Full Moon in Libra: Finding balance

The April 7th full moon falls at 19 degrees of Libra, the sign that rules marriage, partnerships and relationships. Relationships are the focus for many at this time. In these days of Covid-19 some are having too much togetherness and others too little. Both of these issues could cause problems, although typically Libra likes to compromise and avoid conflict. For many, this will be a challenging full moon.
This moon squares both Saturn and Pluto amping up emotions and as Pluto is involved things could become blown out of proportion. This is also a transit of obsessiveness. Some relationships could end at this time if they are tottering on the edge. If a relationship is basically stable there could be a bump in the road but not an ending. Other transits  would also have to be present to indicate this.
As the Moon is quincunx Neptune emotional sensitivity can lead to insecurity, paranoia or confusion. Neptune rules infection so the theme containing Covid-19 will continue, and this is an aspect of health imbalances in the collective. Otherwise it can be emotionally challenging.
Jupiter is conjunct Pluto and this aspect is exact only a few days before the full moon. Jupiter increases whatever it touches and in the case Pluto rules deaths (Covid-19), and extremes of all types. The Moon square Pluto means we will need to work to find balance if our emotions are feeling out of control.
We have a couple of other minor transits that give hope: Mercury sextile Jupiter is an aspect of positive thinking and communication and Mercury sextile Pluto can allow you to communicate effectively on a profound level. These aspects will help deflect some of the other ones, but we as individuals must choose which path to take. If you start a conflict with someone you can expect push back.
Full Moon danger and risk
Mars square Uranus makes this time prone to sudden and unexpected events in the collective and our own personal lives. This transit peaks shortly before the full moon and can make people impulsive and erratic. There is a tendency to act rashly and without regard for consequences. Someone else could also act in this manner toward you.
Now is not the time to take risks, act in a careless manner, or drive carelessly, as this can be a transit of sudden accidents. Use caution with knives, tools and metal as well.
Mars square Uranus is a significant aspect which last occurred May 17-19th in Aquarius-Taurus when Uranus first entered Taurus.  Uranus rules weather and lightening, aircraft, computers and the internet as well as rebellions and coups. Mars rules young men, guns, aggression, police and military.
Here are some of the things that happened the last time this transit occurred.
-Shooting at University of NC
-School shooting in Colorado
-Denver legalizes ‘magic mushrooms’
-Alabama passes anti-abortion bill
-Trump declares national emergency on IT threats
-Attempted shooting at Oregon High school
-Shooting at Virginia gathering
-Measles outbreaks
-Mass shooting in Va Beach
-Man sets himself on fire outside White House
The energy of this full moon will increase in the days beforehand and will last 2 weeks or until the New Moon on April 23.

Mars conjuncts Saturn: Lockdown!

Mars enters Aquarius March 30, at 3:44 PM, EST. This begins to break up the stellium of planets we have experienced in heavy Capricorn, which from an astrological level has contributed to the spread of Covid-19.

Mars in Aquarius is ruled by both Saturn and Uranus, so while in this sign we can expect to see many unexpected events and twists and turns.

Mars meets up with Saturn March 31st at 0 degrees of Aquarius. Mars likes action and Saturn will block it. This is a harsh combination, and is associated with cruelty, or feelings of cruel events or situations.

This combination would apply to things like lock downs, quarantines, police and military action, anger, frustrated actions, blocks and blocked action. The positive side would be determination and perseverance.

We will feel the effects of this energy before and after the dates mentioned especially those with fixed planets (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) at 0-1 degree.

April 2020: Saturn in Aquarius: Collective progress, justice and rearranging major structures

How the world can change in only a month! We are all in the middle of a worldwide pandemic the likes of which no one reading this blog has ever seen, and for many it seems the world has turned upside down. We will all get through this period, and we are seeing many random acts of kindness, he and compassion which is something the world can use. People are helping each other and pulling together and this may be the silver lining in this tragedy. Use this time to your own advantage as best you can. Even with disaster, spring is still here, the earth is alive and connecting can be a source of peace. Families are often too busy to spend time together, but now is the time to re-connect and get in touch with those things and people who really matter the most.

Many planets come into play during a pandemic, but the key players now are Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn and Mars all in Capricorn along with Neptune in Pisces. While Saturn has moved into Aquarius for a few months it will return.  Jupiter conjunct Pluto was key in the Spanish flu pandemic in 1819. The last time Pluto and Saturn were conjunct in Capricorn, the world saw the 'Dancing Plague." Pluto rules death and regeneration, and Jupiter expands whatever it touches. Jupiter is conjunct Pluto March 29-April 6, and this and the several weeks afterward appears to be a peak of the virus, and things can only improve as these planets seperate. This transit will return though.

Mars conjunct Saturn  began March 30th and is still active as the month begins. This is frustrating and restrictive energy but should show some improvement by the end of the first week of April. Mars-Saturn relates to frustration and quarantine, but can also indicate police or military action.

During April the fast moving planets (The Sun and Mercury) will still clash with Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto, but as these aspects complete we should have a more positive outlook going into May.  Jupiter conjunct Pluto will occur twice again this year in late June and November and its possible we could see a spike again during these times.

Saturn entered Aquarius March 21, and it will remain in this sign until July 1. It will re-enter Capricorn July 2, and remain here until December 18, when it re-enters Aquarius where it will remain until March of 2023.

Both Capricorn and Aquarius are ruled by taskmaster Saturn, but the energies will play out quite differently. Capricorn is a conservative earth sign, and Aquarius is a fixed Air sign.
Saturn is considered the great teacher, and the planet of structure and discipline. Keywords that describe Saturn are hard work, patience, discipline and maturity. Wherever Saturn goes it reveals the positive and the least positive-especially what is NOT working, and where we need to apply more of our energies to improve things.

Saturn in Aquarius rules the 11th house, or the collective. Our future over the next several years will involve the collective as opposed to the individual and our place in the collective. We will all be in it together or in other words just as we are now at the start of this cycle with the world pandemic. This does not mean the pandemic will continue for 3 years, but we will be concerned with issues that have a greater global and collective affect on us all. Our world has changed and will continue to do so during Saturn's transit through Aquarius.

During the years Saturn is in Aquarius it will ask us to change from a society of self-interest to one that recognizes the needs of the majority, or the collective. By doing so we have a chance to achieve a new and better form of Democracy that works for the majority as opposed to a minority.

Saturn in Aquarius also has a co-ruler: Uranus. Uranus rules the unexpected, explosive situations, technology, freedom and breaking away from the old, coups and revolutions. It also rules anarchy, bacteriology, birds, broadcasting, brotherhood, calamities, change, clairvoyants, electronics, fanaticism, genius, inventions, liberty, inequality, influenza, liberals, lighting, metaphysics, psychics, science, and zealots to name just a few. The nature of Uranus is to bring about change when we least expect it and from the least likely source. Uranus often shakes us out of our ruts to move forward in a new direction.

Saturn squares Uranus
Saturn began its square to Uranus in Taurus when it entered Aquarius March 21, but this square will not complete until 2021. The most intense period this year is between the time of this post and mid-April. Uranus square Saturn deals with upheaval and change in the world as well as our personal lives. In Taurus, this upheaval will affect money/financial markets, earth and weather related changes and conditions, possibly the production and distribution of food, coups and revolutions and unexpected events in the collective and our personal lives.

During Saturn’s time in Aquarius we will see major new advancement in thinking and technology during this  exciting period of time. We will also see changes in medicine and public health matters in the US.

Saturn in Capricorn
In Capricorn, Saturn is about building and hard work. Capricorn is conservative and restrictive and at the same time can represent big business and great wealth. It is a stodgy if not heavy sign and it’s conjunction with Pluto and Jupiter (in Capricorn) has brought about a great deal of turmoil in the world. Pluto changes, reforms and often tears down to rebuild.

Capricorn is a materialistic sign and also one of the signs that rules the earth. We have seen a great deal of materialism during the last 2.5 years Saturn has been in Capricorn. Now, as we approach the end of Saturn’s transit through Capricorn we are faced with the problem of what happens when society becomes so materialistic it ignores the majority, which is why income inequality has now become a theme we are being forced to deal with. Society as a whole cannot exist peacefully for long when the needs of the top 1% come at the expense of the 99%. Saturn in Aquarius will make this obvious and be an impetus toward change.

The earth itself is in need of our help as global warming and the consequences become a major theme we will be forced to work with one way or another. When Saturn transits Aquarius we will be forced to put the needs of the citizens and earth itself ahead of corporate greed and negligence of the planet. We will each be finding our own place in the collective.

Saturn in Capricorn deals with banks, big business and authority. Capricorn is needed in a society to create structure but there must be balance. Saturn in Capricorn often deals with authority and elite financial hierarchies which can lead to power imbalances and corruption.  Saturn has transited through Capricorn four times since the turn of last century and each time has brought about a recession.

Saturn and the zodiac signs
Saturn in Aquarius will work well for some signs and other signs will face more challenges as it does each time Saturn changes signs. Let’s take a look at the signs:
Aries-Saturn will sextile your Sun from the 11th house of friends, hopes and wishes. This should aid you in accomplishing what you desire as well as providing stability in groups and friendships.
Taurus-Saturn will clash with those born under the Taurus Sun, and you may have to work harder, and some may change jobs.
Gemini-Saturn trines your Sun creating opportunities for travel, education, and in general making your life more stable.
Cancer-Saturn makes no major aspects to your Sun but moves through your 8th house. You may focus on finances or investments and have to do without financial help from others you may be used to and forced to tap into your own inner resources. Major change can occur in your life over this time.
Leo-Saturn opposes your Sun. Relationships and partnerships may be more difficult and some relationships can end. You could hear news of those from your past, and you will have to work harder to accomplish what you normally do.
Virgo-Saturn makes no major aspects to your Sun. You may be more focused on work, day to day activities and health.
Libra-Saturn trines your Sun from your 5th house. Creativity, children, and friends may play a bigger part in your life, and you could find love this year. If so, it may not be the flashiest relationship but it could prove to be stable.
Scorpio-Saturn squares your Sun bringing changes in your home and basic foundation. In all likelihood you will work harder to accomplish your desires, and you could change homes or jobs, or experience issues with family members.
Sagittarius-Saturn sextiles your Sun from your 3rd house. You may spend more time with neighbors, co-workers or immediate family. This should be a stabilizing influence. You could learn something new and take more short trips.
Capricorn-Saturn has finally left your sign and you can breathe a sigh of relief. Saturn makes no major aspect to your Sun and this will be a period of focus on your finances which can grow with hard work.
Aquarius-Saturn enters your sign once every 30 years. This can prove to be difficult in some ways but it sets the stage for lasting accomplishment. During the year Saturn conjuncts your Sun major life events occur and you often re-create yourself in some ways.
Pisces-Saturn makes no major aspects to your Sun. It transits through your 12th house or the end of your chart. This means you are clearings the decks for a new start in a few years, and many things you are used to may end or change in preparation for new beginnings.

Other influences in April
Other significant planetary changes this month include the Sun’s transit from Aries to Taurus and Mercury’s transit into Aries. Venus moves through Gemini and Mars through Aquarius, and we will experience a full moon in Libra and a New moon in Taurus.

The Sun remains in Aries for another 19 days before it enters Taurus on April 20th. Wherever the Sun goes, the spotlight shines, and the Sun in Taurus brings with it a focus on money, income and material possessions. Taurus represents the 2nd sign of spring and the fullness of the season. This is a laid back sign and its qualities include resonating with the fullness of nature, good food, quality over quantity and an earthy energy that comes across as calm and relaxing. While many people are at home, now is the time to make the most of this energy and connect with the earth when you can.

Mercury, the planet of communication spends another 11 days in Pisces before moving into Aries. Mercurial energy in Pisces is often unclear and confusing. This can often manifest as intuitive and dream like, but communication will become much more clear and direct when it enters Aries on April 12th. April 3rd, Mercury conjuncts Neptune and this will be a day full of confusion and lack of clarity, although certain things may be revealed in the collective and our own personal lives. Dreams and creativity may be vivid.

Venus the planet of love and money moves from Taurus into the sign Gemini on April 3rd. Venus in this sign means love energy may seem more intellectual than physical, and Gemini can’t stand to be bored. Chivalry is not dead with Venus in Gemini. Expect your loved one to be more in the mood for stimulating conversation, and up for trying some new and different activities. Venus will be in this sign for over 4 months, as it will retrograde this year on May 13th.

Venus in Gemini will work well for Gemini, Libra and Aquarius as well as Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Venus in this sign will work well with Mars in Aquarius creating a lightening combination for love and social energy for Air signs. The two planets that rule love and attraction will be compatible with each other this month.
Mars began its journey through Aquarius March 30th, leaving conservative Capricorn for the sign that concerns the collective. It started off with a bang as it conjuncted Saturn March 30-31st. Mars rules our action and in Aquarius it is detached, friendly, logical and upbeat.

April’s full Moon
April’s full moon falls on April 7th at 18 degrees of Libra, and this is considered a Supermoon. Supermoons appear closer to the earth and are associated with extreme weather conditions, often tsunamis and earthquakes.
Libra rules the 7th house of marriage and partnerships and this moon will be about relationships. At this time we will re-access whether or not our relationships are serving a purpose and fulfilling our needs. There will be an overall desire to find balance and harmony. Libra is often associated with romantic relationships but can also include partnerships of different types.

This Moon will square Saturn and Jupiter and Pluto which means some relationships and other situations can encounter obstacles or even end, and things can become blown out of proportion.

Mars square to Uranus can have a dangerous affect in that people may act rashly and impulsively without thinking things through. It is important to use care at this time, as this transit can cause sudden accident or outbursts. We will also see sudden and unexpected events on the world stage.

April’s New Moon in Taurus
April’s New moon falls on April 22, at 3 degrees of Taurus. Taurus rules the second house of money and income which will be a theme and it conjuncts Uranus. This can create mood swings, and sudden and unexpected events with women. It squares Saturn creating an affect that frequently deals with having to face the reality of a situation. There is planetary help and hope however, as Mars trines Venus in Gemini/Aquarius. This will lighten the mood, and is good for romantic and social connections.

Pluto retrogrades
Pluto is the planet of absolute change, death and regeneration. On April 25th, it turns stationary retrograde at 24 degrees of Capricorn. It will remain at this degree until July 5, when it begins its retrograde movement and returns to 22 degrees of Capricorn. It will turn direct again September 29th.
This is a significant change, especially if you have Cardinal planets-Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn at 23-25  degrees.
Many issues relating to joint monies and investments, partnerships and sex will begin to be internalized during this period allowing us to look at things from a different viewpoint. Pluto is about making deep change that goes beneath the surface. One way of looking at this is destruction of that which is no longer working, which will now become obvious. Pluto wants to uncover things and bring them from the darkness or hidden realm and into the light.
Certain issues involving power or power structures may appear to lose steam during this time, but they are not really going away, they are just going under the surface, where activity is still occurring that can be significant when Pluto turns direct again. In a sense we are backing up, to reconsider ideas and information.
When Pluto turns direct again long term issues of this type (power issues) will surface again both in our personal lives and the world. But, as Pluto retrogrades we have the opportunity to look at things from a different perspective and effect a positive transformative change.

Important dates to watch in April
April 14th, the Sun begins its squares to the Cardinal planets mentioned earlier. April 14th, the Sun squares Pluto. This can bring about power struggles, and things, situations and relationships can break down. Use caution in your dealings with others. This transit and the others will represent significant news days as well,
April 15th the Sun squares Jupiter, and things can get blown out of proportion. Jupiter expands whatever it touches, and this can include egos. April 21, the Sun squares Saturn. This can seem restrictive and low energy or negative. Remember this is only passing energy, and will change soon.

April 25, Mercury squares Pluto. This transit typically manifests as intense if not obsessive thinking. While it may be a good day for research, it is important to remember not to let negative or obsessive thinking take over your mind on this day as this is a fast moving transit.

April 26, the Sun conjuncts Uranus. This can coincide with sudden and unexpected events or news. You could feel nervous or restless On the positive side, this can result in new directions, new ways of approaching things and brilliant solutions.

April 28, Mercury squares Saturn. This day can seem tiring and drag on, and you may experience negative thinking. It can be good for reflecting however, and finding workable solutions.

April 30, Mercury conjuncts Uranus. This day may be much like April 26, and you could receive some type of sudden and unexpected news. You could be restless or nervous. On the other hand, your mind may be filled with brilliant and unusual ideas. If so, write them down, as they will disappear as quickly as they came.

Happy April! May you and yours stay safe and healthy!

Saturn enters Aquarius: The roar of the collective

Saturn enters Aquarius March 21, at 11:57 PM, EST. Saturn has not been in Aquarius since 1994 (February 1991-January 1994). In the past century Saturn was in Aquarius January 1962-March 1964, and 1902-1905.

Saturn will remain in this sign through July 1, 2020 when it will return to Capricorn for another six months, re-entering Aquarius again December 18, 2020-March 7, 2023.

Saturn and Aquarius versus Saturn and Capricorn
Saturn in Aquarius is in the second sign Saturn rules, along with Capricorn although its energetic expression will be far different.
Aquarius is an Air sign, and Saturn in this sign is co-ruled by Uranus, the planet of sudden and unexpected events, so during Saturn’s time in this sign we may both collectively and individually experience unexpected events while the planet of structure and discipline (Saturn) occupies this sign. Air signs are prone toward new and futuristic as well as humanitarian thinking.

Saturn is considered the great teacher, and the planet of structure and discipline. Keywords that describe Saturn are: hard work, patience, discipline and maturity. Wherever Saturn goes it reveals the positive and the worst-especially what is NOT working, and where we need to apply more of our energies to improve things.
Saturn in Aquarius rules the 11h house, or the collective. Our future over the next several years will involve the collective as opposed to the individual. We will all be in it together, in other words.

As Aquarius rules the collective and Saturn is in this sign, we are now being asked to engage in social distancing (Saturn=restrictive in Aquarius (the collective) as a result of Covid-19 at the start of this cycle. Working online is something many people will utilize at this time (Uranus rules the internet), and air travel is not recommended and may be stopped for a time, at the time of this post. Aquarius rules groups, aircraft, lightening, cutting edge technology, thinking, logic and science, future oriented technology and solutions. It rules astrology, aeronautics, forward thinking individuals, freedom and new inventions, which we will see many of over the next few years.

During the years Saturn is in Aquarius it will ask us to change from a society of self-interest to one that recognizes the needs of the majority, or the collective and achieve a new form of true Democracy that works for the majority as opposed to a minority. Many changes will occur around the world.

Saturn in Aquarius has a co-ruler: Uranus. Uranus rules the unexpected, explosions, explosive situations, technology, freedom and breaking away from the old, coups and revolutions. It also rules anarchy, wild animals, assassination attempts, bacteriology, birds, broadcasting, brotherhood, calamities, change, clairvoyants, electronics, fanaticism, genius, inventions, liberty, inequality, influenza, liberals, lighting, metaphysics, psychics, science, and zealots to name just a few.

Saturn squares Uranus
Saturn began its square to Uranus in Taurus when it entered Aquarius march 21, but this square will not complete until 2021. The most intense period this year is between the time of this post and mid-April. This square will be exact the week February 2021, June 2021, December 2021, and October 2022.

November 2008-September 2009 we experienced a Saturn-Uranus opposition, a square occurred July 1999-May 2000 and we experienced a conjunction of these powerful planets February-October of 1988.

Saturn in Capricorn
In Capricorn, Saturn is about building and hard work. Capricorn is conservative and restrictive and at the same time can represent big business and great wealth. It is a stodgy if not heavy sig, and there is nothing light about it.  It’s conjunction with Pluto and Jupiter (in Capricorn) has brought about a great deal of turmoil in the world. Pluto changes, reforms and often tears down to rebuild. These three planets together represent two of the major ten aspects that create change and upheaval in the world. This transit deals with corruption, crime, corruption at the top and Jupiter-Pluto can deal with pandemics as it did with the Spanish flu in 1918 as well as governments and money.

Part of this issue will be amplified with Uranus in Taurus, which will create a clash with Saturn when it enters Aquarius, creating further upheaval, as it is now. We experienced the dust bowl the last time Uranus was in Taurus in the mid-1930’ which had a devastating effect on the Western and Plains regions  of the US due to poor farming practices that left the soil eroded.

Saturn in Capricorn deals with banks, big business and authority. Capricorn is needed in a society to create structure but there must be balance. Saturn in Capricorn deals with authority and top heavy financial hierarchies which can lead to power imbalances and well as corruption. News reports currently state a select group of Senators got word of the pandemic and its affects and dumped millions of dollars in stock ahead of the stock market decline which in normal society would be called insider trading punishable by prison time. This is only one example of many. Saturn has transited through Capricorn 4 times since 1900, and each time materialism has become too top heavy and we have experienced a recession in the US.

Saturn in Aquarius will force us to deal with the needs and desires of the collective as opposed to the 1%. Saturn began its square to Uranus when it entered Aquarius, but will not complete until 2021. During this time it will lead to upheaval but in the end we will have an opportunity to have a more balanced world. In this way we can experience true Democracy.

During the years Saturn is in Aquarius it will ask us to change from a society of self-interest to one that recognizes the needs of the majority. All is not negative however; we will see great advancement in thinking and technology during this new and exciting period of time. For the record, I believe there will be a vaccine for the cororavirus by December or January, or alternatively, there will be some other exciting new advancement in health care.

During these years we will see significant news regarding airlines, flight and aircraft or spacecraft. At the time of this post the airlines are asking Congress for a 50 million bailout. The last time Saturn was in Aquarius Pan American Airlines bankrupted and Eastern airlines shut down. Between 1991-04 we saw numerous significant airplane crashes, and NASA launched the Mars Observer for a flight to the Red planet.

Saturn and you
Saturn in Aquarius will work well for Aries, Gemini, Libra, and Sagittarius.  Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio may experience some challenges as it will square or oppose your sign as it does every 7 years. When Saturn enters your sign (Aquarius) you have entered a new 30 year cycle and in many ways will re-create yourself over the next 3 years. I will write more about this in the near future.

Saturn conjuncts Jupiter
Before this period is over Saturn will conjunct Jupiter, and this is another significant transit that deals with great changes in the evolution of man, history and thinking. This transit occurs every 20 years and the last time was Taurus, the sign ruling the earth and money. We have gone through a lengthy period of Saturn-Jupiter conjunctions in earth signs, and this year it will switch to Air signs.
Saturn will conjunct Jupiter in Capricorn December 15-18, 2020, and Aquarius December 20-28, starting a new period in Air cycles which will change thinking.

This cycle has sometimes been referred to as the “Presidential death cycle,’ although I am not predicting a death. No Presidential death occurred in 1980 or 2000. There were however assassination attempts both times. In my studies of Presidential astrology and assassinations neither George Bush or Ronald Regan’s chart indicated death by assassination, while the others did.

Too much stress-change is coming

See all of these planets in Capricorn? You don't have to be able to read a chart to notice the tight group of planets in the picture. This represents the Sun, Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto today, all in Capricorn. You could say this is responsible for the problems we are now facing globally.

Some words that could describe this:
-restrictions
-fear
-governments
-lockdown
-control
-big business
-too much responsibility
-market loss

On the other hand:
-determination
-focus on work and responsibility
-taking care of the sick/dying
These words also describe today. Tap into this!

This is today. The moon will shift into Aquarius after 9P EST, and this alone should lighten the mood. Saturn leaves Capricorn for Aquarius March 22. Mars leaves Capricorn for Aquarius March 30.

We have a new moon coming in Aries March 24th.
Saturn and Mars meet up March 31, and this is still stressful. Mars squares Uranus April 7th and this is a day to watch.

Most importantly, Jupiter separates from its conjunction with Pluto on  April 8th, Jupiter-Pluto expands whatever it touches, as in the virus and fear.

I'm not saying things will be perfect, but it has to get lighter. Bit by bit. Starting tonight.

Mercury direct, coronavirus and the US chart

Mercury changes direction at 11: 49 PM, EST, March 9th. With Mercury’s change in direction we often get news, new information comes out, or something changes direction once again. I think we can expect news on a collective basis and for some an individual basis. Mercury turns direct at 28 degrees of Aquarius, but within about a week it will go back into Pisces. It’s direct motion can only be good!

The stock market has dropped considerably, especially March 9th  when trading was halted for 7 minutes. Venus conjunct Uranus, a full moon opposing Neptune and the US chart can all be blamed for this.

In my last newsletter I wrote the full moon will reveal more information on the Coronavirus and this seems to be the case. But with the Sun conjunct Neptune widespread fears and visions of doom become part of the problem. This full moon is Virgo represents pure worry and its opposition to Neptune, fears. The virus is out there, but we can take some precautions. Those most affected will be over 60, and/or have compromised immune systems, apparently. These individuals need to be even more careful. I would also point out we have gotten through Ebola, H1N1 and the Swine flu to name a few.

There are several significant problems in the United States chart at this time and astrologers have been looking at this for a long time. First of all Saturn is conjunct Pluto in the US 2nd house of the Sibly chart which relates to money. This is a restrictive transit and the stock market began to go down as soon as this aspect hit. It will occur twice more in 2020 before it is over.

The second problem is Pluto (conjunct Saturn) and opposing Mercury from the 2nd to 8th house in the US chart. This represents several things for people living in the United States.

First of all this is the negative political vitriol that is non-stop. I would like to say this will change but it will not. What we can do is check the facts of what we hear, and many of them will turn out to be completely false. Personal awareness of this is needed.

Secondly, this represents the stock market and trade. The 8th house rules international trade and a great deal of money has been lost over the past several years and there was a large tax cut. We learned in the Reagan years that a trickle down economy does not work. Almost as soon as Pluto began its opposition to Mercury the stock market started its decline. Pluto will remain at 24 degrees of Capricorn where it is now until July and will return twice more at the end of the year and in 2012.

The 8th house also rules national re-birth and death. From what I see we are looking at a national re-birth that may well begin when Saturn enters Aquarius later this month if not a revolution of sorts. I am not talking about a revolution like the Civil war where opposing sides killed each other in the 1860’s, but more of a Civil war of ideas. We are also approaching America’s Pluto return next year. The last time Pluto was at this point (27 degrees of Capricorn) was during the American revolution.

Pluto opposing Mercury also relates to intense if not obsessive thinking as well as fears. Anyone who has experienced this transit personally will attest to this, including myself. These amps up the obsessive and fearful energy in the US among the population and creates negative and fearful thinking.

Mercury’s direct motion in Aquarius may bring up some new and interesting ideas, but it will return to Pisces on March 16, where it was in February. Pisces is ruled by Neptune, the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion, so energy and thinking can become confused if not fearful.
On April 4th, and the surrounding days Mercury will conjunct Neptune, and this will be another confusing if not fearful day. Once again, we may hear news of the virus.

Experts aren’t sure, but it appears warmer weather could help the spread of the virus as it appears to thrive in lower temperatures. You can google this and decide what to believe for yourself, if anything. We are still in the early stages of the virus.

In terms of the stock market it has been artificially inflated for a long time. I have advised anyone who asked to stay away from the stock market for a long time now, although there are those who have still made money, some of them a great deal.  Personally, based on the charts I think this long ride is over, but I sincerely hope that I am wrong.

It is going to be an interesting year for sure, but we can all bode well not to go into a panic state, as the US chart suggests. Work on improving your own world and your corner of the universe is my best advice.

Full Moon in Virgo: Fact over fiction

This month’s full moon falls in the sign that rules health, health related matters and work. The lunar peak occurs March 9, at 1:48PM EDT at 19 degrees of Virgo. This is considered a Super Moon. Super Moons appear closer to earth and are associated with earthquakes and severe weather or earth catastrophes. At the time of this post the death toll is at 25 and rising from a tornado that devastated areas of Middle Tennessee.

Virgo is considered the most critical of signs, that is the most detail and task oriented and in some cases this sign can be overly critical or self critical. It is the natural ruler of the 6th house of work, health, pets and service to others. For many of us, our attention on the full moon will lie in these areas. You could feel inclined to ‘dig in’ to some kind of issue. The problem however could be in your perception of it.

This Moon opposes Neptune, the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion. The Sun also conjuncts Neptune increasing the confusing energies. A moon like this can create fear, confusion and depression for some. It is important to remember this and keep fears in check, and also to remember things are often not nearly as bad as we may project them to be. Going down a depressing and melancholy rabbit hole is a useless exercise! The moons trine to Jupiter can help with this. It is also supported by Mars and Saturn which can only be positive. Choose faith over fear, and fact over fiction.

The other side of this transit is compassion, spirituality, and intuition. Compassion can be given or receive and creativity may be at an all time high. Dreams may be vivid at this time, and you could experience some amazing intuitive insights.
Mercury is still retrograde on this Moon so, we can still expect confusion, delays, breakdowns and the like. It will however turn direct within 10 hours of the Moons peak. This could create more confusion as sometimes we experience further changes or revelations as Mercury turns direct. But, at least it will be direct!

In the world we are likely to see water related weather conditions, news of the spread of HB19 and mysteries and fears surrounding this virus. Panic should be avoided if possible. We could also hear news of religious groups or those who push religious theologies. We could also hear news of women, movies, women’s issues, audits, and convoluted thinking or deliberate propaganda aimed at disinformation.
