Mercury is considered ‘at home,’ in this sign, meaning Mercury works well in Gemini. Mercury rules both Gemini and Virgo.

This will be a significant energy shift from grounded Mercury in Taurus. Gemini is about free flowing thought, communication, and weighing out different ideas and patterns of thinking. Mercury-Gemini may seem scattered at times, but that is because Gemini likes to take in so much information and is not interested in details like Mercury in Gemini is.

Air signs and Gemini are intellectual as opposed to emotional so communication may seem lacking in emotion, and more centered around facts, concepts and ideas. To some, this may come across as cold but Mercury in this sign is more concerned with facts and ideas as opposed to emotion. Emotionally driven thinking will come when Mercury enters Cancer.

Mental energy will be abundant while Mercury is in Gemini and you may need to find positive ways to direct it. You could find that you say whatever comes to your mind without thinking. If you can control this tendency, Mercury in Gemini should be a delightful time, full of mental energy and big ideas. Gemini is known for inspiring others and uncovering little nuggets of wisdom and that can move us forward in a positive direction.

May’s full moon in Scorpio May 12th

The full moon falls at 22 degrees of Scorpio this month. Scorpio is one of the planetary rulers of Mars, the planet of action and aggression. Scorpio is considered the most intense sign of the zodiac. This moon will impact fixed signs or those with fixed signs the most; Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. What it does in your life depends on where it falls in your personal chart.

This moon opposes Uranus in Taurus which is prone to unexpected events that can sometimes be shocking. Uranus is all about freedom which is why it is associated with breakups, changes and even coups.

At the same time the moon will trine Saturn in Pisces. This will give us much more stability than we would have were this not the case!

Mercury is square Pluto and this is a transit of obsession and propaganda. This aspect is connected with feeling obsessive about relationships or any other number of things depending on what is going on personally. It can lead to arguments, accidents and there may be others who try and convince you of their point of view or vice versa. At best this can be a day of getting to the bottom of an issue or problem. We can expect this to be a very heavy news day in the world.

May’s New moon in Gemini May 26^th

Gemini is the sign that rules the 3^rd house of the chart or thinking and communication and this will be a moon with a great deal of communication. This moon conjuncts Mercury which can cause some be come across as willful but it also represents travel, pets, kids and the exchange of information. The moon’s sextile to Saturn gives us some stable energy. It’s sextile to Neptune represents compassion and creativity and its trine to Pluto means it is a good time for in depth discussions individually or within groups.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

April astrology; Neptune in Aries/Mercury and Venus direct

 

This month Neptune transits through Aries for the first time in 165 years. Mercury and Venus turn direct and the Sun leaves Aries for Taurus. Mars finally leaves Cancer for Leo this month. Mars has been in Cancer since September due to Mars long retrograde that began in December 2024. We will experience a full moon in Libra and a new moon in Taurus plus the volatile Mars/Pluto opposition later in the month. Now, the details.

 On March 31^st Neptune entered Aries for the first time where it will stay until October 23^rd. This begins an entire new cycle in our lives and in the world. While it will go back into Pisces in October, Neptune will return to Aries January 27^th, 2026 and remain there until March of 2039 or the next 14 years. This transit will change many things in the world and how it changes your life personally depends on where it falls in your personal chart.

Aries rules the first house or the self. We will all be driven to accomplish our personal goals. Neptune in Aries will put impulsiveness in the sign of service and spirituality and even with Neptune’s veil we may see things in a clearer cut way over the next few years as opposed to Neptune in Pisces and its totally unclear aspirations.  

Wars are possible with Neptune in this sign as it is ruled by Mars. We must be careful not to develop a war like and aggressive mentality which has happened in the past. I have written extensively about this change here.

Mercury turns direct

April 7^th Mercury turns direct at 26 degrees of Pisces. As I have written many times just because Mercury turns direct doesn’t mean the fun is over. When it turns direct this part of the cycle is called its ‘direct station’ and is from April 7^th-10^th. At this point things may change again or reverse directions. Next to Mercury’s station when it turns retrograde this is one of the most powerful points in the cycle. Mercury’s shadow period will last until April 28^th and things return to normal once again.

Mercury re-enters Aries April 16^th where it will remain until May 10^th

Expect to return to certain things that were happening when Mercury first entered Aries March 3^rd-30^th before it retrograded back into Pisces.

Mercury is in Aries which is Mars sign. We can expect more assertive or aggressive communication and even rudeness at worst. On the positive side Aries rules initiative, bravery and pioneering ideas.

April 15-17 Mercury conjuncts Neptune. This is prone toward confusion and lack of clarity. Get your facts straight before presenting your case!

Venus turns direct April 12^th

Venus began its retrograde March 1^st that started in Aries and will end at 24 degrees of Pisces. When Venus retrogrades we reconsider our relationships, money and values. Venus reaches its direct station on April 12^th-17^th before beginning its forward motion once again.

Venus will remain in Pisces all month; the sign it is exhalted in. This means energy flows well and Venus is powerful in this sign. This will work especially well for all water signs.

April 7^th Venus will conjunct Saturn at 25 degrees of Pisces. While this is the ‘exact date’ in all reality this aspect will continue through at least April 21^st. Venus and Saturn don’t jell well. This transit will take away from Venus’s softer energy and replace it with the energies of Saturn which are harder to deal with. In some cases if this aspect hits the personal chart in a negative way it could lead to breakups. Love will certainly be more practical with this transit as opposed to the lighter and more romantic energy of Venus in Pisces on its own.

Venus will re-enter Aries where it began its retrograde April 30-June 6^th. It will leave its shadow period on May 13^th when it will once again return to normal until it’s next retrograde in 2027. What have you learned during Venus’s retrograde cycle this time?

After April 12^th all planets will be direct for the first time in 2025. With the retrogrades of Mercury, Mars and Venus many things that were done during these periods will end up being reversed now that these planets are direct. Case in point, all of the court decisions that are reversing actions taken by the Trump administration.

Mars enters Leo April 18-June 17^th

Mars finally leaves its transit through Cancer for Leo where it will remain the next 2 months. While Cancer rules the home/homeland Leo rules the 5^th house of love, children and friends.

Leo is ruled by the Sun which represents our vital core as well as our ego, and the next 8 weeks we will be more outgoing, optimistic and geared toward seeking pleasure.

While Mars in Cancer has been a sensitive and emotional Water sign, Mars in Leo is a Fire sign full of energy and confidence, and in some cases pride.

While Mars is in this sign we will seek pleasure, fun and companionship and be in a mood to socialize more and seek attention. Expect to be drawn to attractive clothes, jewelry and other things that make you stand out in the crowd as Mars/Leo can be quite flamboyant. Mars in Leo is no wallflower, and even those who are normally shy may come out of their shell more during this aspect of Mars. Mars/Leo likes to be dramatic and expressive as well as fun loving, creative and passionate.

Mars in Leo creates a personal need and desire to shine and be recognized. Leo knows fun is a necessary part of life so expect to spend more time socializing and making the most of the warm summer days coming up.

Leo is well known as a sign that is associated with artists, performers and royalty. The downside of Leo is pride, stubbornness and overconfidence. To be someone who is respected and shines in the public light you must do something to be respected and shine and not automatically expect this treatment from others. Overconfidence is a risk so it is important to know what you are talking about if you want to shine and not expect the rewards without the work to back them up.

Leo has a tendency to over dramatize at times and they like their ego stroked. If Leo feels they are not getting enough attention, or being treated they way they feel they deserve to be treated they can get highly offended. Leo’s purr can turn to a roar in a split second and like the Lion that represents them, they retreat back to the jungle. Leo seldom if ever forgets a slight.

If you can watch these tendencies Mars in Leo can be can be an exciting, wonderful time, filled with fun, energy and confidence.

April 19^th the Sun enters Taurus until May 20^th-Happy Birthday Taurus!

The Taurus season is when the seeds we planted with the Sun in Aries begin to grow just like the plants in our gardens.

The Sun in Taurus is a time to get steady on our feet, grounded, and turn our attention to the more material concerns of life. Taurus is typically a relaxed, sociable period as Venus is the ruler of the sign. Venus rules love, money and our values and this is where our attention will be focused over the next month.

With Venus as the star of the show, we tend to become more social, relaxed and interested in the more material joys and concerns of life such as beautiful objects and surroundings, clothes and perhaps a new hair style and what might be considered the finer things in life. This includes all things pleasant to our senses; sensuality, art, beauty and often rich foods. Now is the time to treat ourselves to things like spas, flowers even binge watching our favorite shows and just kicking back for a while. Taurus is the time to cultivate and develop a sense of deep security and personal comfort.

Full moon in Libra April 12th

This month’s full moon falls in one of the signs ruled by Venus; Libra. Libra is the ruler of the 7^th house of marriage and partnerships so this full moon is about relationships of all types. Perhaps it is fitting that we have a full moon in this signs since Venus also turns direct today.

The Moon trines Jupiter, the planet of expansion and gain making this a perfect time for getting together with others. Other than its opposition to the Sun which occurs on every full moon, this is the only transit the moon makes which is positive.

The Sun is conjunct Chiron or the wounded healer, so we may experience issues of insecurity in some form so they can be overcome. Chiron creates a focus on our emotional wounds so we may become aware and take steps to release the old negative emotional tapes.

On the world stage however things will not be so calm. This moon squares Mercury/Pluto in the US chart. Mercury in the 8th house is indicative of news and financial matters; likely Trump's tariffs and a financial downturn. The 8th house also rules death and Mercury is associated with young people. It also squares Pluto in the US 2nd house of money and values.

This full moon also stands out in the chart of Vladimir Putin, Russia and Ukraine President Zelensky. The war could escalate with transits like this.

New Moon in Taurus April 27^th

This month’s new moon falls in the other sign ruled by Venus or Taurus. This moon conjuncts the Sun as it does on every new moon but it also squares both Pluto and Mars. This won’t be peaceful like the full moon but it will bring up emotional issues or potentially even anger in some cases and some will be dealing with deep seated issues in some cases.

Taurus is the 2^nd sign of the zodiac and the ruler of money and finances so in many respects this moon will deal with money, love and our personal values.

Mars opposes Pluto

Mars opposes Pluto and the transit is exact April 26 which means this also becomes part of the new moon energy.

While April 26^th is the ‘exact’ date the aspect hits in all reality we will certainly feel this transit the 3 or 4 days before it is exact and a few days afterward. We experienced this aspect early November around the 3^rd-7^th and again when Pluto moved into Aquarius the week of the 17^th.

Mars/Pluto transits relate to anger, upset, aggressive actions. Look for power struggles, and abuse of power in some cases, others being overbearing, breakups in some instances, anger over sex or money and general feelings of uneasiness.

This will affect those to a greater degree who have planets in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius at 1-4 degrees.

This aspect will definitely affect the collective. We could see news of threats, wars, violence, police or military actions and other disruptive situations. We may also experience a feeling of personal values that do not coincide with collective tensions since Pluto affects us all. Expect to see grandstanding and those who try and force their will on others. Since the new moon in Taurus affects money we can also see market fluctuations.
