November 8th Midterms, 2022; The next chapter for the US

 

Election Day 2022 will not be like other elections we have seen in the past. In the end we can expect to see the unexpected as Uranus, the planet of shocks and unpredictable changes plays a major role. But, this is only one planet that will shake things up out of quite a few and not to forget we are still under the powerful and unpredictable Saturn-Uranus square which will be ‘set off’ by the lunar eclipse in Taurus. This makes it difficult to predict winners, and prone to events that are very changeable.

The lunar eclipse of November 8th

The lunar eclipse falls at 16 degrees of Taurus in the early morning hours of November 8^th. The Moon conjuncts Uranus which tells us the day will be supercharged, electric and disruptive with the potential for explosive situations and the possibility of unexpected events or volatility. Uranus aspects can be impossible to predict and often go in the opposite direction you think it will.

The Moon (eclipse) will oppose the Sun and Mercury in Scorpio and it will square Saturn.

The moon in Taurus is ruled by Venus the significator of young women, values and money. Its square to Saturn shows certain displeasure as Saturn represents restriction, and this can be interpreted as the disapproval of young women, among other things.  The Moon also signifies the public mood which will be somber and serious with its square to Saturn. With Venus as the ruler of the eclipse the elections will strongly involve women and they will likely drive the vote.

 Other aspects

Venus joins Mercury, the Sun and the South Node all in Scorpio squaring Saturn and opposing the Moon and Uranus.  Squares bring restrictions and delays. We can expect delays in the reporting of winners, and in all likelihood some type of voting restriction or problems voting in some areas are likely to occur.

Since 3 sets of planets are involved this forms a T-square or a difficult aspect in astrology that combines all of the energies of the planets involved. This includes:

-The Sun opposes Uranus-This is an aspect prone to upheaval and unexpected and/or explosive events.

-Mercury opposes Uranus-This is prone to nervousness, excitability and unexpected news.

-Venus opposes Uranus-This rules women, unexpected events and potential swings in the financial markets. Uranus also rules the internet and electronic equipment, so the potential exists of hearing of issues or problems in theses area.

The Moon will conjunct the malefic fixed star Algol which is malefic and leans toward people who in some cases are not thinking clearly. It has the reputation of a trouble maker and is associated with violence.

Mars is retrograde

-Mars is retrograde in Gemini and square Neptune. Mars’ square to Neptune tells us there may well be confusion and misinformation, or mysteries surrounding the election that could be real or just as easily fabricated to confuse the population which is more likely the case.  Mars retrograde means the planet of action is stymied and people can feel upset and on the edge. Some individuals will likely act as though they are outside of civilized boundaries. Mars retrograde can be compared to lighting a match at a leaking gas pump.

Since Mars is in Mercury’s sign, this retrograde is all about communication. Much of the communication will be backward, confused or incorrect and some of it deliberate.

With its square to Neptune we can expect uncertainties, lack of clarity and propaganda. We could also hear of scandalous behavior and potential police action. Since Mars sets off the Mars Neptune square in the US chart’s 9^th house of courts, we can expect lawsuits over the election to ensue, especially with the amount of propaganda and lies this aspect will produce.

This eclipse will affect the world not just the US. It shows up clearly in the chart of Vladimir Putin, so it would not be surprising to hear some type of news over the next few days relating to his ‘partners’ or his enemies. 

Uranus aspects are frequently connected with extreme weather events. Taurus has been connected to earthquakes.

In terms of our personal lives since Venus is the eclipse ruler this eclipse will deal with many shakeups concerning love and money. There will be some unexpected breakups, and there will be some unlikely partners who get together as well.
