New Moon in Libra October 13: Should I stay or should I go?

This  month's new moon occurs in Libra on October 12, at 8:06 P.M., EST and the focus will be on relationships.

Libra is the sign ruling the 7th house of relationships, marriage and courts.

While it depends on where it falls in your chart, for most this moon deals with relationships, both romantic and non-romantic. Many changes can occur on this moon in our significant relationships and emotional lives.

This moon squares Pluto and opposes Uranus. A square to Pluto can bring out obsessive behavior and control issues or issues about sex or finances. Pluto always brings about some type of transformation, and depending on what else is in your chart, it can be good or bad, but either way it brings change.

An opposition to Uranus can bring about sudden, unexpected and sometimes shocking events one way or another. Uranus is often considered unstable and changeable.

Uranus is the planet associated with freedom and individuality. You might want to break free from on oppressive situation or someone else could feel this way, and some relationships will end.

The Sun opposes Uranus on October 11, adding to the Uranian energy that typically brings surprises and unexpected situations, and this new moon energy will become powerful at this time.

As Mercury turned direct October 8, these few days are often the period when information is revealed or things change again, and Mercury is in Libra as well. This is a powerful station of Mercury as Venus, Jupiter and Mars are in the sign that rules Mercury, and situations can change once again.

Typically, it is the unstable relationships that end on transits like this, or those tottering on the edge. If you are in an uncommitted or questionable relationship now is not the time to press a point, make demands or issue ultimatums.

At times Uranus can bring something new and fresh into the picture or you may decide to do something different or out of character.

Venus forms a T-square with Saturn and Neptune. A T-square involves the energies of all three planets. As Venus squares Saturn October 10, this energy can make us reassess what we want and what we are receiving in our relationships. Its opposition to Neptune (October 16) can create confusion, doubt and a lack of clarity in our personal (and business) relationships.

This New Moon is the companion to the Aries eclipse of September 27, that fell in Aries.
